Customers admire the KX-TGD562G Link2Cell phone's ease of use, excellent sound quality, and attractive design. Many appreciate the Bluetooth capability, caller ID features, and long battery life, while also finding it to be a good value for the price. Some users noted that the ring volume could be improved and that the setup process could be simpler. However, the positive feedback on features like reception and range outweighs these minor drawbacks.

We bought this in January 2019 to replace a 20 year old phone on our landline that had static issues. We are very pleased with the two handset system. Very easy to set up. Sound quality is excellent for calls and answering machine, something important to us as we are in our mid 60s. The phones sync well with our cell phones although that has dropped once or twice after leaving house with cell phone. Easy to reconnect cells so not a major issue. Caller/text ID announcing is a nice feature although “voice” on machine is kinda weird. Still easy to understand. We ended up buying a third extension handset to replace an even older (25 years) landline phone. It’s nice that you don’t have to connect extensions to a phone jack so they can go anywhere. I would say this was a good purchase.

So far so great! The reception in my new Panasonic Cordless Phone is everything I wanted. The phone itself is lightweight and the white-rose color makes it fun and unique amongst other boring white landlines. The answering system works well except it can be difficult to understand the caller screening voice. There are other perks with the phone such as blue tooth, expandability, wall mount and call block and more that makes it way more useful than my previous land line phone.

The phone is easy to use ,and program. Nice and slim, fits the hand nice. Love the way the phone talks after two rings, telling you who is calling.so you don't have to keep jumping up to answer if you don't have to.

My entire reason for selecting this phone was the "Link2Cell" feature so that I could use my cell as a cordless phone with a more comfortable handset as I frequently have extended conversations with my mom and others. For reference, I have a Moto G3 phone linked to the unit and I use Consumer Cellular wireless phone service, having now dropped Verizon HomeConnect to save money.
So far the call quality has been very good, but not perfect all the time. In conversations with Mom, who talks to me directly via her cell phone (also Moto G3 Consumer Cellular), a couple of times her voice became garbled. This mainly happened when she used her speaker phone. To be fair, part of it could simply be the service and connection with Consumer Cellular although they have full coverage in both locations.
PROS/THINGS I REALLY LIKE:
Text Message Notifications - a low volume, unobtrusive chime sounds and the name of the party messaging displays on the headset. I then check my PC with SMS interface and can read and respond to the message.
Automatic Bluetooth pairing setting - All I have to remember to do when I come home is turn on my cell phone's Bluetooth, and within a minute the Panasonic picks up and links to my cell.
Volume and speakerphone on the headsets is very good. My mom has said she can hear me just as well with the linked handset as directly on my cell phone.
Programmable features are great. Ring settings can be set independently so if 2 different phones are linked, you can tell which number is receiving a call.
CONS:
Basic limits - it may be that the wireless carriers pressure manufacturers like Panasonic not to make this technology too perfect so people will still need a regular type phone and pay for a second phone line. As mentioned above, at times the conversation became garbled and the phone once was slow to react to a call coming in (already my cell phone was vibrating for 2-3 rings).
Short battery life on handsets - I was surprised to see that the handsets each used 2 AAA rechargeable batteries (supplied with phone). While they charge up quickly, when the phone is off the charger the batteries run down fairly quickly even when not on a call. I like to rotate the handsets so they don't just sit on the charger constantly after reaching full charge. Since I can use both handsets if necessary it's a non-issue for me, and for normal length calls it won't be a problem.
Programming takes awhile to figure out - it took me about a week to get everything set the way I wanted. The manual is very good but there's ALOT of information in it so it takes time and patience to get everything set the way you want to. There are codes that can be entered to the phone to take you directly to the setting you wish to change. These are useful but you have to refer back to the guide every time for the ones you use irregularly.
OVERALL - Very pleased with this; the money saved from dropping back to one phone will pay for the phone in less than 4 months. Just don't expect absolute perfection from this as it has its limitations.

This seemed the perfect product, I wanted to have access to the phone in my living room, although the phone jack was in the kitchen. The base unit/satellite unit looked like it would be perfect for me. The base unit mounted easily on the wall mount and setup and linking the units went quickly and easily. I love how I can control some of the settings on both units from the satellite unit. When the ringer on the base unit was too loud, I was able to set it from my recliner.
Calls are clear, no problems there. The phone has the ability to link by bluetooth to my cell phone which is a mixed blessing and why I gave it only 4 stars. First of all, in downloading my phone directory, the system grabbed the wrong phone listings and I didn't have most of my heavily used phone numbers. I don't know where the system found that directory as my cars infotainment system got the right directory without a problem I was finally able to get the numbers on the system by manually transferring the contacts from my phone, one by one.
When the cell phone is linked, it effectively becomes a third station on the sytem. Every call received on my cell phone, rang the system and the voice system announced the number. I wasn't thrilled with that. In addition, my battery usage on the cell phone went way up and I would have to recharge midday when I was home. I finally unlinked my cell phone.

This phone system functions very well as advertised. Having two months here is the quick review:
Reason for purchase = Switch from MagicJack to cell phone (Tracfone) for use as landline substitute
Setup and install = Easy to moderate. Once you get used to entering codes
Call quality (Magicjack ) = Improved clairity over old system
Call quality (Tracfone ) = Unable to notice when using handset versus cell phone.
Functions once paired to cell phone = Learning curve on using setup codes was main hurdle. Largests downfall is not being able to use system as answering machine, however this is a known issue. Checking cell phone voicemail from handset can be tricky, but possible.
Interesting functions = System will announce incoming text messages.
Pros = Good call quality, as advertised, helpful functions once paired to call phone.
Cons = Considering many folks would enjoy the convenience of pairing their cell phone to home system Panasonic should create useful Online (maybe Youtube videos) describing how to setup system and use functions. This is the reason to rate as good versus excellent.
Conclusion = While subjective, this is one device I never thought of returning. Good value for price paid.

Panasonic’s are the only phone products I by and have been buying then since 1990! They have the best quality ever made and easy to use! Love rose gold and had to get this one. So lightweight and easy on the ears. The features are the best and having control over what calls come in, the best!

My home phone service was out. This is the same phone I already had, only with Bluetooth. Bought it so I could use my cell phone at home and use this phone to get the calls. Worked great. Could hear the cell phone ring through this phone and could answer it in 2 different rooms.

Our home phone decided not to work anymore so I decided to buy this handset. I like the design and it's aslo very lightweight. It has all the bell and whistle plus you can link your cellphone through the bluetooth to this phone. Overall it's good for home phone. It seems to hold long talk as I paid attention when my wife using it.

Replaced an older land line phone that had a loud ring that could only be turned down at the hand sets while the base still rang loudly. The phone included many more features than the old phone that cost much more than new Panasonic; it also looks much nicer than the old one.

Replaced a six year old Panasonic system. Easy to set up. Let the batteries charge overnight. New sound is clear and crisp. Easy to use. Love the messaging system. Would definitely recommend as an inexpensive if, like us, you have to have a land line because your cell signals are very poor.

I wanted something that would allow me to have my iPhone in another room and make sure I don't miss calls when the iPhone ringer turns itself off, and this set of phones does just that. It was easy to set up and now when I get a call on my cell no matter where I am in the apartment I can hear the cordless phone ring and announce the call verbally. I keep one in my home office and one in the living room. 2 are great for an apartment, you might need more in a larger space. The calls when I use the cordless handset are a little static-y sometimes, but mostly I pick up the cell to actually speak. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space, and the rose-gold and white is very attractive but subtle.

I work at home and need a good landline phone. This fits the bill for me. It was easy on my budget and provides good sound so I can hear even those who like to mumble through a conversation. I like the built in answering machine and the long-lasting battery. The caller ID is very readable.
