The Panasonic - KX-TGF892B DECT 6.0 Expandable Corded/Cordless Phone System is great for those who use a landline phone while needing modern tech. Quite a few homeowners no longer have a landline phone due to the covert and advancement of cell phones over the years. For those that still have a landline, this phone system is great. We still have a landline because our security system does not have cellular connectivity and uses a landline system to dial out. The base of the system connects to the phone line jack that comes out of your wall. It also requires power with its included power chord that needs to be plugged into a power outlet. The smaller cordless phones do not have to be plugged into a phone line. You can place them anywhere in your home, as long as the charging base is plugged into a power outlet. Setup was extremely easy. The base station requires you to input the date and time, and the same goes for the headsets. After that, it’s ready to go. There are more advanced features you can use, with instructions for those in the user manual. The Bluetooth feature for the headsets work great. I was able to pair my Apple AirPods to them, which allows me to talk on the phone without having to hold the headset to my ear. This comes in handy while cooking, doing the dishes, or other household chores. Overall, I’m impressed with this unit and hope to get many years of great service from it.

For those who still use land lines, the Panasonic KX-TGF892 phone system combines the reliability of a corded phone with the flexibility of cordless phones in an easy to set up system. The package includes two cordless handsets with a corded handset base, however up to four additional cordless handsets may be added. A user may also pair the system with a Bluetooth device. One nice feature is that the base unit has a large, easy to read screen, and even though the cordless handsets have smaller screens, they are also very readable. The system has a number of additional features which are explained in a clear instruction book such as a digital answering machine, an internal phonebook holding up to 100 numbers, and a talking caller ID. This would be a good system for a large household or for a small business. In terms of design, it's a little busy but when you have to have actual buttons to navigate and select, it is something that can't be helped. When you consider that it's a land-line they did pretty good with the button layout, keeping it as clean as they could to access the features. There's a lot of scrolling involved, but that's good if you like features. The only way to be a cleaner design in my mind is to remove features completely and that wouldn't make sense in this tier. I guess a touch screen, but the audience of this phone system wouldn't need something so touchy. Overall great!

I really like the corded base station in combo with the wireless handsets. I primarily keep a land line active in my house for 911 service, but I do use the phone for doing household business and every now and then a personal call. I’ve used a few different Panasonic phone systems over the years. This one impresses right out of the box. The materials feel high quality, not slick or flimsy. The styling of the base unit is very much improved over my full cordless system from a few years back. Very clean, no logos or tacky space-styling. The wired base handset is sturdy and the micrphones work great. The buttons on the base are big, have a good feel and responsiveness. The display on the base is gigantic and so easy to read from across the room. The system can store a massive amount of phonebook entries, record up to 17 minutes and 30 seconds of messages or you can record both sides of a call for future retrieval. The one-touch buttons are great, I put Il Forno Pizza on one of them. The phone comes with every calling feature you could want, allowing you to set the flash time for call waiting to 400 or 900ms is very nice with the Comcast phone service-which is a bit unpredictable using the flash key on the old phones, but the new phone works great. Any setup is available via the base on the giant display using the 4-way and select button for the answering machine to navigate. The wireless handsets have a shorter range than my previous DECT 6.0 Panasonic phone system, I assume this is due to the different base unit. I just moved the base unit to the other end of my desk and I’m able to get clear signal throughout the house. I am not able to walk out in the yard while talking on the cordless handsets like my old phone, though. The phone also has a hold feature, which lets you put a call on hold on one handset and then you can pick up on another, very nice, and it works well. I was not able to check out the baby-monitor feature, which looks cool, but no babies here…. Using a bluetooth headset with either of the handsets worked just as well as could be expected, with good range allowing me to connect my Creative Outlier buds and walk sometimes surprisingly far from the handset I was connected to. They seems to reconnect automatically if you get too far out of range. It’s rather nice with the landline clarity and the wireless freedom of a headset how pleasant phone calls could be. It’s important to note that this is not the Link2Cell feature, which lets you pair your Bluetooth cell phone with it to make and answer cell calls. The speakerphone is clear, with good volume for a small office. The call block feature on the new phone and the other spam call stoppers have been 100% effective. I have only gotten one ring from a spam call and hit the big old block button and haven’t heard back. Many robocallers will call multiple times, it’s more peaceful without the nuisance calls ringing around the house. Top marks on this phone, so close to perfect!

Most people nowadays really don't use landline phones anymore, but I still have a landline phone mainly for my business at home. I had a phone that I used for about 12 years now, and didn't really think about replacing it until like the last three or four months. Panasonic is always had really good products in a pass, and I figured it would be great to give them a shot and see how they were with the home phone. I gotta say though, if you have a landline this is the phone to get! For starters, I really like the fact that it comes with two cordless phones! My previous phone only have one cordless phone, and I will always take it into the kitchen with me and forget to put it back when finished. No I can have one cordless phone in the kitchen and one in my bedroom, and not have to worry about ever forgetting it again! And one of my favorite things about this phone is the clarity when using speakerphone! I can literally hear them Crystal clear, and I don't get any complaints on their end either! I'm also glad that, the batteries are rechargeable and AA batteries! My all-time favorite part of this phone, is how it blocks all of the spam calls I get on a daily basis! I have 1 million spam calls a day that really makes me mad. When my phone starts ringing, and I run to go and answer it, just to see that it's a spam call. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna find out way more stuff when I use the phone a little bit more, but I'm loving everything I've gotten up until this point! If you are in search of a landline phone, this is definitely worth every penny!

When I order this online, the rep did not ask me if I have more that one line and I assumed it was a muli line phone since it came with multi hand sets. Joke was on me. After ording this and additional hand set to go with this system we find that this is only for a 1 line phone. So we sent it back all of them. Waste of of billable time for us.

We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you experienced with the online support with locating the right product that met your needs. Most of the Panasonic telephone systems are only one line units, but we do have a couple models that are two lined telephone systems. We hope you were able to locate a multiple telephone line unit that would work for you. Panasonic
