Video quality is fantastic (as expected from Panasonic), even when you let the camera choose all the parameters. The camera is highly customizable, it is very light and the touch flip-out screen is really good. I don't believe you can get such a great video quality at this price range with any other camera. Even with the kit lens. the results are great. Picture quality is very good as well. Sometimes not comparable with cameras with a larger sensor but still great, especially if you use prime lenses.

I bought this camera last year, and it is still really good. I love picture's color and touch screen is easy to use.

I don’t know much about cameras or photography but this camera was pretty easy to use. I know there are more complex functions for those in the know but if your just trying to take really high quality video and upgrade your selfies then this is a good camera to use. Battery life is great, too.

Okay, so there are clearly better cameras in existence, let’s just get this out of the way. Nonetheless, for what you pay, you sure do get a lot. If you want to get into photography, I would say invest in this, the presets on this camera are great. All of the pics in this review came directly from my lumix

Love this camera it’s really great for a beginner like me very easy to use hope it last me for a long time. Great quality video, auto focus isn’t that great but isn’t really an issue for me as I’m mostly always using manual focus.

I received this camera a little more than 4 months ago, and used quite a bit on a trip, everyday, for my digital photography class assignments. Pictures turn out better and better, as I am becoming more familiar with aperture, shutter speed and ISO, and getting more comfortable using them in custom and manual modes. I like that the camera is lightweight, user-friendly, touch-screen that can be rotated and angled, more compact than DSLRs and of course 4K capability. I also ended up investing in lenses and got 45-150 lens. Bottom line, would I buy it myself (as it was a gift) and the answer is - YES. Is it worth the price? Love this camera, really simple to use but has lot of options if you know how to use a camera. I prefer this over most Canons unless you wanting to spend the money on a 70D which is about $500 more. The 4k Video is amazing, the 1080/60p is stellar for home use or for youtube. I mainly purchased to use for video, I have it on a joby tripod and it is awesome! Also can get the Road Go mic for it and the kit lens will work, only down side is the micro four thirds lens to get a wide angle are about as much as the camera.

I've been a fan of micro 4/3 for many years. This replaces an older Lumix camera body that was lost. I really like the way it handles and the image quality. The micro 4/3 kit is much lighter than my Fuji X-series when I travel. I'm very pleased with this purchase

This is going to be your favorite camera of all time. If you are used to getting blurry pics of your kids or missing the best shots, then you have to try this camera! I have been a long time Nikon user so it did take a little time to get used to the new settings. Overall I think it's very user friendly. It has so many neat features that my Nikon does not have. So far I love it! I can't get over how light weight the camera is. It's so easy to bring this in my diaper bag or purse and it does not take up a lot of room. My daughter is a playing soccer and I can't wait to take more pics of her playing. With the burst shooting, I'll be able to take some awesome action shots. So far my favorite feature is the camera app you can get to easily share pictures fast! No more waiting on pics to download to your computer.

I was hoping to get a 4K camera this year for my business. I wanted the Gh4 but just didn't have the money, and then I heard about this camera, and how it filmed in 4K. Let me tell you this is amazing, and I got the camera with kit lens for $509! I have not used the Gh4 but I"m sure there are a lot of same features. Is this built as good no, but if you're looking for a camera that has a lot of goodies like: Touch Screen, amazing view finder, two step, mic input, WiFi, and more The one really down side is this the SD card slot is in the battery compartment I'm not sure why they did this but it's one of the very few downsides to this camera

I am a complete amateur when it comes to camera and photography, but I wanted a good camera for streaming and video. After reading many reviews and looking at cameras in my budget, I decided on the LUMIX G7. So far, this has been a great camera, and I’m satisfied with the video quality. there is a bit of a learning curve as the DSLR have many different settings, but it’s nothing you can’t learn from one of the many YouTube videos about the G7. If you are going for photography, you may want to look into other options, though this camera isn’t bad at taking pictures by any stretch. Where this camera can flex, though, is in its 4K video and streaming capabilities. I had this camera recommended to me, and I would definitely recommend to others for high quality, yet affordable streaming. Bear in mind that in order to use this camera as a webcam, you will also need to purchase something like the Elgato CamLink and an HDMI-to-microHDMI cable. You will also want to invest in a power supply so as to not be constantly running on the camera battery. Happy streaming!

Although I intended to vlog with this camera, I think this is the best camera for regular videography. The auto focus isn't that great with vlogging but using manual is the best way to go anyway. I have taken some great photos with this camera, however, I would only go for this if you are a beginner or want to test other brands outside of the one you normally use.

This is a great entry level camera for both photos and video. Autofocus is a little off at times, but overall the videos are great. Lenses are easy to come by as well. Highly recommend for someone starting off!

Bought as gift, recommended by friend. My husband loves it! He used to have a nice canon that got stolen and is so excited re; his new lightweight compact camera for travel vs. lugging heavy camera on hikes. He is still learning all the features. Fast click fps. Love that there is wifi transferability for ease. Good clear pics. for all conditions. Nice to have touch screen for editing, that flips over so you can see on back of camera or at take pics at different angles w/ rotation of screen vs. using viewfinder. Good for us w/ aging eyes!

It works great, got it for a graduation gift, I really like how it works, simple to use, light and easy to carry around, definetly would recomend it for someone who needs an affordable camera, got it on a good deal.
