I wanted to move away from my nikon d7000, which a little large and heavy for chasing around my grandchildren. This camera has great picture quality and is small enough to slip into a jacket pocket. The choice of lenses is great, too.

I got interested in M43 cameras with a Panasonic G1. I found this one on open box special, and couldn't pass up the deal. Nice compact camera with a vintage look. Very bright and clear viewfinder. I used the 14-45mm from the G1 on it, and it takes very sharp pics. I didn't care for the 12-32mm kit lens, as it has no manual focus ring. All in all, a nice camera, particularly for what I paid for it.

Worth it for the built-in stabilization. The included zoom lens is pretty awesome with it's tiny size, but I didn't realize that it can't be focused manuallly which is a bummer.

This is a great camera. I like the ability to take a wide angle shot with the 12-32 standard lens. I have to take my prints to Sam's club to print 16x9 shots on a 4x6 format.

The Panasonic - LUMIX GX85 Mirrorless Camera with G VARIO 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S Lens - Black is a very versatile camera with great picture quality. Still trying to figure out all of the features and need to purchase a spare battery to use the 4K video.

I bought this for my short vacation and I couldn't be happier. It is very light weight and have Quick AF with proper lightning. It also has better battery life than my P&S Sony RX100. I did wish it came with a standard wall charger not the USB charging cable thru the body.

Wow! This little Panasonic was introduced 4 years ago & still ahead of it's time. Compact & ready for on the go traveling. I added the Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 lens & completely satisfied!

This is my first interchangeable lens camera so I have nothing to compare it to. Love the quality of video and stills. It is an obvious huge improvement over my 6 year old point and shoot. I chose this camera because IBIS, price, and small form factor.

This is my first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, so I have some learning curves. This camera takes beautiful pictures, the 12-32 kit lens is not the best, but takes nice pictures. Fits well in the hand and portal without being bulky.

This camera allows you to use all of the existing lenses that you already own. This makes for a very versatile camera. It can be just a simple automatic camera or you can make it very detailed manually.

I want to give this 5 stars but I don't have enough experience with it yet. From what I have done and what I can see, it is a powerful camera with great features. Using a IS lens with the internal IS gives amazingly sharp images even while using a 300mm handheld. I hope to post a more detailed review in the future

    Unbelievable pics from the GX85

I've been using a Sony NEX 7 for many years with good results and started reading about some newer cameras with touch screen technology wifi and many other features. Well I took the pling and the pics from the GX85 puts the NEX 7 to shame. Color saturation, detail are far superior. The biggest negative the GX85 has is it's so full features that it may take a year to learn everything. But the results will be worth it in the end.

For the price point and capability, this is the best investment you can make if you want to take high quality video/pictures but don't have $3,000 for a higher end camera.
