Try to lower the volume and you have no sound. By the time it developed this problem it was too late to return. I should have made a stink and demanded my money back. Never heard of such a weird problem. Just DON'T BUY THIS RADIO. It's junk.

problems with the volumn

Tried everything recommended and nothing works. I am just going to have to trash it. Hoping to find another am/fm radio that will last a little longer.
