Connects Instantly and sensitive microphone

Easy plug and go feature, clear picture and sensitive mic and camera that picks up on sound and movement. Alert sounds off when detectors are triggered and I don't lose connection throughout the entire house. The screen times out to save battery but wakes up when alarms are triggered.

This is my first baby monitor for my first child so I can't speak towards comparing it to anything else but I'll say that this device does what it's supposed to pretty well. And that's about it. Which is fine.
Setup was a breeze as more and more devices now a days are. Plug in the camera where you want it. You can stand it up somewhere or mount it on a wall. There's a lot of tilting and panning you can do to get the camera where you want it. Power cord is long enough for where ever you might want to place or mount it. Plug the wireless screen in to make sure it's charged and... that's it. There are a couple of simple prompts for setup but really it's ready to go out of the box.
Using it works well for the things that are important. There's a motion sensor that's sensitive enough to always pick up what you want. There's audio monitoring and then there's a temperature setting so you can make sure the baby's room isn't too cold or hot. The device offers you alerts for either "minor" events or "major" events and differentiates them with the color of the notification light bar on the screen. So you know if there was a lot of movement or sound immediately. Basically that's all there is to it. It does a great job of making you aware of any instances that might need attention quickly and to me, that's what a baby monitor should do.
So that's the good. The bad is able to be overlooked in my opinion but you may have a differing opinion. The option to soothe your baby to sleep is very limited isn't all that great. There are only a few things that can be played. Don't buy this for that feature. The camera quality is also pretty lack luster in a day and age where high quality HD cameras are available and relatively cheap. For the price of this baby monitor, I was expecting the quality on the camera to be a bit better. It's not a deal breaker. The camera is fine and passable but it's not a camera I'd expect to be put in an item that costs this much in 2019/2020.
One more negative that's actually a positive as well is the closed wireless system. The camera and screen aren't run on wifi or anything. They communicate with each other directly so you shouldn't have to worry about someone being able to tap into your wifi and start snooping on your child. I consider this a plus. But not being able to pull up an app on my phone and needing to carry around the separate screen is kind of annoying when practically everything else now a days connects to your phone. If you're the kind of person who has their network locked down tight and want to have everything integrated into your phone, you may not love the closed system. That will 100% be a personal preference.
So final thoughts are that this baby monitor is good at a few things and they all happen to be, monitoring your baby. Exactly what you'd want a baby monitor to be good at. The extra frills like the lullaby tones, I count as just that. Extras. Try it out and use it if you like it but what's important is what's done right. I would have loved to see a little better of a camera in a device that costs this much but I've been able to overlook that initial disappointment. If you want a device baby monitor and this one is in your budget, I would still recommend it despite the couple of flaws in my eyes.

The Panasonic Connected Home Baby monitor is a nice looking baby monitor. The camera unit has a stuffed animal or toy look, which may be soothing for a little one. The monitor's design is typical for the industry, rectangular shaped with buttons/controls on one side, power button on the top surface and wedge shaped fold out antenna. It also comes with a wall mount for the camera unit. So aesthetically par for the course.
It has all the core baby monitoring features, color video when there's enough light, night vision via IR in low/no light, and bi-directional communication. My voice on the other end was a bit digital or robotic but still very much recognizable which allows me to remotely soothe.
Where this deviates from a typical monitor are the added features. The monitor can pair with several more cameras. From the monitor, you can configure a host of smart capabilities. One can configure motion and sound alerts. There are also lullabies and white noise that the camera can play. Sadly, none of the built in ones quite work for us or match up with what we're already using and there's no way to upload your own.
There's also a timer feature on the monitor. It lets you specify an amount of time where after the normal auto "off" period, the monitor will turn back on. This can be useful when running on-battery with a child that sleeps well. Or for parents who themselves have trouble going to sleep with noise.
Smart and cool features aside, this does not actually do a good job of being a baby monitor. Image quality sucks even in low light and the sound from camera to monitor was just adequate. I don't know if it's the IR filter or something else but the images/video just doesn't come out well. While the name boasts long range, in my testing, I got the same range as a 5 yo monitor. So, the technology here isn't any better than "long range" monitors of the past.

This monitor has worked pretty well. The only thing I don't like about it is the temperature reading is usually way off. We previously used a different brand baby monitor and the temperature stayed pretty consistent. This panasonic seems all over the place when it comes to temp. We typically keep the baby room anywhere from 69-71 depending on the weather. This monitor always reads low. It usually reads 3 to 4 degrees below the temp. but sometimes as much as 10 degrees lower. If temp accuracy is important to you then you may want to try one of the 100 other monitors on the market.
This monitor does come with alerts for when the baby cries or when the baby moves. Pretty useful for younger babies, not really useful for toddlers like ours, so we leave it on all the time and hear everything.
There are only 2 zoom settings on this monitor as well, others have more. 6 volume settings, 5 brightness settings. The picture has decent clarity. It has a few other features as well like lullabies and what not. Nothing extravagant. Looks like this monitor lines up with all the other ones on the market for the most part.
It does reach much further than my previous cam, so that's a plus. I used to do things with my car while my kid napped but had to leave the monitor pretty far away. This one reaches all the way to the truck with no issues, which is nice.
I don't know if we'll keep the monitor or go back to the other one. The extra distance we get from this one is nice, but peace of mind of knowing he's not freezing or very hot is annoying. If you don't mind the weird temp issues, this is a good monitor.

The Panasonic - Long Range Video Baby Monitor is remarkable! Very easy to set up, and it is extremely easy to use. I love the camera, it provides exceptionally clear video on the supplied monitor so you know exactly what is happening at all times when you’re not in the room.
The handheld monitor is spectacular. It’s lightweight design makes it easy to carry, and it has an outstanding connection quality even at long ranges.
The infrared night vision is awesome too. Very clear when the lights are off so your baby can sleep peacefully. I like the lullaby feature, although I rarely use it.
I highly recommend the Panasonic Long Range Video Baby Monitor.

This is a definite game-changer for my daily chores. I can now watch my little one throughout the entire house and have peace of mind. The integrated temperature sensor lets me know the rooms comfort level. The mounting bracket makes for easy installation. There are also inputs to support up to 4 cameras. So the system is upgradeable. The monitor has very good battery life. So you don't have to charge that often. Do yourself a favor go check it out!

Checks all the boxes - Great Baby Monitor

Prior to getting this Panasonic baby monitor I'd used a couple different Motorola models for my first child. I also have nest indoor cameras that I considered repurposing as a baby monitor. I'm glad that I decided to go with the Panasonic it has many features that work really well.
The intelligent alarms work really well and can be used for general sounds, baby specific sounds or movement. I also like that not only does it have temperature alarm, but you can change the upper and lower limits based on your specific situation.
The video quality is nothing especially amazing, but its as good as the motorola models I've used, and the night mode on this is better, I would say its even better then the night mode on my nest cameras.
Range from camera to base station was great for anything that I needed to do and never dropped below 50% signal strength, even in locations where I have bad wifi or bluetooth signal (like the garage).

I occasionally keep my baby nephew and baby niece over at the house and I need a good monitor. This monitor has a great clarity, no drop and is very easy to hook up. I haven't been through all the features yet but there's more than enough to make you feel safe about your little ones. Be sure to pick this up if you're expecting, or you have precious cargo under your roof.

This thingvworks great. We have an old house with plaster and lath walls. Technology, especially wireless , does always perfom best here.
This plain works! The picture is crisp and now we can keep an eye on the baby, but not have to be in the room or close by.
Great for new parents

I love the ability to tilt and pan the camera. It allows me to keep an eye on the whole room with one camera. I also like that I can turn the songs and white noise on remotely so that I dont wake the baby by going into their room.

I would give this product 1 star if I could. We thought it was great at first then a month or so in the temperature was consistently going over the threshold no matter what you set it too. The baby monitor is barely a year old and it now turns off and shows a green or black screen. It randomly turns itself off or freezes. It is good for longer distances as long as there is no interferance but the other issues persistency get in the way. Also I purchased this in the US and they wont warranty it because I use it in Ontario which is a load of crap.
