Great Picture, Excellent Sound, Easy to use, Definitely would recommend.

I’ve been using a PS3 as a player, which works great till I started getting shocked by it. Decided I better stop using it. I would have gotten another PlayStation, but with the PS5 imminent, I wasn’t interested in the PS4. This player works great and automatically works with me Panasonic Plasma TV. The remote automatically controls the TV. Surprisingly since it is old. Very happy with my purchase and Best Buy delivered quickly. Good experience all around.

Player is super quiet for 4ks and Blu Ray. Blu Ray looks way good even on sdr mode. Hdr is good as well

I’ve always liked Panasonic from my VHS player to regular DVD machine. So, when I got an 8K TV I wanted to watch movies with a lot more detail and I have to say that this does exactly what I wanted. If you enjoy watching movies and want to take advantage of 4K this machine does exactly that. I am also using some cables that deliver a higher signal than just 4K which has made a big difference.

Got this as an audio transport for hi rez stereo blu rays and dvd's. This player is teeny tiny and weighs next to nothing. I put a small block of granite on top so it wouldnt blow away in the wind and really to deaden vibration. Has dual HDMI outs. One for audio only and the other can be programed for video only or both audio and video. On /off and open /close buttons are on top right of player. Thats a little unusual. No front panel display just a red dot. Cant comment on the picture quality but im sure it is good and perfectly acceptable for 99% of prospective buyers. I also own the Sony X800M which will also play SACD discs that the Pany will not. I use that machine as a video player and multi channel music player thru a Marantz AVR. Its sixty to seventy dollars more and is truly a Universal disc player.

I am very glad , & satisfied that I pulled the trigger on this 4K Blu-ray player , it really packs a punch , it's great for streaming Vudu , Netflix , & YouTube , plus the way it upscales a regular Blu-ray to 4K it does a great job , of course it's not a true 4K picture but it simulates it very well , I would definitely recommend this player to anyone , I liked it so much that I purchased a 2nd one for the Optoma 1080P projector , and it serves it well .

Fantastic 4K/3D player that does it all! All the important 4K HDR formats are covered (Dolby Vision, HDR, HLG), along with all the key 3D formats (side by side, top/bottom, frame packed), plus dual HDMI outputs (one for dedicated audio) makes this very diverse for a multitude of setups. This coincidentally also helps make this player more compatible for older TVs or AVRs that do not have eARC with high res audio passthrough. I’d especially recommend this unit for anyone with the 2016 LG OLED 4K 3D capable displays (G6P, E6P, C6P). 3D discs look stunning on my 65” G6P!

Bought this to go with my 4k TCL tv and it works Great, Worth the Money spent.

I bought this to upgrade and Oppo 103D blu ray player using a 1080P projector. Screen width is 15ft so any improvement would be quite noticeable. Backgrounds such as trees are clearer and there are fewer artifacts. A definite improvement as we wait for affordable 4K projectors. Also bought Rise of Skywalker in 4K which down sampled to 1080P seemed to retain better colors and resolution. Also almost no set up, player recognized the 1080P device.

Very pleased with both the 4k playback and Blu-ray upscaling from this player. Although you don't get Dolby Vision at this price point from the UB420, the upscaling and smooth playback more than makes up for it. My only minor complaint is that some of the menus are a bit confusing and I had issues getting it to output to optical audio, but figured it out in the end.

Great 4K player, easily replaced the Sony which kept freezing during play. Could not see spending extra $ for higher model when only difference is Dolby Vision and my TV doesn't have that. Seamless play back of 4K movies, way better than Blu Ray and ATMOS sound is fantastic!

Doesnt have all the bells and whistles but then again it doesnt need them. PLays 4K movies with great picture and sound. Its basic and does the job at an affordable price. I had no issues with skipping and the build seems solid. I read the reviews for LG and Sony players so decided to give Panasonic a try and am pleased so far

The system was fairly easy to set up and use right away. Even my wife, who is non-technical, quickly mastered using it. Searching for and using the built-in apps took a little while to figure out, but once I did, it was easy to use this feature. Using the built-in Panasonic web browser is very cumbersome and not worth the trouble to use. Overall, this is a good quality basic system with just enough extra features to make it enjoyable to use.

Don’t expect too much from this player. It’s not horrible, plays movies well and in great quality. However, it’s smart features could use a bit of work. Sometimes it’ll lag/drop WiFi when you click too fast while on Netflix or YouTube. It also sometimes plays those videos in lower quality (720p or 480p). But like I said this ONLY happens with the smart features. When watching regular DVD/Ultra & Blu-Ray movies, this thing works wonders.

This player is straightforward and seems well-made. I've had it about a month and have had no issues so far.

I had a sony blu ray player before this one that was glitching and freezing here and there. I bought this after many had recommended it online. When I first unboxed I was a little skeptical as the player is on the small side and quite light. But after hooking it up and playing with the settings, this thing is amazing! Rock solid performance and has never froze on me since setting it up. I hope to get many years of movies out of this!
