Great picture for the money! I got it for the parents. Doesn't have a lot of app choices but between smart TV's and Firesticks or Roku's I wouldn't worry about this. It doesn't have Dolby Vision, but we knew that when we bought it, plus I'm not a fan of HDR and I think when this technology is looked back upon, people will shake their head. Good looking picture for the money

I needed a replacement for my LG 3D player. It's fit the bill. Had to replace my Bose speakers too, as time has made them outdated. The Sony sound bar is better, but I sill miss the Bose. The Panasonic player does it all in fashion plus.

This model checked all the boxes for my application. Looking forward to breaking it in! Easy to connect, easy to use. If you dont need Dolby vision i dont see the need to drop $500 on a 4k player.

For the price this player performs fairly well... the HDR Optimizer is a must have feature but the build quality is terrible and controller is tiny and not backlit. This player is a bit flimsy and noisy for the price but performs well as a 4K player and can maximize HDR tone mapping. This player will not support audiophile formats such as DVD-A/SACD it may do Blu-Ray Audio.

The quality of 4K is very nice. The remote control is very bad. The conversion works fine.

I took advantage of a great sale price and got the player I wanted. It has all the features I need for a fair price. The build quality is good enough for what I want and need. Some prefer the higher level models for the feeling of a more robust case, but frankly - once I put this one in place, I won't touch it again except to dust it and around it.

The Panasonic DP-UB420-K is small and lightweight but brings a lot of features including 12-bit color priority and 4K chroma upscaling if you have a large blu-ray library. Network service include Prime Video in addition to Netflix and YouTube. There is a market for additional streaming services but selection is sparse. This player is a great value.

Allows me to play 4K and 2K video clips recorded by several types of action cameras by placing the clips on a thumb drive that can be inserted into the player. The unit upgrades 2560x1440 video to 4K during playback.

I purchased this to replace my recently broken Sony DVD player. I wish the controls on the front were a little easier to use like the Sony, but the remote works great and it displays a great picture. Also, it is heaver than the Sony and I sense the mechanicals are better build quality too.

It’s a very good disc player, especially for 4K. It’s not as a sturdy and lacks a few features of the 820, but the picture quality is excellent. Make sure to go to the internet to find the proper calibration, set up the player — then enjoy the UHD picture.

Cannot beat the performance on this thing. I bought both this and the 420 and 420 started stuttering and had white dots on the screen while playing a blue ray. This one was flawless. But get a high quality HDMI 2.1 supporting cable if you want to play the dolby vision stuff. The remote looks cheap but is usable.

Tried a less expensive Sony that would not play a complete dvd without freezing or crashing. Finally went with this unit. Zero issues with it playing our dvds and maybe it's in my head but the picture seems better than with our previously working player. The app sections seems ages old so it's easier to just use our Firestick for Netflix and Amazon Prime. So far happy with the player though.

I hated it when my old Sony quit working. I hoped that I could buy one just like it. I knew that the new ones were not as good. I did research and saw this Panasonic. I checked You Tube and other reviews. When it went on sale. I bought it. It puts my old Sony to shame. The picture is outstanding and regular dvds look amazing. This was the only dvd player that I would buy.

I love the Panasonic 4K Ultra Blu-Ray player. You can buy a cheaper DVD player but this device is the highest quality. Disks load so much faster than the cheap players; a disk isn't rejected because you placed it just a bit off-center. The video quality is outstanding and the audio is pure! Definitely worth the price. Tell Santa you want this!

Great DVD player. Easy to set up. I would recommend this to anyone.

Stacks up among the rest. Great for physical media which I prefer. Have not done much testing with streaming.
