Upgrade to 4K and this replaced my older Pioneer Blu-ray player. First thing I noticed is the small footprint, not necessarily a bad thing, but size difference is noticeable compared to other equipment on the shelf. After a lot of research, I decided on the Panasonic for the HDR optimizer and ability to turn HDR off. I have a 4K projector but HDR is always dark, so being able to adjust or turn off is definitly a good feature. This also has apps and I was really hoping that it could replace the need for a separate streamer, but that was not the case. Apps seem outdated and slow and are very limited in what's offered. A separate streamer such as an Apple TV 4K or Nvidia Shield TV is still a must if you use apps. Remote is ok, but would have been much better with a backlight. I keep hitting the Netflix button by accident.

This Panasonic has amazing video quality, far better than I had hoped for in a player at this price. This is my second Panasonic Blu Ray player and I would not hesitate to purchase another one. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Exceptional 4k and HDR performance at this price. This is true for both Ultra Bluray discs and streamed Apps such as Amazon Prime and Netflix. The physical/mechanical operation of loading and unloading discs is slow.

Excellent 4K Ultra Blu-ray. Great picture and great sound.

Just bought it a few weeks ago. Works well. Audio a big improvement over the Blu-ray player I was using.

As a player, it works wonderfully. As for streaming, it leaves much to be desired. The included browser isn't compatible with most streaming services/sites and cannot be updated.

Great Blu-Ray player. Easy to set up and operate. The menu system is also better than other player I have owned. When you have a blank screen a message pops up to tell you what is happening (like "loading disk") - great feature.

I had tried four 4K Blu-Ray players and this is the one that I decided was the best value for the money. I have not had any problems with this upscaling 4K Blu-Ray player and it gives a great picture, even more so on my new 4K TV.

Works great, easy set up I use this with steaming hooked up Roku together now only need one remote (roku)

Great player for the money. I been watching both 4K UHD and regular blu ray discs with no issues.

I've only used it a couple of times, but I haven't had issues yet. I played one 4K bluray and one regular bluray movie in it. Both loaded very quickly and started playing automatically. When we changed the TV's "source" to point at this bluray player, it turned on by itself, which is handy. This is one of the few bluray players to still have an optical audio out port, so if you have an older surround sound system that uses an optical connection, this will work.

This thing is amazing! Incredible picture and runs completely silent! I got this because I wanted a stand-alone player in addition to my Xbox Series X, and just couldn’t be more pleased, especially when playing movies with HDR-10+

The size on it is great, not take up a lot of space so it can fit right under your TV. Nice price for all it does with clear quality.

So far, I've listened to some CD's and they sound great. I haven't viewed a dvd yet, but it seems to be fine in all respects. Thank you.

Panasonic never disappoints. Their prices are lower but the quality is great, always. This blu-ray player works just the way it should and the picture quality lends itself well as a 4k.

Okay... I was skeptical of ultra hd 4k movies until i finally bought this item. I honestly didnt think it would be better than a normal blu ray player, but i was mistaken! Ultra hd 4k players and this one in particular have greatly impressed me and I will never go back to watching movies on anything else. The image clarity and vibrancy of colors cannot be overstated or expressed in a way that could make you understand how impressive it is. I truly believe this panasonic delivers a better cinema experience than I would get at an actual Movie theater. I highly recommend all movie lovers that have a 4k/8k tv buy this product and finally use your Hd tv's to the fullest!

Easy to hook up. Better quality picture than the Samsung it replaced. Bought it because I watch not only 4K, but also 3D, Blu-ray and DVD. Highly recommended, especially because 3D-capable players are hard to find at a reasonable price.
