    Paper Mario at its best

Looks amazing visually, remixed soundtrack is incredible, and has fantastic world building, amusing writing, really fun combat and some of the most memorable supporting characters in a Mario RPG. Lower framerate compared to the original game takes a moment to adjust to for super-fans of the original but nowhere near a deal-breaker for me. Highly recommended to any Mario fan or anyone looking for a fun RPG with a sense of humor and a lot of heart.

For those thinking this is just an updcaled outer polish of arguably the greatest Paper Mario ever made on the GameCube...you would only be half right. Nintendo has truly outdone themselves and taken something that was near perfect and improving in very small ways that fans will appreciate. I won't spoil anything but they definitely added a ton of new content and it's 100% worth a buy even if you've played and beaten the GameCube version. I love the graphics, the music changes, and the gameplay elements that have been upgraded for the modern era. Dont pass this amazing game up

I missed this one back on the GameCube. Glad to get another chance to go through it on a modern system. The remaster looks and plays great! Enjoying this much more than Origami King, and I actually like that game. I just think the battle system in Thousand Year Door is more streamlined and satisfying—more fun overall. The storyline is light and entertaining. Highly recommend if you’re into Mario and/or whimsical role playing games.

Dude this game is a masterpiece. Do yourself a favor and get it, if it ever goes even on a slight sale, you have no excuse...if someone gives it to you, you are an absolute fool if you pass it up. It's got humor, it's got great combat, great environments. It's one of the greatest RPGs of all time for me, not just the best Paper Mario.

This is one of my favorite games of all time, an enjoyable time for anyone of any age. If you have someone that loves RPGs, Mario, or just great games with a great story, I'd highly reccomend it. And this enhanced reamke of the Nintendo Gamecube original has a lot of improvements that make it look and sound even better than before, and to gameplay that makes it accessible to anyone. Also the staff that gave me the game were polite and had it ready as soon as it was available to release.

Fantastic remake of one of the best games on the GameCube. New music remixes, small additions to character models and script have made this game just as charming as the original game was. Absolutely worth the money in my opinion. Game does run at 30fps which I know is a deal breaker for some people but honestly it hasn't changed much and all the fuss over it hasn't dampened my enjoyment at all.

One of the greatest Nintendo RPG's ever made. This game represents some of the most creative and most MASTERFUL character and level design ever made. Music is top notch, as anyone who played the GameCube original can testify. Remixed tracks are excellent as well, and if you'd rather stick to the old OST, you can toggle it on as well! 10/10 game, can't recommend enough.

The definitive Paper Mario sequel remade

This is a MOSTLY faithful remake of the 2004 Nintendo Gamecube title that many fans of the Paper Mario franchise have held beloved. If you were around 20 years ago to play this title, you will enjoy this one. Changes include quality-of-life improvements that greatly reduce the amount of backtracking the original required, new sprites and animations (including being able to swing Mario's hammer facing north and south) and a remixed soundtrack (along with the option to use the original if you are a purist). The game has also had some changes to its writing although minor and due to all the graphical improvements this game is locked to a steady 30 FPS (if that bothers you or not is purely up to the player). Additional superbosses have been added for those who want an extra challenge. Players new to this game will find this title very charming and may be wrapped up in its lengthy story following 8 chapters. The battle system is very similar to the original Paper Mario (released in 2001 and is playable on the Wii Virtual Console and Nintendo Switch N64 Expansion Pass) with the addition of battle modifiers such as action commands and "Stylish" manuevers to quickly increase your Special Power meter. I think this title greatly holds up 2 decades since its original release. Definitely recommend.

I missed out on Paper Mario TTYD during the GameCube era, so I can't say of it got better or worse. What I can say, this is good old-fashined Paper Mario, a direct sequel to Paper Mario on N64, none of the usless bells and whistles or other BS seen in later games. The story is fun, combat is solid, characters are memorable. This is an excellent game for all ages.

This is easily the best Mario RPG ever made. The writing is as good (if not better) than any of its predecessors. The gameplay is fun. The paper mechanics do not feel overbearing like Sticker Star or Color Splash. This is a beautiful remake! The 30 fps does not affect the game play whatsoever. I hope future Paper Mario games go back to this kind of format.

Another great first title party Nintendo game that's well worth adding to the Switch library. Unlike the typical platformer Mario games though this does play in more of a RPG like genre but no worries as it's just as entertaining. Overall a game many Mario fans are sure to enjoy

This is the best game ever made. I played the GC version like 100 times and still don't get tired of it. The HD version really makes it magic compared to the old one. Best game ever...I lost like..hours of sleep having fun last night.

The definitive way to play one of the best Mario RPGs if not one of the best Mario games ever made. With a strong visual presentation despite running at 30fps. Accessible but challenging combat, Strong characters and story. This is a must for anyone who has any interest in Mario.

TTYD is my favourite gamecube game and after decades of less than stellar attempts at capturing the magic again with the sequels it seems Nintendo finally realized the solution: remake it. The game is all prettied up from the GCN version. The music is so nice and even lets you listen to the classic soundtrack if you want, and it got some nice quality of life updates. Travel between areas is much quicker now with some new shortcuts, your coin maximum is significantly higher now (9999 vs 999), there's a nice bonus of extra coins when you beat a boss. There's even some new secret bosses that really push your skill with the action commands and learning how to build your power with badge choices. If you never got to play TTYD on gamecube or just want a nostalgic run this is a fantastic remake and very much worth it. Hopefully it inspires Nintendo to bring back the classic formula instead of reinventing the wheel each time. Now, Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass when?

Great writing, engaging gameplay, the side quests are actually fun to do and the partner characters are don't bring down the good mood. Glad I was able to get this now when I couldn't years ago.
