Customers are saying

Customers admire the Cord ID Pro Cable Identifiers for their ease of use and effectiveness in organizing and identifying cables, frequently praising the color-coding feature. Many appreciate how the product improves cable management and enhances the overall appearance of their setups. However, some customers found the size of the identifiers to be too small and the labels difficult to insert and read.

I bought these to give some order to the spaghetti strands behind my tv. I have 4 HDMI ports, and two PlayStation cameras all on a tv stand that has the channel to hide the cables. When I replaced the tv I had to figure out what HDMI cable went to what, it was very aggravating. I bought these to bring order to the chaos of wires. All of the ports now have a different colored cap on both ends to make it easy to know what is what coming out of the opening, all the cables are thick monster cables and I had no problem getting them to fit.

These color-coded plastic cable identifiers (shells) are easy to install and beat attaching masking tape labels to the cables. However, the paper labels that are placed inside these shells are not easy to position correctly and are not easy to read through the walls of the plastic shells (especially the dark colored ones)..

Label all your cords as soon as you get new devices. Live and learn. In a busy 6-member family, I’ve wasted so many hours going through mystery cables and devices needing their cables. Cables are not as interchangeable as I once thought. When I started using a label maker to ID all the transformers, outlet adapters, and cables belonging to each device, the big box of mystery cables and accessories was resolved. However, making cord flags with label makers wasn’t perfect either. Lining up both halves to seal together over cables can be tricky. Font styles and sizes, and label lengths and widths somehow get mixed when using my handy label makers, and the rolls of labels are expensive. Wrapping up cords with a flag sticking off the side was messy. These snap-on cord labels are an improvement to my label maker. I use the color-coding behind TVs to match cords with their other end inserted into one of several devices on another shelf. It’s dark behind a big TV in a built-in cabinet. Matching colors is much easier than rotating the TV to read labels or the fine print stamped on the back of the TV. Rolling up cables with these snap-one’s is easy and stream-lined. None have fallen off, yet I can re-use them easily. I label my children’s electronic school supplies/headphones as well with these, avoiding confusion between children at home and at school. Yesterday, I temporarily labeled several “mystery” keys by snapping these onto longer bead-chain key rings, noting where the keys didn’t work to make future efforts to find the matching locks easier. These ID snap-on’s have made my life a little easier, and are cheaper than making flags with a label maker.

I have many cords plugged into my surge protector. I never knew which was which until I bought this product. Now I can identify every cord in seconds because they are all color-coded and labeled. This product is very useful and, best of all, inexpensive.

Really easy to put on, and works on all kinds of cord thickness. Only thing I would change would be the insert that you write what cord it is that goes on the inside of the tag is hard to read through the plastic. Would have put it on the outside or made it a sticker. Would buy again though!

With limited time to shop for cable labels, I purchased these. They are easy to use and look ok. I ended up putting them on thinner gauge cable so they slide around a bit. Colors are ok and they certainly do the job. PS there are 12 pieces designed to label each end of 6 cables...

I bought this to color code my aunt's TV cable mess. I like that there are different colors. The goal is to put one on each end of the cable, but I had more wires than expected, so I was only able to put them on one side of the cable. The instructions said that you could use labels from a label maker with them. Perhaps if you stuck the label to the outside of the identifier maybe, but I tried to put them inside and had a heck of time getting them to stay in. Oh well. It worked for the purpose and everything is all tidy now.

I have several electronics now that I charge - most every day and some not as often. I have them all together in a cabinet that I bought for my charging equipment. These made it really easy to quickly know which cable goes to what and the color coding is a nice feature. The one thing I didn't like as much is that it's a little hard to read the labels through the colors but not impossible. I guess just a darker pen would fix that!

I love them they make it so much easier to pull the right cord. Only 4 stars because I wish they were a little bigger for the power cords. But a great product none the less.

I bought this product because I was looking for something to organize my cables from my TV, cable box, computer etc so I did not have to trace them all the way back to the unit to see which ones I was unplugging. They open and close easily around the cords and you can place a label inside of them, plus they have different colors. A must have.

I am a fanatic about cord organization, so I thought these would be great for my OCD issue; however, they are HUGE! (Or, at least, they are for what I was going to use them for...) If you are using them on larger cables, then they will be great! But if you plan to use them for smaller cables (ie audio, most USB, etc), then these may be a little larger than what you would want. Either way, considering the sale price, it was a great buy! And yes, I would buy them again! I am just hoping they will fit the HDMI cables in the back of my 65" TV that is attached to my fireplace, because there is very little room to maneuver back there, and it would be extremely beneficial if I could label those cables!

This was a site purchase just because they were geeky looking and I truly do like the things as they make identifying cables so very easy. I will they were just a bit flatter for space concerns in the back of some systems

These are very helpful tools for identifying wires. I like the different colors and labels. These clip on tight and don't fall off. I love the colored stickers, too; it is an easy way for me to know exactly where the wire goes. I look at the wire with the blue plastic cover, and I then look for the input hole that has the blue sticker over it. Easy! Once you get this, you will wonder why you ever didn't have them! I loved them so much, I went back and bought more to give to family and friends!

I was not looking for them but when I saw them displayed at Best Buy liked the idea and bought them. Now the clutter of cables on the back of my TV and near my Projector are all color coded for easy and correct plugging/unplugging.

Not only are the plastic sleeves color coded, but there are little matching colored stickers to indicate where the cable is plugged in. All in all, a very useful and well thought out product.
