This movie isn't for everyone but what movie is? In my own opinion I loved this movie. Made me laughed 'til i almost cried. I love Seth Rogen, Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg. They all did a great job in the movie. I believe if you're non religious (like me. PS ironically im named Christian haha) you'll love this movie. If you are open minded religious you may like this movie. It may not have an Emmy winning plot, acting, or cinematography but thats not what it's for. It also may not have a great meaning behind it but it is a movie it is made to entertain some will be entertained some won't. I would recommend this to a friend cuz they have the same humor as me and most likely would enjoy it. As for the person disliking it for the "attack" on Christian belief, if it was any other religion im sure it would be a different review given. As for those who haven't seen it, it is against the hardcore Christian beliefs, where the Earth can only be 4000 years old and nothing else could have created it unless it be God.

If you enjoy their other movies and nerd reference you will love this movie. As for those that say it is christian bashing, it's all perspective. As a very devout christian i say that if your faith is shaken by this movie, then it wasn't strong to begin with. Paul has a great cast that delivers.

The two main characters are endearing nerds who learn to embrace themselves, and the wise-cracking alien is hilarious. The movie borrows lots of tag lines from other movies and the comedy and flow of the movie really work. There is a lot of swearing which didn't bother me but some people might think that that part of it is a little over the top. Overall though, really enjoyable and recommended!

I love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. I loved all their other films together and this one is no exception. I don't dig all those professional critic ratings. They judge films only by the film itself. Of course that is their job and what not but there is never really a mass judgement made by the people love the actors and what they do. Most people reviewing stuff these have no sense of humor. I recommend it to anybody who has a heard and a good pair of laughing lungs.

Reviewers who see this movie as science v. religion have it all wrong! Ruth's loss of faith is an unimportant part of the plot. The film is a very funny spoof of good guys trying to help an alien against the black-helicopter set. The movie is loaded with allusions to other sci-fi movies such as Close Encounters, E. T., Star Wars and many more. The best and truly great allusion comes near the end between The Big Guy and Tara.

Paul! Wow! When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I couldn't help but wonder what they were thinking. It looked like a ridiculous movie. But after seeing it, I can honestly say I laughed through virtually every scene. Beyond that, the movie really does have heart, which makes it all the better.

I'm a huge fan of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's first two buddy films, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. This movie doesn't quite rank as high as those two on my list, but it is still hilarious and the cast, for the most part, does a great job bringing the story along. Kristen Wiig's character seems to be pretty over the top as she develops, but aside from her unnecessary vulgar scenes, the movie is fun and enjoyable and I look forward to Pegg & Frost's next film.

If you are familiar with Simon Pegg movies then you are pretty much familiar with what you are going to get with this movie, that with just a twist of Seth Rogan and Kristen Wiig with just the right amount of si-fi added. The movie has a few slow parts but they are a few and far between and generally short. Lots of funny parts but it's fairly immature humor, i.e. f@rt jokes, m00ning people etc.

This movie is hilarious, thoughtful and even touching. It doesn't bash Christianity, it simply pokes fun at religion because...the star of it is an ALIEN. An alien voiced by Seth Rogan no less, so you can just imagine what you are getting into. You don't have to like the other Wright/Pegg movies to like this one, but it is definitely irreverent and raunchy at times. Surprisingly awesome!

You have to like Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz to enjoy this type of movie. I do like them both, so I thoroughly enjoy the actors being silly. The 2 main characters are trying to hide an alien from the government and along the way, they have crazy mishaps. It's good to watch when you need a laugh from your everyday ho-hum life...

I love all the actors in this film including the actor who voices the alien. I thought this film was gonna be an energetic nerdy straightforward comedy but it wasn't, it was more of a travel film drama with elements of basic comedy.

I just caught this on a Delta Flight and loved it. Surprisingly good cast based on the light subject. I have recommended to a number of people since seeing it and plan to add it to my collection. I give it a solid B+ just for the sheer nonsense and fun of it.

I seen this movie in theaters, twice. I really like a lot of Seth Rogans stuff, and this was no exception. Good all around movie, a little bad language, but nothing worse than in modern cartoons. I love this movie!

I enjoyed this movie a lot. It has great actors and made me laugh multiple times. Paul, who is played by Seth Rogen, is extremely funny and the play between the main characters is great.

i was surprised with thiis movie. it was better than i thought it would be. good clean vulgar fun. and of course the shaun of the dead guys are awsome. plot is easy to follow and the twists keep you guessing.

Paul is an excellent movie for any age to watch its a great family movie or a movie to watch on a date either way its funny and will have you laughing non stop!

A totally anti-intelligent design film. With the best british actors. At a reasonable price. Thanks for the price bestbuy.

I love this duo! I thought that the CG alien would throw me off a bit, but Seth Rogan does a good job of "humanizing" Paul. Great movie!

A hilarious film that is so unique and so much fun to watch the Blu-ray transfer is pristine...highly recommended
