This model was not one of the CR recommended desktops (none of them in stock), but it was a good buy. The Geekshop data transfer was not explained to me and required another trip with my computer to explain it. Still looking for some of my photos and no music transferred. Not a happy shopper!

If you aren't doing high end gaming or 1,000 things at once, this computer is a great choice. Plenty of memory. Runs smoothly. Great for working at home or bouncing around the internet.

We bought this computer for my father in law, who really just wanted something to run Quiken, get emails, surf the web, and play solitaire. This computer is perfect; inexpensive and easy to set up.

One reason for my purchase at Best Buy over another store was the Geek Squad installation. I had good experience with other purchases before and this time was another good experience. The installer was very knowledgeable and personable.

HP produces good computers. This one has everything we need to connect external devices. There is a a lot of storage and adequate memory. We are not gamers. This is perfect for us.

Everything has worked great except on occasion, it says my USB port isn't recognized (my mouse). I just restarted my computer and everything was fine. Excellent for the price!

The computer fits my needs very well. As I'm really only interested in e-mails, Facebook and Instagram it is a good buy for me. I also do a lot of ordering from the internet and that also fits my needs.

8GB of RAM gets you a quick responding computer, a much needed upgrade over the 2GB I had on my old computer. A good value at the price point.

I like the HP - Pavilion Desktop - AMD A10-Series even though I had not heard of the AMD A10 series. Good price for the memory and storage.

In the old days, 30 plus years ago, I owned my computer and my software, and could do what I wanted to with it. I could examine and change any part of it, and there was no one looking over my shoulder, recording every keystroke and preventing me from doing practically everything. Nowadays, the reverse is true. I can't do anything. Every new piece of hardware and software has one guiding principle: find out the features I like and use, and then eliminate them all in the new version. This computer would be really fast, but it is slowed down by the ads and popups, the sharing with the cloud, the copyright protection checking, and other unseen manipulations. It is adequate for checking my email and reading the mail and saving my photos. I would recommend this to a friend, but only because there is no alternative.

I don't use a computer to play games, but for my uses the HP Pavilion 570 Desktop computer with a 1 TB hard drive is a fantastic buy. It serves my e:mail, photography, and word processing needs perfectly. Since I am not interested in taking a computer with me, the desktop model meets my needs with the potential for later upgrades.

Ease of use makes the computer the best for me. I like the smaller size fits in our small space.
