Customers are saying

Customers commend the Deluxe Wired Controller for its affordability, durability, and extra programmable buttons. Many appreciate the long cord length and attractive color options, along with the benefit of not needing batteries. While some users noted the triggers could be improved and the controller is smaller than standard, the overall experience is positive for most.

Bought this controller about 2 weeks ago and liked everything I read about it. But after playing with it online I found that the audio sucked and the buttons were sticking causing me to think my game play was lacking. I'm bringing this controller back today to get a different kind.

This controller failed within a month. Do not buy it. Best Buy will not accept a return or exchange despite selling a clearly subpar product. It’s only been 24 days since I made this purchase and now I already have what is nothing more than a paperweight.

XBOX1 & WINDOWS... that is what the box says. Not XBOX1 & WINDOWS 10. But alas, this controller is also restricted to Windows 10. Now I have to waste time and gas returning this. Like many people, I don't do Windows 10

    Solved my problem

While waiting for Wreckfest to come out for the PS4, I couldn't wait forever and downloaded the PC game from Steam. So far, so good. Well, only able to control my car with arrow keys, the fun was lacking. I read that an X-box controller should work with a PC game with a Windows computer. Even Windows 7 like my ancient computer has. So off to Best Buy where I know there are gaming geeks who know their, uh, stuff. I told the first guy I found in the gaming section what my plight was. Oh yeah, here, this is the one for you. But I have Windows 7 and there's a reference to Windows 10 on the box. No worries, he says. This should be "Plug & Play". Ok, I grab the box (and tell him if it doesn't work I'll be back - looking for HIM). I opted for the red controller - because it looks cool. I get it home and find the controller to be fairly hefty. Not as hefty as my PS4 controller, but hefty nonetheless. The cord is thick and heavy. I'm thinking this will last forever, at least in MY house where no little kids are messing with my stuff. I plug it in and hear the familiar 'dim dum' that says the computer knows I plugged something in. BUT, it doesn't know what it is and it can't find any drivers for it. Of course, this is ancient Windows 7. So the prompt comes up saying Windows will search the web for the driver. But the omniscient Microsoft searcher finds nothing. What to do, what to do. I've got Wreckfest booted up and it has no clue the controller is there either. I went to the PDP website where I found the solution. There was a choice of two drivers to download. One for 64 bit, the other for 32 bit. I opted for the former. My lousy web access had me sitting for quite a while, but it turned out to be worth it. I loaded the driver software and VIOLA! It works, and works great. It scared me at first when I got the driver loaded because the controller started vibrating violently on my desk! This, after another Microsoft prompt saying there were no drivers available for this. Right . . . I think Wreckfest and I are going to have a long relationship.
