    These were a good idea, however functionality and switching joycons between the switch, and controller was a pain. I had to take them off to connect. They did protect against scratches, and came with joystick grip top with is ultimately the only thing I have left on.

    You're using the joy con's separately from the controller. The guards have a bump that won't allow them to slide into the controller. Meaning, you'll have to take it off each time, which will wear them out faster. Other than that, they're awesome guards to protect the joy con's
