I prefer this to shoulder/neck straps - I don't like a heavy camera & lens hanging off of me and bumping into stuff.

I love my black rapids but to secure they ho where this plate goes and to secure the camera while hiking is more important.

I like being able to scout potential photo spots while keeping my camera easily accessible. When I'm hiking or walking through the city I want to have the option to quickly use the camera without having to keep it in hand at all times. This allows me to operate exactly the way I want without having any fear of dropping the camera.
