I own a couple Peak Design products already. This is my third PD purchase. I've been coveting a PD backpack for a while. I already own a Nomatic 40L travel backpack that I do really like, so I decided to check this out for my camera gear. I am not a professional photographer but I do really enjoy the hobby and try to improve my workflow and functionality whenever I can. This bag is hands down the best bag I've put on my shoulders. Even fully loaded, it rests on my shoulders comfortably and with only the slightest of that pull-up on the back of the shirt. The side handles are just SO CLUTCH. Fully loaded, I do feel like I'm putting just a tad too much stress on them, but they still feel super solid. With the magnetic shoulders, this makes quick trips with the pack very easy. Build quality is phenomenal. I've told people, and I believe, that PD bags are (under normal use) indestructible. The weatherproofing of PD gear is serious and effective. The side access is, as marketed, the main feature of this bag. And it does work well. However, I think the zippers could have run a little further on the bottom to help the side flaps open more fully. On the other hand, the flap no fully opening (it has some clasp because of the design, does help prevent gear from spilling out. A slightly inconvenient way to solve this is to access the side flaps with the pack placed flat on the opposite side. But if you are using the side flaps while the bag is shouldered, then this isn't really a problem. I also recommend you decide which way you would un-shoulder the bag before you setup the organizing flaps. The included ones are adequate but at this price point, I think a couple additional options should be offered: something like single slot cubbies or small holsters that you can velcro in. Still, the organizers offer a lot of modular flexibility. I think they could have included another stretch pocket with magnetic clasp on the inside of the top flap, but that might also have interfered with the expansion capability. Yet, for so much other flexible and modular features, it seem odd this space is unused. Beyond that, the photos should speak for themselves. I have a gimbal, PD tech pouch filled with goodies, two cameras, an extra lens for the DSLR, batteries, chargers, et cetera, et cetera. There are still some empty pockets available for workflow and auxiliary items. Really, the biggest downside is that it is such a stylish bag, that it will really draw attention. Be vigilant and aware of your surroundings.

Incredible build quality, and comfortable while wearing it while traveling with all my gear inside. Not sure if it is "waterproof" but it definitely kept all my gear dry after getting caught in a downpour on Kaua'i. Comfortably holds my Macbook(charger&cables), 28-70mm, 100-500mm, 50mm, 15-35mm, Canon R6 body, 3 hard drives. even if you're not looking for a camera bag this is the best backpack around. Simple access to all compartments. I picked this bag up on a whim right when I saw it. I owned the V1 20L already, I've been wanting the v2 30L and I'm glad I got it. both sizes offer so much versatility. It feels comfortable and secure even on really steep hikes. See images.

Researched a number of brands, sizes and styles. It came down to the Peak Travel and Everyday. The Everyday having the camera dividers included was the deciding factor. It stores almost as much as the Travel, yet not as bulky and noticeable. The Everyday has exceeded my expectations.

Is one of the most sturdy, well padded and with plenty of room camera bags i have ever got, majority of my bags are leather ONA. But for travel this one is perfect. Has plenty of room, the quality of the materials are top notch, i higly recommend this bag. You can fit A LOT of gear.

This was one of those things that I was not sure I needed or should buy. I figured I’d give it a shot and it is such a high-quality bag that I would definitely recommend it to anyone. If you have any concerns, watch the YouTube video, it’s very informative. The extra added straps and expandable pockets with a small drainage in case it gets any water in there and the magnetic straps to carry the bag as well as having it positional was just a total plus. The three different shelves to put your printer camera whatever you want to put in there and your lenses it’s just , very handy. I was even able to put my purse in there amongst other things. I really do like that when you zip it, it actually keeps water out. There is no zipper. That’s going to get in the way and nothing’s going to seep through. great High-quality bag and I do recommend it. Use some of your rewards points to knock the price down a little bit, but it is really worth it. Oh yes, the extra added straps in the pockets were perfect for holding tripod

I’m extremely happy with this backpack. It’s comfortable to carry, has plenty of room for my gear, and keeps things accessible. I particularly like the dividers—they can be positioned just about anywhere, and they flip open at each end in a way that lets me create smaller sections while maintaining the full length. The external straps are another nice feature—they can be arranged in a variety of ways to carry various things (tripod, jacket, all sorts of stuff). The only downside is that the pack itself is not light, but I guess that’s the tradeoff—I don’t see how it could have the same padding and sturdy construction if it were lighter.

It was entirely worth it. Fits under airplane seats, has dividers for all my equipment, holds two laptops and a mini keyboard. Lots of magnets and small touches that really make it polished and useful. 10/10 would spend again.

I've been eyeing various backpacks for past few years. I was able to use rewards and birthday coupon to give me a tipping point. My dilemma became 20L vs 30L. I'm grateful for choosing 30L because it fits me great (shorter guy) but most importantly - it had enough room for my stuff inside. I use during work week to carry snacks, 26 oz Yeti Rambler (inside w flaps up), either 13" Macbook or my iPad, some papers and small stuff. I use every weekend to carry GoPro, tripod, and sometimes my DLSR camera w short lens. I love that it's versatile but professional looking without screaming photo backpack. Pricing is justified because of high quality material, zippers, connectors and design. There's cool magnets everywhere that help. Carry-on pass through design came in handy for my most recent flight. Just a well thought out product.

    Big Pack for Big Carry

This backpack was my workhorse. I was able to carry everything I needed and felt confident it was well-protected. The magnetic lock on top was actually really convenient as I had to stuff some stuff in the top without having to zip it back up. It's one of those things you don't know you need until you have. I was able to comfortably slide in my water and coffee bottles without having them look like they'd pop back out, which was a big plus for me. This alone makes the 30L > 20L, in my opinion. I really had to make sure not to carry too many items regularly if not needed because it was already so bulky and could get heavy real fast, meaning it was able to fit A LOT. The straps are not as thick as I'd have liked but you kinda forget about it after awhile (so maybe it was comfortable?). With that said, I regularly use my chest strap on other backpacks, and this clip wasn't the most convenient to do so. However, I never really felt like I needed it as my straps never really slid off my shoulders, even while hiking. All in all, a great backpack that can do it all. However, is very bulky and can get heavy fast. I'm not so sure it's good for everyday carry (due to size) but otherwise a really useful and stylish backpack.

This is a large bag but I wound up returning it as there is little room for modification. Unlike other bags you can't fully open the back and to layout the pack to its fullest capabilities. I wish this operated more like the Peter bag.

This backpack is a solid 10. I have had the same backpack since 2010 and was due for a replacement. Being I've had the same backpack since 2010, I'm fairly picky. I got this as a Christmas gift and, at first, I wasn't exactly sure how I was going to take advantage of the openness. I decided to go with some organizers and this backpack is flawless. It has build quality similar to what you'd expect out of a military issued backpack but features of the similar to NASA issued.

I travel a lot and cary a lot of tech. With the compartmentalized sections, I can really take advantage of each portion for whatever I need. Furthermore, I ride motorcycles a lot with this bag and the back support is sublime.

I initially bought this 30L than the 20L thinking that it would be good. It is a great bag indeed, but its size for my built is not proportion. I am 5’9 athletic build between 160-170lbs. I look like ninja turtle with the size of the bag so I went back to 20L.

I bought this bag because I had a Nomatic bag which did not fit all of my camera gear. This bag is wonderful. I can fit most of my gear in this. The only downside is sometimes the side zipper design can get a little cumbersome. Otherwise, I love this bag. Will be using for carrying of drone in the future as well.

As most probably know. This is the Everyday, and camera bag standard. Really can't do better. User configurable, and keeps me to a carryon for most, even out of country, trips. Not even that pricey for what you get, compared to other everyday packs.

Very few branches have this beautiful backpack, I had a hard time finding it and I found it. But it lacked some things like straps that had to be. You have to check well before buying.
