For many years I have carried my memory cards in my pockets. I know this is not the way to store them, but it’s usually what is most convenient and I’ve never found a suitable carrying case. The problem with just slipping memory cards in your pocket — aside from them getting disorganized — is that dirt, moisture and other factors could damage them. So, I’ve been searching for a carrying case that would not only protect the cards, but also be stylish and easy to slip into my camera bag or pocket. So, I turned to Pelican for my memory card storage needs. Fortunately, they have an amazing case called the Protector Memory Card Case. The Protector case is a classic Pelican case. It’s water resistant (IPx4). The body is made out of a tough Polycarbonate resin and is a hard shell. The latch is made with a hard ABS plastic and creates a very tight seal for the inside of the case. The interior liner is made out of Elastomer foam and it absorbs shock as well as keeps the memory cards locked safely in place and organized. The Protector case can hold up to 12 SD cards, 6 Mini SD cards, and 6 Micro SD cards. The foam is actually set in a way that the Micro and Mini SD cards lay beneath the full size SD cards. Two additional features of the case include a silicon rubber O-Ring and nickel-plated brass pins that hold the hinge together. The first thing to do with this case is to actually get it out of its packaging. It ships in plastic thermoformed packaging so you have to cut through it, which is a job on its own. The packaging was actually the only thing I didn’t like about the Protector case. Once you get through the packaging, the case opens at the latch, which is a very tight fit. The case opens and lays flat on a table so that you can view all the contents easily. Since the case comes preassembled and there isn’t any additional set-up aside from place the cards into their designated spots inside the foam, there aren’t any complicated instructions that accompany the case. The Protector Memory Card Case is really ideal for me. It keeps the cards safe and secure and they are easy to access inside this case. I also really love that the Protector is only the size of a smartphone. When I hold it up to an iPhone X, it’s just slightly smaller, but it’s about 2.5 times as thick. At this size, the case can easily slip into a pocket and still keep the cards dry and free from extraneous dirt. Another thing I really like about this case is that since the cards fit into the case tightly in place so that when you open the case, you don’t have to worry about them just falling out. The Protector case is a really nice product and something I feel that any photographer should have to keep their cards safe. With a company like Pelican you can rest easy knowing your gear will always be safe.

Plenty of space for SD cards, micro sd cards, and sd card adapters. Nicely sized and great for the cards for my camera.

This Pelican smart card case is just what the doctor ordered if I may say. Well made and no more worrying about my smart cards being lost or damaged. I also have several pelican gun cases. Buy this you won't regret it!

Solidly built and sealed, BUT cards won't stay in place in the case. Very infuriating. Photo is after closing and then opening the case without traveling beyond the kitchen table! I may as well carry them loose in an electrostatic bag.

I originally only purchased one of these but ultimately ended up buying another. I use them to store memory cards for my game cameras. I've got several devices that use both SD cards and micro cards. Rather than have a bunch of tiny micro sd cards rattle around whatever bag I'm carrying the device in, the Pelican case keeps them organized and protected AND all in one place. Now whether it's a video camera, drone, or digital recorder all my auxiliary cards are in one place and safe. The case itself is top notch and well built. There are 12 niches (six per side) that can hold either a mini or a standard SD card. The case also has a seal around the edge of the case that serves to make the case water resistant. There's also a lanyard loop at the top of the box that you can attach to.

Pelican is known for their durable products and this one is no exception. It is a nice compact hard case to keep your memory cards nice and safe. It is well built and the foam inside will keep your cards securely in place. The outer shell is water resistant and will keep the cards nice and dry. You won't go wrong with buying this SD and Mini SD card carry case.

I love this memory card case. Since I have several microSD cards along with their associated adapters this is a great way to keep them safe and organized. You can easily store 6 microSD, 6 miniSD, and 12 SD cards. Since I don't use miniSD cards I wish I could store additional microSD cards withouth having to keep them in the SD adapters. Otherwise this is a great case. Sturdy and water resistant. Definitely worth the buy.

This is a great case to hold SD and Micro SD cards while your traveling. Water tight and hard outer cover make this a good case to have for hiking or off the beaten path. Stores 12 cards

Pelican is the best brand for storage protective cases that are extremely durable and water resistant / proof (depending on models). This is a sleek and slim SD/micro card storage case that is overbuilt for the price you will pay. I appreciate the security of a compression snap clip and an o-ring gasket seal that this unit offers.

This is the perfect case to organize all of my card and card readers. Finally a quality product to protect my vacation memories.

I wanted a case to organize memory cards for a new camera. I have used Pelican cases in the past. They were strong, waterproof and dust proof. This case is all of those. It takes up very little space in your camera bag and fits in your back pocket when you leave the bag behind.

I have a couple drones that use micro-SD cards for their storage, and I like to have extra cards with me when I fly so I can swap out cards between flights. Rather than having a bunch of cards floating around in their little plastic cases, I can store up to 12 cards in this case, and yet it's small enough to fit into any gear bag. I also have a Canon DSLR that uses SD cards, and right now I'm sharing my one case for both platforms. I have no doubt I'm going to drive somewhere with either my drones or the camera, only to discover the card case is at home with whatever equipment I didn't bring along. Guess I'm going to have to buy a second case!

Got this as a safer way to store my SD cards for my Canon dslr. My old one was fabric and not good in the elements. This pelican case is great at keeping them safe at a great price.

I really love this case. It’s compact and durable. It hold different size memory cards and space for many cards all in one place. It protects them all from damage and is aligned to keep them neat and orderly.

I love this Pelican memory card case. It is the perfect size to throw in my bag to carry to photo shoots. It is very sturdy and conveniently holds the memory cards I need. I liked the price for this size also.

If you are looking for a hard case to store your sd cards in then this is the case for you. If you want smaller and more compact then possibly look into a cloth or vinyl folding sd card holder. I can throw this thing across a room and it's fine ...not that I tried it....Wink Wink. It's very tough and durable and hold at least 3 different kinds of sd cards. I put all my Sandisk Extreme pro SD cards in it for my photos and videos when I'm out shooting. I'm comfortable with it and I can rest easy know my memory cards are safe.

I'm a wedding photographer and I love this case for carrying carrying extra SD cards with me on days that I'm shooting. It's sturdy enough that I feel like I can toss it around but it's small enough to fit in a fanny pack or other small bag. Sometimes the card slots need "loosened" or the cards may fall out when you open it but after a few uses, the cards fit snuggly in the slots (hope that makes sense lol)
