I didn't have much expectations when I bought the movie for my kids and only because it was at a great sale price. Hindsight, I should have sprung for the 3D version for a few dollars more :( Movie blew my expectations out of the water and Graphics were great!! Great addition to the Madagascar collection. LOTS of humor for all ages (there's several that only adults would catch on to), and story line was entertaining, of course, it revolves around the penguins...of Madagascar. My boys (5 and 2) watches it over and over, and I have seen it more than once, which is saying alot. The 2 toys that came with this bundle were Cheap and the winding mechanism konked out after a few days with the boys, but they were just extras that didn't cost any more for the bundle..good freebies.

I bought this for my Granddaughter she was happy with it!

Good movie overall, fun to watch, the kids loved it

OK - When I hear "...Madagascar" I almost start to cry. I hate the song - I hate the weasel (or whatever he is), but I LOVE THE PENGUINS! Now, they have their own movie & guess what? They hate the song & the weasel, too! This is ONE FUNNY MOVIE!!! The lunch box is GREAT! The toys are - ehh... I got two sets (two toys/set) and one set worked and the other does not. Hey, they're free. If they work - give 'em to the kids; if not, target practice. Either way, GET THE MOVIE!!!

Overall this movie is certainly worth owning. The 3D was consistent throughout the film with plenty of "pop-out" effects to be enjoyed. The story was fun to watch, even for those who are familiar with Penguin series aired on Nickelodeon. We gave this movie only 4 stars because we felt the story could have been slightly better and was lacking a few additional 3D effects. As owners and raters of a fan-based 3D website, top103Dmovies.com, this movie didn't make our top 10 list but we still would recommend it as we fell it would still be watched again in the future.

These characters were always my favorites in the Madagascar movie! Their sad attempts at being an elite special forces unit has never ceased to leave me in stitches in the past. The movie did not fail either. A co-worker bought it (upon seeing my Madagascar Penguin plush on my desk) and said she loved it. I found it at Best Buy while perusing random DVD's and had to get it. It far exceeded my expectations! If you love the Madagascar Penguins, this movie is for you!

I will be honest. ..I have a soft spot in my heart for witty animals. The writers for this movie did a great job at mixing slapstick with dry wit so I couldn't help but purchase this DVD for my children at Christmas. My son loves penguins, so I say as a parent, choose something you can enjoy as well (if not simply tolerate). If you like the humor of Dory in Finding Nemo, then I think you would like this film too. .. even though it is not Disney.

I haven't seen the Movie, but my four year old did not like it. I have a 12yr old and a 14yr old son, they don't like it either.

it cute its fun is seems a tiny bit like the last despicable me but was still a lot of laughing going on. I haven't got a good laugh in a while and I really enjoyed this film. Especially those puns (Nicholas,"cage" them! , Drew, Barry, More power!).. Anyway, good moral, the story's pretty good..i think it just goes to say that the penguins can really stand on their own and not just extras for the other animals from Madagascar.. Sweet Shitake Mushrooms!

I didn't expect much from this spinoff from the Madagascar movies, but I was mistaken. This movie was funny. Not just for the kids, but for the adults too. They did one running gag where they just kept throwing out the names of famous people which served as a very polite inside joke for adults. I have no reservations recommending this sequel to the great Madagascar movies.

I have watched this movie 4 times in the past 2 days, and I still love penguins! Yes I have a little child that asks to see it again and again, but it is a fun movie, and I'm having alot of fun with the wind-up Skipper toy. So I recommend getting the set with the two wind-up toys, and settling in to your home theatre with the family. Life is good when you are all together.

Kids didn't stay as engaged as the Madagascar franchise movies. Snarky humor and characters are not as good.

The Penguins continue to bring good, lighthearted humor to the screen. In this movie we get to learn about their beginnings. Then as always, their adventure leads to laughs for the whole family. It is hard to find movies that are safe for children to view in this day and age but this one hits the mark. As a parent I love this movie, fantastic in every way!
