Customers often highlight the WorldCardColor Sheetfed Business Card Scanner's occasional inaccuracies in scanning certain card details. Some users reported challenges with numbers and addresses, particularly on damaged or unusually designed cards. The majority of cards, however, scanned successfully. Issues seemed to be linked to card condition and design elements rather than inherent scanner problems.

Nice scanner but does not scan cards with pictures

It has some nice features. When it does scan correctly it integrates with Microsoft Outlook and constant contact. Plain business cards scan nicely and some with a little graphics might scan ok. Some of the numbers are not read correctly and same with addresses. But if you watch it, you can make a change here and there to make corrections as you scan. I'm not sure if a more expensive scanner would do any better.

Scanner preforms as advertised. Use to scan salesmen's business contacts after sales call to enter into database. Some cards do not scan well but majority do.

Item was very easy to set up. At first the cards did not scan in the greatest conditions. I ran the calibration sheet through two more times and now the scan in great. Great machine for the price that does the job. I would recommend it to any one.

My friend recommended this unit to me and the unit is doing exactly what it is supposed to do: I scanned more than 100 business cards with no problems and little recognition errors. Most of the errors were due to destroyed cards or exaggerated logos with business name in them or shiny/dark cards.
The design is simple, compact, and functional. It includes a carrying case, usb extension, card cover, and calibration card. Nice flip up design to keep dust out of scanner.
The software is easy to navigate. Exporting to Excel and Text file flawless as well.
If you are looking for an efficient, affordable, high quality card reader....buy this.

Great for "Normal" cards

We use this for trade shows, if you have standard cards with normal looking fonts, this works extremely well as it scans fast and is quick to OCR the cards.
However, cards that try to get too fancy (and use unusual fonts) will NOT be recognized - and cards with company names that are embedded in logos will also not be recognized.
However, that is not because *this* particular scanner is unable to read it - pretty much ANY scanner/OCR program will not be able to read it.
So this scanner will fit your needs - don't let the fact that some cards aren't scanned make you think it is a scanner problem - it's a business card problem.
Lastly, make sure you place your cards lined up properly - if it scans crookedly, then it won't recognize the words. Again - not a scanner specific - this will happen with any scanner.

It's a heavy duty scanner. I used it for the last 7 months or so, and have scanned well over 1000 business scanners. This little guy just kept going.
I scan all the business cards into Outlook. It's super easy to use. I have recommended it to friends, no complaints yet.
