Love the art style from the menus to the character designs, the story is intriguing-n-excellent, the characters are fun-n-memorable and the soundtrack is surprisingly addictive to listen to.

When I heard about this game coming out, I originally thought it was a sequel to P5. After finding out it was a more updated version to the original, I was hesitant to buy this game as I figured it would be the same game. I had no other games to play besides Animal Crossing so I decided to buy P5 Royal since I love this iteration of the franchise. Honestly, the graphics and game are a bit improved from the original. There is a bit more story to the game and they finally got rid of the annoying “go to sleep” reminder from Morgana. Otherwise, it is basically P5 2.0. I enjoyed it especially with the new cast of characters and extra gameplay.

What I thought would be a few tacked on DLC elements turned out to be several hours of additional story and some much needed quality of life improvements to one of my favorite RPGS

I have amassed over 200+ hours between this and Persona 5 and there is no complaints. Amazing soundtrack (with added tracks), amazing aesthetics, amazing gameplay. Would recommend.

Having played the original game and loving it, this was a welcome improvement over what was already an amazing game. Nearly all of the systems have been tweaked and improved making gameplay even more impressive. The brand new story content does take a bit to really get to.Still this content introduces some amazing new characters and helps to balance out something that I thought was one of the weakest points of the base game. It's a long ride that has now become even longer, but it is a journey well worth experiencing again. If you missed out the original, you really don't want to miss out on this version of Persona 5.

Persona 5 Royal is a better version of the original game with tons of new additions. Very refreshing to play a second time.

One of the best video games I’ve ever played. Music is phenomenal along with long flushed out gameplay. Over 100+ hours of content to keep you busy.

If you skipped/missed out on the original Persona 5 you now have a second chance to play an even better version with small changes to make the experience so much better. However, if you're like me and played the original, the bulk of the new content is at the end. But the small changes added will make the experience of playing this 100+ JRPG again a little better. And as someone who loved the original game the first two times I played it to get the platinum trophy I didn't mind playing through an amazing game again just to get to the new content waiting at the end.

Amazing game if you like turn based RPGs. It has some pretty stylish graphics and a catchy soundtrack. It touches on some crazy topics which is awesome.

The praise for this game is certainly deserved. With the balance of a social sim juggling contacts and friendships paired with an engrossing turn-based RPG combat, it's easy to forget how long you've been playing and keep doing "just one more day" to see what happens. The ability to customize and optimize your persona's abilities adds great depth to your combat options, while the hyper stylized and interactive battle system keeps you engrossed for hours. Come for the flashy visuals and stellar soundtrack, stay for the endearing characters and touching stories.

If you haven't played the original Persona 5 and are interested, this is the version you want. Other than price (original P5 is probably cheaper in most places because it's been out a few years), Royal is the better game in every way. Added content and tons of small improvements means there's no real reason to play the original anymore when Royal exists. If you already have played P5 and are expecting a different game, you should probably pass. This is Persona 5 But Better, not Persona 6. But if you're fine revisiting an improved P5 this is a no-brainer.

If you are a fan of JRPG's you need to play this game! Story, music, characters, animation, voices, everything is wonderful about this game!

I loved the original persona 5 game, been wanting to replay it and Atlus comes out with the royal edition. Steelbook edition is beautifully done.

Great jrpg with great visual style and soundtrack. Interesting story, and it will last you quite a while to complete. Worth it, get it.

This disc hasn't left my PS4 since I put it in. I'm very glad I bought this instead of base P5

I’m a long-time Persona fan and the quality of life upgrades that the Persona remasters get are consistently awesome. There are so many much needed gameplay upgrades that vanilla P5 desperately needed, and the new social links are great. I played vanilla P5 3 times (total of 400ish hours) and P5R blows it out of the water. I’d recommend spending a little extra to get P5R over P5 to get the full experience, it’s well worth it. Great for Persona fans or JRPG enthusiasts looking to get into the Persona series.

It is hard to put into words how great this game is. For any person who loves a great story with a great soundtrack and battle system

Perfect remake of Persona 5. Love it. Plays just like the original with more story. One of our favorite games.

Persona 5 was already a fantastic game and Persona 5 Royal has everything the original has to offer and more. LOTS more. The already amazing soundtrack is here as well as a multitude of new fantastic tracks, Keep Your Faith and Take Over are some examples. On top of that, there are new, fantastically written characters with interesting story arcs, new areas to explore in the Metaverse, including a new dungeon, and more. If you're a fan of JRPGs, I can't recommend this game enough.

Hands down the best rpg game I have ever played. I love how much detail was put into the story and the combat.
