After beating the original Persona 5 I was hesitant to spend money on the same game again and play it for 100 hours again. However, this game addresses some of my complaints with the original and improves upon them and also adds a number of new things as well. At its core it is still Persona 5 but there's enough new content to warrant the purchase and time consumption of it again.

Persona 5 was already one of my favorite games of all time. Persona 5 Royal has completely blown it out of the water! There are tons of add ons that make the game fun and exciting, even for people who have already played P5. Highly recommend. 100 % So glad I got this during the quarantine.

Persona 5 royal is a pretty fun game, and I would say it is an improvement from the original game in my opinion and adds a lot to make the game better, so it doesn’t seem like playing the original P5 again. I enjoy this game a lot, and I find it pretty fun. If your a fan of Turn based RPG’s you’ll love this or if you just liked the original P5. I give this a 9/10

It's not the first time Persona makes a special edition of a Persona game, so that's sort of expected any time there is a Persona game published. Persona 5 is a the same game, but very much enhanced to the point where it's like a game and a half compared to the vanilla version of the game. Worth buying? Yep. I sold off my old copy and got this, no regrets.

They nailed it with this game I had the previous persona 5 game and feel in love with the whole series. I had to just get royal since my heart was aching for more lore and game play. If you love jrpgs I think this one is the best I ever played don't waste time and give it a try you won't be disappointed the story is great and puts you on the edge.

Persona 5 was an instant classic, but honestly I got frustrated with some of the little annoying things that just were more difficult then they should be. And Persona 5 Royal solves EVERY SINGLE ISSUE! It improves in so many little ways that add up to huge changes and I can easily recommend the game to anyone. One of the absolute best PS4 games

I took a chance and went into this game completely blind. Thank God I did, because this game is absolutely incredible! I just beat my first play through with 120hrs and I didn’t even unlock the 3rd semester. Please support this freaking achievement of a game. I literally cannot recommend this enough. (It’s also a perfect time sink for quarantine)

Very fun turn-based RPG with a great art style and good story.

Most of the time rereleases this close to the original are a waste but this version is the definitive version and it would be hard to go back to the vanilla version after playing. Adds more to an already very long game but with the quality of life changes, it’s worth it to add more fun stuff while having the tedious stuff toned down.

Completed the original Persona 5 and thoroughly enjoyed it, and when I discovered there would be a "golden" version of it (just like with Persona 4), I couldn't wait to play! Launch Edition was in a steelbook case, and with a new additional character in the fray made delving back into the game even more intriguing.

This game is fantastically addicting. Atlus does a great job with balancing. The game was highly reviewed but never sounded appealing to me. I am glad I decided to give it a try because this series is now one of my favorites of all time. Absolutely recommend this for people who enjoy challenging combat and an engaging storyline.

One of the best JRPG’s of all time. P5R improves on the original and adds content. One of the most visually striking games of the past decade. Incredible amounts of content, easily a 100+ game. Highly recommend!

As usual, Atlus releases a new version with updated content for their persona games. Following Persona 3 with PES for psp, Persona 4 with Persona 4 golden-vita, and persona 5 with now persona 5 royal. Its only a matter of time we get persona 6 with the same version 5 to 10 years from now. Their were two different collectors editions for persona 5 vanilla and this verison-take your heart edition and phantom thieves edition. Which are both expensive but also the launch editions as well. It has an additional character, different gameplay mechanics, more personas, and tons of more DLC that is ridiculous to purchase that is mostly cosmetics, soundtracks, and etc but at least if you own persona 5 vanilla you will get all the DLC for free if you get persona 5 royal digitally as well.

Never played any of the persona titles in the past but this one truly captured all of my attention. Definitely one of the best RPGS of all time. Although I wished the add ones were created into the original instead of this re-release, it’s still worth it.

An astounding version of the hit video game, Persona 5! I would definitely purchase this version of the game over the original, due to the amount of content that has been added.

Dual image steelbook of Joker and the cast plus a clear sleeve to display whichever side you like. Inside artstyle similar to the all-out attacks of the cast. Can't say much about the game since I haven't finished yet but 10+ hours in and still fun. Amazingly built up relationships and enjoyable gameplay has me hooked.

Before I could play the regular release of Persona 5 on PS3 or PS4 they release this with all the bells & whistles... Plus on top of buying this new release I was also given a $10 gift card so it’s like I got the game for $49.99... So if you on the fence because you played it on PS3 or PS4 you will not be let down...

I played the original too. While I can’t reccomend everyone who played the original to play this too just for the new content, I would suggest everyone spend the extra for this version over the original. I feel like everything it added was an improvement and the original was already an all-time favorite.
