My favorite J-RPG so far (alongside with persona 4)

Fantastic game. Will really TAKE OVER your life man.

I usually play action adventure role-playing games - like Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite and more recently the Hogwarts game. The closest I’ve come to getting into a JRPG is Pokémon but with the hype and its availability on Gamepass - I decided to give Persona 5 Royal a try… This game is addictive! It’s kind of story heavy at times but it’s got its hooks in me! The characters are really fun, well rounded and endearing. The gameplay loop varies from battling and collecting Personas (like the aforementioned Pokémon games) and managing a social life as a student. A frustrating part is that some days are “scripted” as the player advances the story but in all honesty it encourages me to get lots of stuff done in the “free time” available to me. The story is bonkers! It’s so much fun, it might have opened up the world of anime for me. I love Miyazaki films but never really gave anime a shot - P5R might be my gateway. The music is all bangers! Sometimes I’m just wandering around in real life with some of the everyday music just casually playing in the back of my mind. I purchased this game so in case it ever falls off Gamepass or I end my subscription I will have it! I really want to complete this game if nothing else - I love it!

I had heard of this series for years, but since it was never on a platform I use game on, I didn't try it out. Persona 5 is more than the sum of its parts, with the characters, music, and gameplay coming together to make a compelling game that's hard to put down. Highly recommended for people who like Japanese games.

A great game finally lands on the Xbox platform. I have long loved the mainline Shin Megami games and I have equally enjoyed the Persona line of games as well but sadly most of them have been limited to older consoles with little to no change. Thankfully Sega and Atlus have deemed it fit to spread the joy to additional platforms and along with expanded features and included DLC.

I play this on Xbox One and I love the game. I won't say too much but I love the add-ons compared to the old one.

Not for everyone, but if you like anime/Turn Based JRPGs/visual novels/dating sims/etc this is as close to a perfect game you'll ever find. 120+ hours. Wish it could never end.

Played this game on Game Pass, and thought it was so good that I HAD to buy it to own. Needless to say, it's one of the best RPGs that I have played. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to jump into the Persona franchise.

If you loved the previous version of Persona 5, you'll love Royal even a lot more. More game play features, more music, new dialogue with your confidants, new characters; just simply a whole lot of new fun. I've been playing this on Game Pass Ultimate on PC and it plays wondrously. Highly recommended.

I originally played this game on game pass, but it was so good that I had to buy physically. Highly recommend this game; it is a must play.
