Persona 1 & 2 were on PS1 Persona 3 & 4 were on PS2 Persona 5 finally has released at the END of PS3's life and well into PS4's This series doesn't just push out yearly after yearly entries. It takes its time in development and refines every aspect before release. No wonder it's the best entry yet. This series is known for its hours upon hours of gameplay for 100% completionists. You'll have content for months if not years. The world is gorgeous, it is oozing with style, and it doesn't change what has worked in the past. This sets the bar for new JRPGS and may be just what the series needed to finally break into mainstream gamers' eyes Persona combines dungeon crawling, sim romance, dialogue options, combinations, and a bunch of other facets of typical RPGs. It's one of a kind and it meshes it all together flawlessly

I greatly enjoyed the previous two Persona games in the series, but this one just entirely blows them out of the water with style. The story and the topics it tackles are much more mature than before, but there are still plenty of lighthearted and goofy moments to enjoy. Combat has been touched up a bit with a few additional welcome features, the dungeons actually have level designs to them this time rather than being randomized rooms and corridors, and everything is just gorgeous to look at. Even the menus are mesmerizing. For the record, as with Final Fantasy, the Persona games are not direct sequels to each other, so to anyone who is not familiar with the series, feel free to jump in right here! You will not regret it.

Perfect for SMT and Persona fans alike

Been a fan of the Persona series with Persona 4 Golden and have also expanded into Persona 3 and Shin Megami Tensei IV. The game's jazzy soundtrack is amazing. The game's comic/manga/graphic novel artstyle is amazing. Persona fans will love the return of the present day high school RPG with a fun cast of characters. Shin Megami Tensei fans, this game has a lot more action and is pretty brutal as you come to expect from SMT games. It's also a lot more darker than Persona 3 and 4. There is no longer shuffle time, Persona 5 returns to its SMT roots by interrogating shadows for momey, items, or to join you. This game is the #1 highest rated game for PS4 this year. And it deserves it.

1st off this game is AMAZING! The overall game is aesthetically pleasing and the gameplay has improved from the previous persona titles. The soundtrack to this game is astonishing! It fits the theme of this persona title perfectly, building up suspension at the perfect time and chill/relaxing when it needs to be. 2nd the items included with the game is spectacular whether you are a fan of the series or not its cool to look at the art book, Morgana plush, a Shujin academy bag and get an exclusive Justine and Caroline ost! The only thing that would make this better is getting the 20 year anniversary cd ost collection from the Japanese premium edition. Definitely a game worth checking out!!

Like it's predecessor persona 5 is a pretty amazing game, while it may not have as many fun side events it's overidden by how good the plot is, the excellent music, the nice touches of tokyo exploration and overall gameplay. The collector's edition box is pretty well made for the most part for how much I paid for it but it's not exactly perfect. The magnets are somehow pushing the box open instead of closed, morgana seems pretty small (maybe a bit cheaply made, and the art book felt a little lacking. Otherwise it's a pretty good set for what it's worth.

Bought this game for my boyfriend because it was the whole reason we got a PS4. It arrived on time and with everything it was supposed to have. He loved playing it especially since he had waited so long for it to come out. It was even interesting for me to watch while he took over the tv.

Fun Collectors Edition but only for fans

Being a huge Atlus fan I had to pick up the Collectors Edition for Persona 5 but it ends up disappointing. The exterior box is large but very cheaply made. The Art book, though full sized, has a small page count. The soundtrack is only a teaser of the full thing. The bag is very cheaply made also, it wouldn't last long under normal use. The Morgana plush is certainly nice though and the steelbook is great looking. Those are certainly not worth the price of the collectors edition though. The game is awesome and was certainly worth the long wait. Great characters with mature, modern theme's get you interested to see how the story unfolds.

The best TRUE RPG to come out in a long time

For those of us who have missed TRUE RPGs (role playing games) in the last few years, with Final Fantasy going in a more action oriented route and then everything from Dark Souls to The Division using the genre as a catch all, this game is a treat. This is a traditional JRPG through and through. Deep story. Character building. Hours upon hours of gameplay. This game is treat and a must buy for fans of the genre. The Take Your Heart Edition is extremely affordable and comes with nice bonuses that definitely justify the price. If you can get this version, especially at the Gamers Club Unlocked price, DO IT!!!!

I have been a long time fan of Atlus, Shin Megami Tensei, and particularly, the Persona series. This collectors set is fantastic and very affordable compared to what most limited sets cost. All the extras totally make it worth spending the extra $30. The game itself is a MASTERPIECE! Well worth the years wait since Persona 4!

The outer box is really nice to display in a collection. Additionally, the quality of the goods was really great for the price. Not to mention the game is really good. Overall, very solid purchase that you can't go wrong with.

Persona 5 is one of the greatest JRPGs ever created. It has everything you'd want in a JRPG from the engaging story, strong character interactions, soundtrack, and polished turn-based combat. The adventure you go through and the characters you interact with is an unforgettable experience. The Take Your Heart Edition is also worth the premium price for the quality of items it comes with. Recommended for any JRPG fan.

After waiting for so many years, Persona 5 is finally here to show developers how truly make an RPG. Long term fans of the series will notice the return of negotiation with shadows to unlock new Persona. Fans of 3 and 4, should be happy to know that social links are the Japanese school-life aspects are back as well. What's unique is the style and story of this game. You can easily spend around 100 hours and still would not see everything this game has to offer. A must buy for JRPG fans.

The Persona series is amazing and the fifth game of the series that combines super natural dungeon crawling with student life is the best one yet. If you love JRPGs then you need to buy this. The limited edition looks amazing, the box especially looks fantastic in my display cabinet. The steelbook is beautiful as well, the school bag is a bit small and cheaply made tho. It's a very affordable limited edition tho especially if you factor in the Gaming club discount.

You can go anywhere to see a review of Persona 5, which is a phenomenal game, but let me tell you about this specific version, the Collector's Edition. It comes in a tall, stylish box with gorgeous key art and a slipcase. Inside is the game in the nicest Steelbook case I've ever seen, a large art book, a sample soundtrack, a plush of the feline friend in the game, and a student handbag. Well worth the money, and I'm very happy.

This is a great game for those who love JRPGs and the Japanese culture in general. It's a game where your time is split between life as a "normal" high school student and a dungeon crawling adventurer. You will definitely get your bang for your buck as the story/gameplay can easily last 100+ hours in order to see everything. Definitely a recommendation if you've played Persona or other Atlus games in the past.

It's still a must. Absolutely stunning style and gameplay that will have you addicted. For newcomers be prepared to spend about 6-8 hours in the game before it even really starts. An RPG that feels as fresh as any other title released in recent memory Great story, characters, and combat. Be prepared to put aside any other games till you finish, don't let the anime style turn you off this game, it's amazing.

I was a late-comer to the Persona series, starting with Persona 4 Golden on the PS Vita. I immediately fell in love and began working my way back through the series finding a beautiful new addiction. The years of waiting for Persona 5 were excruciatingly long, but the wait has been validated with a game that just may be the best in the series. An authentic recreation of modern Japan blends seamlessly with lively high school anime tropes and an intriguing supernatural caper. The turn-based combat is fast and fluid with a well-paced difficulty curve, the characters are undeniably likable, but it's the life-sim elements of the game with which people will fall in love. There is a wealth of activities to find, unlock, and enjoy throughout your virtual stay in Tokyo, and doing them all is crucial to unraveling one of the most well-rounded casts in gaming. You can't have a review of P5 without talking about the game's style. Character Designer/Art Director Shigenori Soejima and Music Composer Shoji Meguro have created possibly the most effortlessly stylish game I have ever played. Every corner of the game--characters, costumes, environments, menus, and even loading screens--it's all artistically designed to perfection and accompanied by an impeccable funk/disco fusion soundtrack. I can't recommend this game enough to JRPG fans, fans of anime, and those who love Persona.
