Amazing game! Stylish, fun, engrossing. I've never beaten a persona game before but this may be the first one :) I'll probably even go back to playing the previous ones.

I bought this game for my son...and lost him to it! He loves the story...the gameplay. It sparks his imagination and gives him an outlet, or escape, from the mundane.

Another Amazing Game in the Persona Series

I was always into Japanese RPGs but got into the Persona series starting with Persona 4 and fell in love with the brand. I played Persona 4 Golden on the PS Vita and loved that as well and wasn't sure how Atlus would be able to follow-up from that, but I feel like they have one with P5. Even tho I am only 20 hours in, the game feels fresh and the animations, text, battle system and the overall is very enjoyable. You still have the Persona type dungeons and day + time schedule, but it's still very enjoyable and I feel safe to say a must have for Persona fans or Japanese RPG fans in general.

    TL:DR, Persona 5 is a masterpiece

For people who have played the previous persona games, this is a no brainer. Persona 5 does literally everything the previous games do, but better. For newcomers to the series, fear not! The persona series has nods to each game, but theyre each their own contained story. Youre not missing out by just jumping straight into 5, but you will be missing out if you skip this game. I Cant describe the events/gameplay without giving away too much. But both hardcore fans and newcomers to the RPG genre that iv personally talked to have loved this game. You wont regret this purchase.

If you are into JRPGs or RPGs in general I highly recommend that you give this game a shot. But be warned that it will be a huge time investment (75-85 hours to finish for the true ending). If you're looking to platinum this game you are probably looking at minimum 2 playthroughs (with following walkthroughs on both). If you have interest in playing P3 and P4 then I would recommend playing those before playing this game (stories are completely irrelevant) because it may be a little a hard to play with the older mechanics while playing those games after this one.

Persona 5 is one of the best sequels in a game series that has been released. The game is amazingly stylish, to the point that even the in-game menus look phenomenal. The use of the SMT series demon negotiation in this entry adds a deeper experience to the One More-weakness battle system. Despite the name change, Confidants are still Social Links, but having every single Confidant have abilities that you can learn makes it important to get them all. If you're looking to get a good bang for your buck, as well as an amazing JRPG, look no further than Persona 5.

Didn't think turn based rpgs can be this fun again. Very engaging story and great art style. Anime cutscenes and voice acting are a plus.

Many special editions are underwhelming, this one is not. Morgana plush is high quality, box is sturdy, game case is gorgeous, etc. Worth the extra money (and don't forget the actual game is good too)

Like Games that take over 60 hours to complete? Then Look no further. This game is about letting your RP as a Japanese High School kid who goes into another world to fight evil with Persona's (think Pokemon but less cute) Level up, characters and creatures as you find through level after level of enemies (after you finish you homework of course) During the Day study, hangout with friends go on dates to cool off from all that grinding to get to the next big boss in game.

This game is very story-heavy, so if you do not like to read a lot of text or you don't care all that much for character development, then this game might not be for you. There are turn-based, RPG elements as well. The combat is somewhat complex, but I don't believe it is anything too innovative. If you would like to wander the streets of Japan and get a feel for the daily life of a Japanese high school student, this will provide you with a glimpse.

Persona 5 is undoubtedly the most impressive entry both in the Persona series and including its parent series Shin Megami Tensei for a couple different reasons: - The technical aspect is leaps and bounds ahead of anything Atlus has ever done. The new 3D models resemble the ones in Catherine, while the games overall presentation (everything from shop menus to combat HUD) is about as stylish and intuitive as it gets. - Saying the combat system has received a significant overhaul, while completely true, seems like a vast understatement. Staples remain with a lot of new bells and whistles complimenting them. Also worth noting that guns are back baby! - Thematically Persona 5 tackles some rather complex and deep issues for a video game: Adolescent repression, political corruption, identity crisis. It being a game of Japanese origin makes it all the more interesting considering Japan specifically struggles with all these. - Finally we get to game design. Now I've played hundreds upon hundreds of games over the years and I can say with confidence Persona 5 is the best designed game I have ever played. Everything from the dungeons' construction to the pacing at which the story moves is utterly unique but, most importantly, it's fun. As for the contents of the CE itself, everything came as described. The Steelbook is gorgeous and looks great on display, and the CE case is of surprisingly high quality as well. It's firm and has a magnetic strap that keeps its contents secure. Overall, not the greatest CE I own, but far from the worst especially considering the price. How to some this all up? Whether you are a series newcomer or a veteran this is one purchase you will not regret.

Wow, I knew from playing Persona 4 what to expect, but I didn't expect everything to be so polished and clean. The art direction and colors are amazing, its like an anime from start to finish. Characters are great too, takes some time before they grow on you but it happens. Music and sounds are amazing and you will find yourself humming the tunes in your head. You can easily put over 100 hours into this game, this is a must buy for JRPG fans.

This game draws you in with its art, characters, and story. I honestly think I would have been happy with just a copy of the game, it's that good, but I'm glad I got the special edition. The art book is beautiful, the Morgana is a cute little plush, the steel case is fantastic, and seeing the protagonist run through daily life with the school bag makes me want to use it! All in all the special edition is one well worth the extra 20 bucks.
