Well done Philips, well done. I own a couple of other manual machines so I was really looking forward to having it all done for me for those early mornings.. Not to overlook the packaging, there were handles to assist lifting the machine out of the box, I appreciate I didn't have to go into full wrecking crew mode to extract the machine. Everything you need is in the box and the setup is easy with the HomeID App. Don't be distraught with the lack of a paper owner's manual, download the HomeID App. I am somewhat experienced with making coffee, but the app is wealth of information about how to customize your machine to your liking. It may take a few dozen brew trials to get it perfect. The Philips 4400 is an easy-to-use machine, love the profile options so once I get it dialed in all I have to do is push a button for my cappuccino and boom, it is ready. You can customize the grind size, grind amount, milk amount and total output. I actually liked experimenting with what I thought was my perfect cup of coffee. You can make several different types of drinks; I especially like the hot water and milk option for hot cocoa seeing how fall is right around the corner. Quality of manufacture seems to be on par with what I expect from Philips products. They have made this unit easy to clean, maintain and use. However, I wish the water reservoir had a level window you could see from the front. My machine is placed in a corner so I can't see the water level until I need to add, no big deal though. This will also tell you when you need to empty the catch tray, by way of a red pop-up button and the grind chamber by way of the LED readout. One other CON, that I really thought was going to be nice is the LatteGo. It does take away the manual foaming of milk, but it isn't really convenient after the fact to store any leftover milk. It barely sites upright in the fridge and does not have the ability to self-seal when detached from the machine. Not a big deal so the tradeoff is not having to froth the milk manually, but the cleanup and storage is a little more. The LatteGo works perfectly though. I like that the dispenser head is adjustable so I can use a larger mug when I want to. It is kind of tight getting the mug aligned with the LatteGo so the milk goes into the cup and doesn't spill over the side, but that is a one-time only mistake. I still can't fit my favorite travel mug under it though... For your basic coffee, unless you use espresso beans you will have to either use pre ground, yes there is an option for that or replace the beans in the grind hopper. I appreciate the grind hopper does appear to seal well so it will help to keep your beans fresh. In short, read the HomeID app recommendations and don't be afraid to experiment for your perfect cup of coffee.

Chose this model for the advanced display and the cleaning mode and the LatteGo frother. Everything about this machine is really designed well. emptying the grounds. the touchscreen. The LatteGo frother is so innovative it is easy to use all the time without being messy or annoying to clean. Had previously used Nespresso - this blows that out of the water - night and day difference. The coffee is better than starbucks and many other higher end coffee shops. The coffee the 4400 brews is so smooth and delicious - coffee from any of the chains tastes inferior. did a lot of research and everyone seemed happy with different brands around this price point. decided on the 4400 for the reasons above and have been very happy with this machine - no regrets. have had this machine for 7 months and consistently brews the best coffee. Purchased this as part of black friday sale and in my opinion it was an exceptional value at that price. I don't think I would have purchased at retail price.

I would absolutely recommend this machine if you are looking for an easy way to make coffee. I was looking for a machine that would allow me to have cappuccino and lattes without having to stay there and froth my milk. This machine allows me to push buttons and walk away. The biggest plus though with this machine is how it produces the coffee. The flavor you get from with the coffee is way better than any other machine I have ever used. As long as I am in town I refuse to go and buy coffee from any coffee shop. I prefer my coffee over any coffee shop coffee. Only issue I have with the machine is the price for a new holder for the milk. I would love to purchase a new holder that is specifically for milk and one is for alternative milks. $65 for a milk frother seems crazy.

Before this machine, I had a Smeg, but I wanted something that could make a cappuccino without much effort on my part—and I finally found it! I absolutely love this machine. It’s surprisingly quiet, even when grinding the coffee, very easy to clean, and the water tank is noticeably larger than the Smeg’s. A perfect upgrade!

I did a lot of research before making this purchase and I've had this for close to a year before writing this review. I am so glad I invested in this coffee machine. The only hassle is making sure I use beans that are not oily... I have found a brand I like and the coffee is amazing. I am using Counter Culture Fast Forward beans. Cleaning is easy enough and you just need to make sure you get some more silicone grease as what comes with the machines doesn't last long. You can order it on Amazon along with tools to help make applying it a bit easier.

Great coffee machine if you want to have a latte or something like that, and you don't have to do anything except put the milk in, and it's awesome, but it's expencive

I love the coffee maker, ever since i bought I don’t need to go buy expensive coffees at Starbucks. The quality of the coffees is very good and it is fully automatic!

I bought this machine as a present for my fiancé for Christmas. We were using a Keurig k pod system for years and wanted something to upgrade to. I will start by saying the look of this espresso machine is beautiful. No complaints on all the way it looks so sleek and modern and the touchscreen makes it even better. Love the design. When it comes to the espresso. I think it tastes fabulous. I am definitely not a coffee connoisseur so there might be espresso snobs that may say the opposite because they may be used to having a top-of-the-line cup of espresso, but I am very happy with the taste. Dislike- the size of the drinks, always have to do a double batch.

The coffee from this 4400 taste very nice. And easy to clean. The speed is fast. And there are many different option to do DIY. The only thing I don't know is how to get coffee from ground coffee. I know there is a place to put ground coffee in. But the default configuration is used coffee beans. Other things are pretty good. My wife and me like the coffee function, my kids like the milk foam function. everything good. Thanks.

could not believe this small machine will provide lot of choices. we drink different coffee in family, and this has all the combinations available. Easy to use, clean and maintain. consistency is very good. mill frothing actions is excellent. we used plant-based Soy milk, almond milk and coconut milk. everyone is giving excellent coffee

I absolutely love my Philips 4400! It’s like having a café right in my kitchen. This thing is great if you need convenience or need coffee as quick as possible. People that use Kcups this is a big upgrade. The foamer is the best part it worked really well. But if your into making really good espressos and quality drinks that take time this is not the machine. We had it for about 3 weeks and a couple of dinner parties and it did its job but not really impressively. For 1k it just had to impress It is a good machine for what it does.

I bought this Espresso machine after reading hundreds of reviews. All the reviews I've come across spoke highly of this unit, so I decided to give this unit a try. After using this particular espresso machine for over half a year, I can say that the reviews are pretty spot on. I've been using this unit every day since purchase.

That's a great coffee machine. It makes pretty good coffee compared to others. I've got a problem with machine after one year but service from Best buy solved it really fast. Can recommend it.
