    Backlight on the remote is good for night time viewing. Most of the time when i watch television the light is off. So if i can see the remote functions its easier for me than getting up to turn the lights on just to see the remote functions.

    It's only been 8 months ago that I purchased this remote, and it has stopped responding and the back-lit feature didn't work anymore. It could just be this one remote that's malfunctioned and other than having to buy a new one, it's been great remote to have.

    Easy setup. I have a samsung TV and it worked right out of the box. Also worked with my Roku ultra right out of the box. Programing was easy for my other devices too.

    This works great for my LG TV, Spectrum Cable, Samsung Soundbar, and LG 4K disc player. I don't think it offers all the options associated with my soundbar system, but it works all the basic functions easily.

    Needed a remote for my parents' DVD player. Worked well. I like it was a color that was different from the other ones at the house so it was easy to find. Hint: for a reasonably newer device, use the *last* code for that vendor.
