    This purchase was worth the money. I got this so I could crank some music for parties, projects and whenever I wanted to hear some music no matter where I walked in my house. It has bass and treble control to help you listen to your music they way you want to.

    I like the speaker. The lighting is cool. The handle and wheels are convenient. My only issue is that the volume is really low in my opinion. I have a JBL Pulse 4, which is significantly smaller than this Philips speaker, yet my JBL at 50% volume is louder than the Philips speaker at max volume. I got mine on sale for $150. But I wouldnt buy it at full price due to volume.

    This thing is loud... but onlynif its plug in. When you unplug is the volue drops sognificanlty.

    Good speaker, pretty loud when the power cord is connected but it does lower the volume when it is unplugged. For the price this speaker is great. The JBL party is better but costly. So I love this one.

    I did not open the box so cannot comment on the quality of the item. Bought it as a gift but had to return because was considered too big and does not connect to wifi (so cannot use with other wifi speakers)

    Excellent portable speaker i honestly did not think it was going to sound so well, battery has lasted just about a good 6 hours full blast with the lights on.

    The philips portable speaker is very nice. The sound is fine. It can get quite loud. The controls - bass, treble, echo are fine. This unit has push buttons for volume control - I'd prefer a rotary knob for volume instead. Mic and Guitar inputs work fine. The karaoke feature to "fade voice" is cool. However, it reduces the vocal range by about 1/2.
