Absolutely wonderful to use. Great machine and easy to use

Great coffee machine! The convenience is the first benefit. Easy to use, easy to clean. The coffee volume is also customizable. We can have a cup of Americano in seconds. We have used it for a month, every time it gives us the same smooth cups. Very satisfied. Plus its small size and elegent design, highly recommend.

It was a nice step up from our Nespresso Vertuo. We received a unit that had a technical issue. It wouldn't create the shot once in a while after the portafilter was already filled with grounds. We found a workaround, pushing the portafilter back into register a few millimeters when it got hung up got it running every time. The espresso was good, better than our Nespresso could make, although as several reviewers have commented, it was a bit more watery than we'd hoped. We returned it.

I have owned several fully automatic espresso machines, most of which had a milk frother. We are trying to drink black coffee. The beauty of this machine is its simplicity. It grinds the beans and fills the portafilter. Clean up is simple as you only have to rinse the portafilter and wipe the areas where the portafilter fills and dispenses (a small amount of grounds stay in each spot). It is a pleasure not having to remove, clean and lubricate brew groups like I had to with my previous machines. The lungo shots are strong enough for us. I would buy again.

This is amazingly simple. Makes great espresso, much better than the nespresso capsule machine that we had. I will say I got it for $100 off on a prime day sale (Best Buy had same price), I would not have paid full retail at the time. I might now.

I was skeptical to use this product at first because I’m used to k pod machines. This espresso machine has made it easier to get my quick fix of caffeine in and has saved me a bunch of money. Make sure you invest in high-quality espresso beans since normal coffee beans won’t give the same effect.

I just pick up this machine yesterday and im not really understanding all the hoop and hollering about it. I was not blown away and i wanted to be. I was so excited for this machine. — theres no way to really adjust anything on this machine, you litterally get 3 buttons on it. The first run i did on the machine the coffee was literally water. I pulled the portafilter out and there was almost nothing in there. I did a second run and it was a little darker but not by much. pulled the portafilter out there was barley any coffee in it and it was super runny. I did a third and fourth run and it was darker but not much foam at all. The portafilter the coffee grounds were super runny. At this point i didnt want to do a fifth run b/c at that point i was just wasting coffee beans. I threw out the first and second run and tried the third and fourth run and i couldnt tell if the beans i got were not all that great or if the water was too hot brewing. I gave it a night and tried the machine the next morning. Ran 2 strong espressos, the espresso was dark with very little foam the portafilter the first batch that was ran the coffee grounds were dryer bu the 2nd time around super runny. When i put together my coffee the taste was not great and to top it off there was a bunch of coffee grounds in my iced coffee. Literally threw it out wasted more coffee beans milk and creamer. Went back to my Nescafé espresso powder for this mornings coffee. Im not sure if im doing something wrong but doubt it because everything is self explanatory and not much else to do other then pressing literally 3 buttons. Im going to give it a go with dome different coffee beans to see if thats the issue, if not ill be returning this machine and getting a real espresso machine.

The Philips Baristina Automatic Espresso Machine is amazing! It makes the fastest cup of espresso we’ve ever seen. The quality is first rate and the ability to adjust the water volume to create an Americano when desired or to boost the amount of flavor is extremely helpful.

Have owned it for over a year, and whatever is going on with it, I’m pretty sure it’s the hopper /grinder. It needs to be cleaned out, but it is not easy to clean out. The Porter filter will fill up with water when trying to make a shot and it’s just sitting there overflowed and just dripping after the shot is complete. It tastes still good. Everything‘s good there, but it is annoying because once it is done it’s still drips all over. I’m pretty sure it’s the grinder that needs to help be clean so that way you can grind a better shot and so that way it is more refined and not clumpy. If it’s the porter filter, there is no way to get a new one. I have searched and searched. I would highly recommend a more expensive machine that has a little bit more to it so that way you have the ability to have options for cleaning. Don’t be cheap. Get a more expensive model. They are worth it.

This espresso machine has been great so far! It does everything (besides milk steaming/frothing), and is pretty automatic. I bought it for my mom who likes espresso drinks, but isn't that savvy about making them, and doesn't want a machine with too much room for error/skill involved.

I really like the automatic features gets me out of buying a K cup machine or the Nespresso cus machine. I only wish that it had another way of adding extra water so you can have a larger coffee. Like a pour over. No complaints other than it is a bit loud when it makes the water.
