Purchase these lights and the sync box. I have a similar setup with another company and this one looks a lot smoother. It also supports 4k and has multiple hdmi port's to add other stuff. If you have any other hue lights this is a great addition you have the ability to sync everything together. The reason why im giving it 4 star's is because with the price you paid for these lights they could have covered the entire tv and not just the sides and top. Its also not that easy to install if your TV is already mounted on the wall. I really wish they would cover the bottom of the tv

it open up a whole new level of immersion. Even if your are not using a sync box you can set it to soft or natural white light in the background when watching movies. it reduce eye stain and make movie watching more fun. build quality is solid. I been using it for almost 7 months without any issues. the app is very responsive and you almost have unlimited choices of colors. even if your are not watching TV, you can turn the light on with your computer app and sync it to the music. the light change and response to every beat of the music and creates a very enjoyable atmosphere. when ever I have friends over they all love the lights.

Keep it simple.
Is this product expensive? Absolutely.
Does this product work? Absolutely.
Is it worth YOUR money? Only you can answer that.
But as far as rating this product based off what it’s supposed to do, it’s 5 star minimal. I’d give it 10 stars if there was an option.

Let's start with the obvious: This thing is expensive. Is it worth the price though? That's really up to you. If you are going to sync this with your computer or your TV (using the Sync box, which is sold separately), then I would say it absolutely is. I've watched a few movies with the lights synced and it definitely makes them feel more dynamic. Some people will say it's distracting, but if you won't pick the most extreme settings then it's generally nice and subtle.

I am using these as lumination under my couch and loveseat and the ambiance it brings to the atmosphere is amazing. The only thing that I would wish for is that I wished the design of the lights would bend better for a better fit under the couch. Outside of that they provide incredible movie magic to my living room increasing the experience to elevated levels that I was not expecting. The different levels of lighting and the seemingly endless color combinations is outstanding. I Love It!

It’s very nicely package when you receive it very easy to set up. Although the strips for the size of the tv isn’t much. I put the 75inch light strip on my 75 inch tv and it only managed to cover half my tv, mostly the top and a bit on the sides. I did expect it to go all the way around but it doesn’t cover the bottom. I also think for the price I wish I would have waited only because they are coming out with many more affordable fairly priced light strips that do the same and sync to the tv color imagines. Other then that for the most part they work very nicely with an exception of adding more lights towards the bottom.

Love this so far! Beautiful colors and very easy to use. Love my hue! I got it on sale so the price didn’t hurt as bad on this one.

Love it. You don’t need a Sync Box if you have certain newer model TVs like Samsung bc there is a sync app that you can purchase directly on the TV. Works perfectly with gaming consoles and streaming apps on the TV as well.

Looks cool - adds immersion. Awesome in games as well as movies. Fairly straightforward to setup. I wish power cable was longer

This fits so well around my LG OLED. Super easy to install, I recommend getting some alcohol pads to clean off the area on the back of the TV that the mounts will attach to since it tends to get dusty back there. But the color matching is great, and it’s a lot of fun to use especially if you have an existing Hue setup. This is definitely become an integral part of my entertainment center for my family.
Yeah, definitely a little pricey especially when you’re having to purchase the Sync Box as well. But well worth it in the right environment.

The finishing touch to a great movie experience. Paired with the Hue Hub, Hue Sync Box & 3 Hue Play Bars it’s definitely on the expensive $$ side but after paying a few thousand for my LG C1 77Oled .. why not. My only complaint is that it doesn’t cover the bottom of the TV, so you have to buy the Hue play bars to to fill in the bottom. At least 3 Hue Play Bars for a 77” but 4 can fit. Other than that my movies and games are more immersive.

This light strip is a uniform array of lights put onto a flexible rubber casing that allows for ease of installation and seamless light. The instructions you follow on the Hue App help with installation and give handy tips. The connection between the light strip and its local receiver/power connection could be better, but with all the 3M sticking/tacking required this shouldn't be an issue if it is all installed properly.

I previously had multiple Hue Play Bars mounted behind my tv with the Hue sync box, and while it worked well, replacing those with the Gradient Lightstrip was definitely an improvement. Installation was quick and easy (I didn't even have to unmount my television from the wall). I'm very happy with this

Works as expected; easy to set up and use. I was a bit worried using these on a curved TV, but it might actually work a bit better by projecting the side light out further. We enjoy the added inversion - now it's weird when our TV isn't backlit.
Only issue so far is that the stickers on the mounting brackets don't like our TV's ribbed back surface; but that's hardly the fault of the product. Some 3M double-sided mounting tape is a simple remedy.

These lights are so awesome I actually upgraded my philips hue light bars to this one and asked family and friends if they could tell a difference with the bars vs the lights strip, They chose the light strip every time with out knowing which was wich. With that being said i really love them and if you have the extra cash why not buy these upgraded ones but if your on a budget then the light bars are definitely your best bet.

My wife wanted this and I was on the fence about it. I was wrong. This makes the new TV so much cooler, it adds to the immersion sensation when watching shows and movies. Plus it gets you in to the Philips Hue ecosystem which is pretty neat. Takes some setup to get it configured, but after it is set it works flawlessly, so cool. If you want to up your home theater game, get it.

Let me start out by saying that having all these Hue lighting syncing to my tv sound like a cool idea but thats all it is, a cool idea. This light strip works and syncs very well. You must have the sync box in order to get the colorful effect. This strip can be used without the sync box but you can not the rainbow color effect, it will only be whatever one color at one time. The downside is that there was a price increase after it was sold out for weeks if not months.

Works very well with my Hue Sync Box and a couple Hue Play lights setup with the Hue Sync Box as well. I do wish the Hue Gradient was a bit more bright though. Also didn’t think about it when purchasing it, but the way it is designed, it doesn’t provide any backlighting on the bottom of the TV, which would be fine if it were on a stand, however, I have my TV wall mounted. I’ll probably just pickup another Hue Play light to shine under my TV to get the absolute full effect.
