Setup was quick and easy. Enabled the Alexa skill and can now control the bulbs using an Echo. I setup a routine to gradually turn on the bulbs in the morning.

I really like the lights, unfortunately, I didn't get the colored lights. I like the dimming ability, but I have not been able to get them to work unless I was at home and my wifi was connected. They are extremely expensive and I am not sure they are worth the money.

I purchased the starter kit, along with the goggle home mini. I truly enjoy this product. Easy to set up, I put the light bulbs in places that i sometimes forget to turn off the light. I synced the goggle mini, when i get home i say"hey goggle turn on the basement light.ect.bedroom. i can also dim any light....and use them for nightlight. Wonderful money saving energy device, the bulbs last 22 years . these are so great for persons with mobility issues or sickness. They are also great for persons that have children that leave lights on. I would invest and have fun.

I can turn it on from my Alexa in my house I can turn it on from my phone when I’m in the car backing in the driveway so that if the house is lit when I come inside I can turn my other lights on in the house before even get home, I can turn them on and off from all over . My lightbulb in the kitchen it only turns on when I come in the driveway and I think that’s because it’s on a special switch. One of my lightbulbs is on my night stand light and I don’t have to fumble to get the switch anymore I can just talk to it With Alexa, We are really pleased.

I was looking for an automatic light system that I could control remotely from my mobile device. I am gone for a few days at a time for work & I'd had some issues with someone coming into my apartment while I was out of town. Presumably, someone who was around enough to notice I was gone & someone with key access- as no locks were ever tampered with. Anyway, I got everything I wanted in this device. Set up couldn't have been easier. I paired my Hue Bridge with my Echo Dot & the rest is history. The only flaw in the system is that occasionally, my front door light says 'unreachable' & will not work without me deleting the light in my app then re-adding it manually. I have to assume that it is like this because I had to change the adapter at the light because it didn't have the typical female light bulb adapter. This was easily done & no problems were had for a week or so before it started claiming 'unreachable'. It's only happened twice since I purchased my Hue, which is going on at least one month now. Ease of use from my mobile device when I'm out of town. Easy to set up on & off timers, along with dimmers. I have no complaints with the exception of the front door light, which as I said could be from user error in that I had to change the lights receiving adapter.

My fear when purchasing this item mostly revolved around the fact that there was one hub, but multiple bulbs. I was scared that once I placed the bulbs, where I wanted them, then connected the hub to them, and finally connecting to Alexa, that one command for one light would control them all. Yet, my fears were calm after insulation and giving Alexa my first command to turn on one light in a particular room. That light only came on!!!! I give Alexa a command to activate one light as if I installed a switch (meaning insulation was a breeze). This product has been working great, with no problems, since Set-Up and I could not be more happy. I thought I would try this because it seem it might be easier then installing switches or plug-ins. I already have multiple wireless switches and multiple wireless plug-ins installed and connected to Alexa. I'm only stating this for those who might question if any issue's might come up if they already have wireless items in their home. I have not had any issue's with having multiple, different wireless items and yes, they are all connected to Alexa. The only down side I've learned so far, is at bedtime I must tell Alexa to cut off multiple lights, one at a time lol.

Once unpacked, I had the the app downloaded and the lights setup in less than six minutes. I use Google home to control by voice and the app to control the lights. I like the ability to dim to any ℅. For example I can either tell Google to set the lights to 5℅ or use the app to put to any ℅. I can even control them remotely from anywhere with my cellphone.

I am so glad that I made this purchase. Our family is behind the curve on smart home lights and sound. We failed to get in on the good deals around Black Friday, but when I saw that this starter kit came with a free Echo Dot (as I said, we’re behind) I took a chance. I’m glad that I did. My wife hates getting out of bed to turn off the lights when she’s done reading. Problem solved. We don’t always want the full amount of light that our floor lamps put out, and now we can dim them. Setup was super easy. Plug everything in. Install the app. Let the bridge update. Start playing around. It really was that easy. We will not upgrade every single bulb in our house; some lights just need to be turned on when you enter the room. Flick the switch. Move on. But knowing that we can put certain lights on timers, create a mood, or change the color (the bulbs in this kit don’t change colors) or brightness of a room is pretty awesome. I’ll definitely keep the Philips Hue bulbs on my radar for future purchases.

Several months ago I purchased the Philips Hue Wireless Starter Kit. The starter kit is easy to set-up and has worked for several months without a single problem. The wireless starter kit does require a connection to your wireless router and an electrical outlet. One benefit of the Phillips Hue Wireless Starter Kit is it's ability to link multiple lights up to the same system which is easily controlled from your wireless device. I would highly recommend this product.

I love the addressable bulbs. I love all the things I can do with the Hue app to turn the lights down for a movie without getting up and untangling from my laptop and phone charger and other stuff. BUT, the very best is the wall switch. Kinetic only, no batteries, no wiring, no one in my house can shut off my light switches making them unaddressable. Even the 3 year old knows to use the WIFI switch. No phone required. just pat the switch on the way by!!! AWESOME. Will be buying one for EVERY ROOM!!!

A must for busy schedules. Instant light through Alexa. We are always out at night for kid's games and or events so to be able to control lights when not at home is a must. No more do the dogs have to sit in the dark while we are not at home. I simply go to the Hue App on my phone and turn on and or turn lights off from wherever we may be at the time. When at home, I also ask Alexa to turn on a light and instant light. Simple set up is key!

The actual bulbs are great when used as normal bulbs. Even more, when the app works and I can turn them on and off with my phone... Amazing. However, one of the additional bulbs I got constantly tells me that the connection is bad and there hasn't been a fix. also, I've been trying to use it with my nest camera and the app was constantly giving me errors. this is a great product that seems too early in its lifecycle and therefore has a lot of bugs.

This starter kit is awesome! I was hesitant at first and was torn between this and the more expensive ambient starter kit. For half the price I figured I would go with this one to see how well the system worked before really investing a lot of money in the more expensive bulbs. I have to say that I'm so glad I went with this. The system was really easy to set up and I even went back and bought 4 more of the same white stand alone bulbs. I had read other reviews about these on other sites saying they weren't very bight but I completely disagree. At 100% brightness they are brighter than the CFC bulbs they replaced. They give off a warm light which I personally prefer over the bright white light. If your looking to start automating your home this is a great first step and the HomeKit integration is awesome! I love being able to just say "Hey Siri, Turn on my office light" and just like that its on. No delay really either. I highly recommend this kit and I'm really excited to start expanding and adding even more to my home.

This lighting system is one of the coolest this I have bought in awhile. It is easy to setup and works great. The ability to control the lights in your home from anywhere is very nice. You have the ability to dim all the lights without the install of dimmer switches. This is a must buy.

This is a product that is meant to make your life easier. You can connect up to 50 lights and each light acts as an extender for the bridge. You use your smartphone to get full customization or you can use just your voice if you have either a Google Home or an Amazon echo. There is one downside however and that is you can no longer use your physical light switch to turn off the lights, because if you do so then you won't be able to turn them back on with your phone or Google Home/Amazon Echo and it kills one of the biggest points of having these lights in the first place. So you have to use your smart device to turn the lights off and make sure you leave the physical light switch always on! This downside itself has nothing to do with hue so I'm not taking any points out of them for this since you're going to run into this problem with every single smart lighting system. The only way to get rid of this problem is to replace your outlets with smart outlets or replace your light switches with smart switches. Other than the downside that is not Hue's fault at all, I would give this product 5 stars but the app itself is a little flaky and could be better designed. Controlling lights using the app while away from home also seems to be a hit or miss and I haven't found out how to schedule the lights to go on and off at certain times yet. Overall I'd give this close to 4 stars. Redesign the app, fix the bugs and make it better and simpler to use and this would get a 5 star from me! :)
