I recently upgraded my whole entire house with these bulbs and i love it sometimes i get home late from work and from my office i can turn on the whole entire house lights using the hue app on my cell phone so my dogs don't have to be in the dark. it also works great with Siri and Apple Home Kit.

I’m no technical wizard but was able to set up this starter kit (bridge and bulbs) no problem. I use them every day with the echo dots around my house. I also bought this for a family member who is disabled and it totally enables them to do more on their own using their voice or smart phone!

I bought this as an entry to see if I'd like making my apartment "smarter". I was not dissapointed! The bulbs are rated for 800 lumens so they're plenty bright for almost any room. The staff also helped me in finding the IFTTT app which has been super helpful! I live by myself and often get home at late hours of the night. Using the app, I've got my living room lights set up to turn on when I arrive to help me navigate into my apartment. All in all, you won't be dissapointed with this kit, especially if you're using this as a way to get into the smart home of things and are curious what it's like. I highly recommend them!

If you haven’t gotten into a smart home yet this is a great way to get into making your home a smart home. I really like the way the app works and how easy it was to install, the only thing I have against them is that an update for the Hue Bridge can take some time to do.

Great value. $69 for a hub and two bulbs? Yes! Glad Phillips sells a starter kit that is ACTUALLY a value, otherwise I would have not considered adding Hue bulbs into my home. Phillips Hue integrates with a lot of apps and services, so you're able to do so much with it. I believe it has made my a life a bit easier (I hate getting up to turn off the light, don't you), I love integrating it with some of the apps I have on my phone and Logitech Harmony. Also, I enjoy having friends over and seeing them react to seeing the lights turn on/off without doing all the physical work. Buy this if you want an easier life!

The Hue starter pack is a great way to see the reason home automation is a requirement. I can set timers for when I’m away from home. I’m able to control my lights from my phone or iPad, which is super convenient! I highly recommend the Hue lighting system.

It is a nice platform to get started with smart lighting. It's kind of wonky with having a HUB and also having to click the button on the hub to pair the lights. For a techie it was an ok experience, but for an average consumer I don't know if I'd recommend it. It seems to not respond to Alexa every now and then whereas LiFX never has that problem. Your guess is as good as mine.

This is a great way to get in the smart light game, if you're not sure you want to spend 200$ or build a kit I'd suggest this kit. You get the hub and 2 white bulbs. Setup is ez pz and other lights can be added easily. I got this and 2 color bulbs initially to play with and make my decision. I now have my living room complete with 5 different color bulbs my hall, entrance and kitchen in white/yellow and will doing my bedroom in color. My only suggestion would be to buy the Hue Switch(24$)I got three, not the Tap(60$) and link set each group of lights to a switch. While Siri and home kit are cool, it's nice to be able to just hit a button for on off or adjust brightness. There's also the matter of when you don't have your phone on you or a smartwatch. All in all I'd recommend this if you're on the fence. It's pretty cool to say "hey siri overnight mode" and watch all the lights dim and go to the preset colors and brightness we setup.

I got 16 of the A19 bulbs and they are great. Being able to remotely control my interior lights is awesome as well as turn the lights on downstairs when our child needs to get a toy from downstairs at night. Paired with the Echo Dot life is good!

After using the Hue lights for about a month, I must say I am quite impressed. Setup was a breeze and the convenience of being able to schedule your lights to turn on and off whenever needed is amazing. The bulbs themselves provide a very pleasant light and are very energy efficient. The kit can be easily expanded and even supports smart lightbulbs from other systems like GE. Highly recommended.

Bought the starter kit after receiving Amazon Dot for Christmas. It was easy to connect to my network. Just connect the cable to your router and hold down the blue button. Once connected you can program different scenes on your phone or tablet with the Hue Application. Scenes allow you to set dimming percentages from 1% - 100%. routines allow you to schedule times when lights are on or off. You can also command Alexa to turn lights on, off or set to a specific dimming percentage. I bought 6 more lights after the first week and replaced lights in my living and family room.

This kit is a great way to get started with Hue if you don’t have for example, Amazon Echo... personally, I like the flexibility of not being married to one product so the Hue starter kit is great. The control and ease of use is simple and fun!

Wish I would have bought these long ago! Works as described - very simple set-up and usage. Lots of ways to add to home automation systems - I am using with Amazon Echo for voice control - works great

Philip's Hue Starter Kit is easy to set up. Love the feature of changing the brightness of the light from dim to bright. The Philip's Hue App is also easy to use. The app allows you to control the brightness, set up an alarm, and set up your daily routines as to when you want the lights on or off. The only downside was I wasn't able to download the app on to my Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet. I don't know if it's cause my tablet is out to date - still playing around with it. Overall, I just love the item. I plan to purchase more Philip Hue's White Light Bulbs.

These Hue light bulbs are awesome. The best part about them is being able to control them with our Amazon Echo. We liked these lights so much the I bought one of the Philips hue go lights for each of our sons to use as a night light.

I didn't think these lights and realize how nice they are to come on by themselves At a spacific time that I set, or turn them on my phone anywhere.... I have them come on when I wake up for work then turn off right when I need to leave ... Very cool..

Great product, able to use Siri to control the lights and set up schedules for the lights to turn on and off. Allows me to fully integrate my lightening to make my smart home. Instant response time to commands. Absolutely love it!

I have had these lights for a couple of months and I absolutely love them! I had a hard time deciding between these and the Belkin smart home system. The Best Buy sales associate I talked to in store helped me decide on the Phillips System. The phone app works great on both Android and iPhone system. I really enjoy being able to set scenes for waking up versus going to bed at night. Those come in use when one of us is going to bed/waking up earlier than the others! The set up for these was also surprisingly straight forward! I would highly recommend!

My ten year old daughter has an echo dot and we have Alexa Echo in the living room. We bought the starter kit with the hub and 2 lights (white). The bulbs and hub worked perfectly when we powered them on. The hub and bulbs work with Alexa. It's so lovely to come home to a tranquil lit home. You will need to download the app to your smartphone to set up this connection. When we pull in the driveway, the lights come on. We are considering adding more lights around the house (with changing colors). We are really enjoying them.

These light bulbs are fantastic. Setup took me less than 5 minutes, the configuration for the bulbs to work with Alexa took another 5 minutes. The usability of these lights with the voice command to Alexa is totally worth it!
