The mere ability to control lights with a remote is something I never knew would be so convenient until I actually had it. Will dive right into the whole Phillips smart light ecosystem.

Having voice-controlled lighting is more fun and convenient than I had imagined. Super easy to install, just get free Hue app for your phone, switch out the lightbulbs you wish, plug bridge into router, follow the steps on your phone app and that's it. It works perfectly through Echo Dot or through the phone app. For example, you can say, Alexa, "bedroom light 80 percent" and it will dim down. You can also do control each light away from home thru phone app.

At full price, there may be some more cost effective options, however, I was able to get this on sale. It links up to google home and amazon alexa, and is therefore very helpful. can turn on/off lights in another room before i go in there. with IFTTT, can turn on and off all lightts using a variety of different conditions. can dim lights at a certain time of day, Turn on the lights when it detects my phone has arrived at home, etc.

I decided on the Hue system due to its wide acceptance between ifttt, Apple home, Alexa and now Google home. I have added many lights to the system now including the bloom and led strips. Its a lot of fun, and the house looks amazing with just a little attention to my lights. I recommend getting the multi white for your system rather than the standard 14.99 lights. Changing the hue to a bright white during the day makes a much brighter and amazing home.

Bought this after receiving an Echo Dot for Christmas. Needed something for the living room since it's lighting comes exclusively from lamps. The setup was extremely easy with the IOS app and connecting to the Dot was just as easy. Love the ability to control the lighting via the app or voice command. I have already purchased a couple of additional lights to add to the collection. Highly recommend for anyone looking to automate their home lighting.

Phillips Hue kughts are definitely the best set up for my house and the family members houses I have set up. Dependable, simple to use and in the end I feel is a good price range.

As the easiest to use, the most compliant with other apps and products, and the most fun of smart lighting systems, the Hue system is what you're looking for. I have tried various other systems and I can attest to the fact that the Hue system is very much the best in the business. There are certainly bulbs that are better in some regards (LifX vs Hue RGBW) of which you can also incorporate into your system if you so choose to go that route.

I considered buying more Insignia Smart Plugs but thought I'd try these out. Compatible with my Google Home Mini and my iPhone. Can't wait to buy more bulbs and link more rooms!

Bought this set for my daughter. Easy to install. Setup to work with standard front porch and driveway light fixtures. Fixtures protect the Hue lights from elements and is not enclosed. Put/Take bulbs out from bottom of fixtures. Now outside lights are schedule to turn and shutoff at certain time of the day. Works well with Google Home or Siri. Great buy item was on sale.

I was hesitant to get these bulbs in the starter set but I’m glad I bought them. Easy to set up hub and lights, great way to control bulbs from bright to dimmer settings. I added a bulb with color settings for my home theater room and I’m happy I did that, I can go from warm to cool lights and I can dim them to a cool blue tone if I’m watching a movie for a great effect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Love how easy it is to manage your lights from anywhere right from your phone. The color bulbs work with this if you wanna upgrade to those later. They are awesome! Energy efficient also! :)

This is my first purchase of a smart home product. At first look it was a nice looking product set up was very easy now I love it I will be getting more Philips Hue products

The Phillips Hue starter kit has everything you need to set up remote controlled lighting in two locations in your home. Also works great in interfacing with Google Home!

It's like any hobby. Once you start, you can't stop. I started with this starter kit and have since bought a dozen more Hue bulbs. It's easy to set up and fun to use. One of my favorite aspects is configuring my iPhone + Apple TV (4th gen) as a HomeKit hub, and also using it with my various Amazon Echo's throughout the house. As I arrive home, if it's after sunset, the lights will automatically turn on. It's magical.

I only spent a few minutes connecting the base to my router and the installation was done. The app works great and I have not had an issue with the light bulbs at all.

These lights are fantastic and have enhanced my home. They are synced up to my Echo Dot and it makes entering and leaving the home so easy. I also love that I don't have to get in and out of bed to turn the lights off and on. The ability to dim the lights and change them to different scenes based on the time of day is so wonderful too. The night scene helps me tremendously when falling asleep. 10/10 I recommend!

Setup several around the house and used the Hue ap and Hub to setup timers and light levels. Then I easily added as individual and groups to Echo Plus. Works great.

I purchased this product and the convenience it created for my home is great with just a simple app you can control up to fifty lights at once dimming and setting timers are also options with this package. I recommend this product especially if you have family who like to leave lights running all the time which can be costly with your electrical bill.

I bought these on kind of a lark, I have an echo dot, and was researching all it could do. Turning my lights off by voice is kinda handy, but some of my favorite things are not really in conjunction with the dot. Setting the lights to come on at the time I hit snooze for the last time helps me wake up, and as I have light blocking curtains, using my location on my phone, I have the lights in the entryway come on automatically when I get home. I would use the timers and such for when I was away, but as I use light blocking curtains, the lights aren’t visible from outside so...
