I already have some hue bulbs and purchased these to add to some additional lamps we have. Easy to order, came in sooner than expected, and extremely easy to set up. Normally they are pricey but these were on sale so made the purchase worth it. The app is easy to use and I've had my current bulbs for more than 5 years without replacing. I expect just as long of life out of these.

I love all of the color options for these bulbs. They are very vibrant and so far I haven't had any issues with any of them and I have purchased many of these bulbs. I don't like how I have to switch to wifi to use the app and change the colors, and also when the bulbs are shut off and I turn them back on I have to set the colors again in the app. I wish they remembered what I last set them on and I didn't have to switch to wifi. I also wish they were a bit cheaper because I want to buy other bulb types that are more expensive than this one. :/

I have many of these and led strips from Philips and they are easy to setup, configure, and use. I love being able to say "Alexa turn of living room" or "Alexa, dim lights 50 percent" and it does perfectly. When you include the Philips Hue app, managing is even easier. Well worth the money and I am buying more of these for my new house.

If you, like me, are trying to chose between Philips Hue and Lifx, please consider how many smart light bulbs you will eventually want in your home. If your answer is just a few, then go with Lifx. With Lifx, your bulbs connect directly over your existing WiFi, so no need for a bridge. If you want more than a few, get Philips hue with a bridge. The benefit of a bridge that is often overlooked by reviewers is that multiple smart lights and other smart home accessories won’t congest your WiFi network. With that out of the way, the Philip hue color bulbs are freaking great. In practical every day usage, it is very nice to have cooler focused lighting while working, and warm the lights to a more relaxing color when work is over. It really helps change the mood and perception of a room when working from home all the time. As for the colors, well I won’t go into all the uses, but Know that different light colors can help with different tasks and moods. The amount of light colors that Siri understands is pretty impressive to. There is a list floating out there. For practical use, try telling Siri to change the color to “wheat”. Anyways, if you want smart lights that have thousands of potential Uses and you want a lot of them, but these.

Bought the starter kit to just see how I would like smart lighting. Ended up loving it. I now have a smart home and able to control lights in all the rooms. I love being able to turn lights off in any room without getting out of my chair. Love the ambience lighting gives each room. We have an endless number of ways to provide the right atmosphere for every occasion.

PROS: these lights work great from the Phillips app. Lots of colors and variations can be done. They get just bright enough to light our rooms. CONS:cost, these are so dang expensive. You do have to purchase the geek squad coverage as these are made to fail just when Phillips coverage ends.

Best lights ever! Most of the bulbs in my house are now Hue lights. I love them. Although the colors arent as bright as the white, its still cool being able to set the mood for whatever activity. The app is pretty good too and I love the widgets feature and having light recepies ready to go at the push of a button without having to launch anything.

Very easy to set up with the hue bridge AND Bluetooth apps. I added the bulbs to the hue bridge so I can control the bulbs with my hue bridge app (along with others set up in my home) and give my kids control over the lights in JUST their rooms using the hue Bluetooth app. These bulbs have amazing colors and the app is very cool. Well worth the money.

2-pack saves a little and BT option is nice

Buying these bulbs in a 2-pack saves a little bit of money, so if you need more than one bulb, then go for the 2-pack. Also, I believe the Bluetooth models are the same price as the non-Bluetooth model, so having the extra option for BT is nice (note: these work with Hue Bridge too). In reality, for most lighting locations people are going to tend to use white color temperatures (so White Ambiance might be the better, less expensive choice), but it is fun to have colors for holiday mood lighting. The white color temperatures give the full-rated lumens. The non-white colors don't generate the full-rated lumens. Regarding Bluetooth, be aware that the Hue BT app only works with a limited number of Bluetooth bulbs (10) and it does not support groups. So, if you have 3 bulbs in one location and 2 in another, you might have to turn them on/off all at once or one at a time and they all have to use the same theme (which could mean different colors, but you can't control each bulb individually). HOWEVER, if you have the Hue Bridge, then you have full control over these bulbs.

I purchased two more A19 color lights for my front porch. I wanted to be able to change the lights for Christmas coming up. These are great smart lights to get especially if you already have the Philips Hue ecosystem. If you don’t, I would advise you get something other than Hue lights. There are several other options out there that are cheaper and actually brighter than Hue lights. The reason I keep buying hue lights is so I can keep most of my smart lighting controls contained within one app. If you really want to step it up, download an app such as ‘Lighter’ which will allow you to run all sorts of holiday lighting schemes and they release new stuff all the time. It’s a little pricey but I like it a lot. I’m sure there are free options that do something similar you can check out. All in all these are great lights but only if you are willing to fork over nearly $50 per bulb. Also, all hue lights have an occasional problem with the app auto-discovering the bulbs. Sometimes you have to manually add them within the Hue app by using the bulbs serial number. Not a huge deal just a mild inconvenience.

Have these all throughout my home, and they are amazing. Just make sure the hub or Alexa device is relatively close or the connection could drop. The routines to set up for different colors, brightness, etc. is unmatched.

I love the color hue bulbs. They are addictive and once you get some you will continue to buy the color ones. Best to wait for a sale as they are expensive. I love the options for color and the different scenes you can use. Recommend for more options for hue.

I find these very convenient. I like the bluetooth feature works well. The Phillips hue bulbs seem to last longer than its competitors. For the price point you are recieving quality and long term dependability. These help set the mood in any room. My family really enjoys them.

Pros: Highly customizable. Better blues and greens, with improved color consistency, brightness, and longevity over previous bulbs. More intuitive app experience. Lots of fun third-party integrations. Cons: Expensive. Setting Routines could be easier.

I have always wanted the multi color smart lights and I love these! I love that I can create different scenes depending on my mood. Works perfectly with Siri and Google home. My only complaint is that the pack comes in 2 instead of 3 like the white bulbs. But other than that, I love them!

Purchased these a bit hesitantly, mainly due to the price. But boy was I happy once I set a few of these around the house. Bright, easy to use and control through the app. I have all my lights set up to go along with my music and I could not be any more happy with the results.

This bulb fits almost any lamp. Choose almost any color you can think it and change the whole mood of your home. Definitely would recommend getting the Hue bridge with it if you want the ultimate features, for example enabling Siri for voice command.

I now have 11 Philips Hue bulbs in my home -- 1 white candelabra bulb, 2 white A19 bulbs, and 6 of these -- all of them are "must-haves," easy to use, and of high quality. My only gripe is how expensive they are, but it's still a good value.
