My fiancé has an old pull chain hallway light fixture with no switch on the wall and the chain kept breaking. Rather than hiring an electrician to run wires through the plaster walls (or being brave enough to do it myself) in order to have a wall switch we bought this genius of a product. You literally just screw it into the existing fixture and the remote is already paired up with it for instant usability!! Bright, dimmable reliable light! Worth every penny!

I left a rather subpar review on the Philips color hue bulbs. They are overpriced, not bright at all, have poor color reproduction, and utilize a poor app. These bulbs only suffer from the poor app and the inability to change white color temperature like other competitors offerings. Outside that, they are bright enough and the dimmer switch is AWESOME. I actually returned these bulbs since I went with LIFX bulbs (better color, app. and brightness) but I miss that dimmer switch. If you are only going for white bulbs and are okay wth soft white then I think these are a good option. If you plan to add colors bulbs to the mix or want the ability to adjust white color temperature (e.g. living room soft white, kitchen cool white) then look elsewhere.

I love this entire concept. The switch allows simple on and off function and Dimmng Only. (No color adjustments) Very easy to program and integrate with a pre-existing hue setup in your home. Or for even simpler operations, the remote works right out the box with included bulbs

Whether you're looking to ease yourself into the Philips Hue system or just wanting to dim a single lamp, the Hue wireless dimming kit is a great, affordable way to get there. As part of the kit, you get a 60W-equivalent Hue White LED bulb (I'd actually say 60W is conservative... it runs a little brighter), the dimming remote that allows you to turn the light on or off and dim it, and a wall plate that can be mounted via magnets, double-sided tape, or screws. It works great, it's reliable, and the quality of light from the Hue White bulb is fantastic. There are only two minor knocks I have about the product: First, the shade of white Philips has chosen for the remote and wall plate don't match standard US switches or receptacles. If you mount it by an existing white switch, it looks out of place. Second, the face of the remote doesn't have any tactile indicator of which way is which. I put the remote on my night stand every night, and without actually picking it up, you can't tell which end is off/dimmer and which end is on/brighter.

I bought this device so i wouldn't have to always use my phone to turn on and off the lights in my bedroom. Installation was a breeze and I know have a physical on/off button, along with brightness control built right into the wall. One other great feature is that the controller is secured into the unit with a magnet. This allows you to remove the controller from the wall and keep on a night stand or desk.

Adding on to my growing number of smart devices and convenience tools around the house, this dimmer replaces a standard hall switch. The ability of the dimmer to allow power to the bulbs so they can be controlled through the app or other Smart devices is the best feature. Smart bulbs are useless with typical switches because once the power is cut the access is removed. This dimmer works great, is easy to install and even can be removed to use from the couch. Though with smart bulbs you are better off using your Home or Alexa or phone and just leave the remote on the wall so it doesn't get lost in the couch!

This was a breeze to setup and use. Integrated easily into my existing Hue hub. Love the magnetic wall plate. I attached it to my door to make it easy to turn on/off my lights when leaving or entering. I’m considering a few more to have around the house. It allows you to customize and access lights where you would not usually have a switchplate. Love it!

We started with one of these to add to our lights in the kitchen so we wouldn't have to use the app every time we wanted to turn the lights on/off. We now have 4 and plan to buy 3-4 more to use in other rooms. The best thing about this item is it comes with a bulb, buying this set is $10 cheaper than buying the switch and bulb separately.

I got this so my son could read, then turn off the light from bed, or I could turn it off from another room. Since the remote is removable it's easy for him to keep in bed. I already had some Hue stuff so this was an easy choice. There are cheaper options, but not by much, and I think the Hue stuff is pretty simple to make work.

I used this product in conjunction with the hue bridge. In addition to being able to use alexa to turn the light on and off, the button switch is super convenient to be able to easily turn the lights on and off, and also dim the lights. The surprising bonus I discovered was you can configure the switch to use different scenes when you continue to press the ON button. To illustrate, the first time you press ON, it turns the lights back on to its previous state, the second time you press ON, I have it configured to be full brightness white light, press it a third time, dim 50%, fourth = cherry scene (shades of red), fifth = arctic scene (shades of blue). Really nifty.

I have not used it as standalone set, but instead integrated it into an existing hue system. Switch works well. Just pick a scene in the hue app for it to control. Picking up an extra bulb for not much more money is great. Been really nice to have a physical control for running in a room without your phone.

My dad used to call me to turn on of off his light in his room - now he has a remote control for it right next to him at all times. Helps disabled become MORE abled and independent and I really appreciate the help! Great idea - Magnet on back to stick onto wheel chair, fridge, etc...

The limitation to installing Phillips Hue bulbs throughout your home is what happens when friends or family who don't have the Hue app need to turn lights on or off. The easy solution is the Hue Wireless Dimming Kit. It's easy to install (5 min) and easy to use. This is a great addition to the Hue system.

I bought this for my daughter's bedroom bathroom as a nightlight and it works great. I put the dimmer on the wall above her bed so she can control it. Plus I can control it from my phone if I want it dimmer, or shut off the light if she goes to school and forgets to shut it off.

My Edison Bulb light fixture project was a success, minus the fact that the bulbs were too dim to be useful (40w). I replaced them with a dimmer and two regular Hue bulbs. Now via Thinkspeak, I mean, we can control the lights via Google or Alexa, PLUS this cool magnetic remote.

Purchased this as my second dimmer set and they work great! Simple to install and haven't had any problems. I bought a second white bulb to put in a two socket floor lamp, linked it to the wireless remote effortlessly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy upgrade to the old style bulbs.

I bought a couple of these and saved some money. I already have a network of Hue lights and paired the dimmers with another set of lights and used the smart bulbs for a set of lamps in the bedroom. Everything works perfect. Everything is easy to setup via the Hue app.

Works great! I love the switch, and the fact that you can set different things to the number of times you press a button (IE, I have mine set up to have the "ON" switch turn on to the previous level after one press, and full brightness after another). I added this to a standing lamp in our living room, which gives a much better quality of light than 6 glaring bulbs in the main fixture. I love that I can just put the switch on the wall near the main light's switch, which means no having to go out of your way to turn on the light! Plus, works great with my Gen 1 Hub, Almond+, and Alexa!

This really compliments hue system. Without it, you need to always control your lights through the app, computer or device. This is not always convenient and this switch makes the system complete in my eyes. The added value of an extra light bulb is great as well!
