It allows you to turn on a few lights or all lights. So you don't have to use your voice and wake people up.

what can i say? I love hue. this just makes it easy to control the lights and save up to 5 settings.

Bought this to use in my Son's room who is 2, for his lamp that isn't hard wired to the wall switch. Works perfectly.

If you have lamps that need a switch on the wall or a floor lamp that needs a wall switch, great and easy to use with.

You obviously needs more than one Philips Hue bulb to have a connected house. This kit gives you a bulb and a remote!

I added this kit to a floor lamp by the bed. Now I can easily control the light without reaching under the lamp shade.

I love this, and it works great. I'm only taking off a star because there weren't any included instructions on how to add the remote to a hub. I had to search Philip's website for that. But I love it, and would definitely recommend.

Also, the bulb can be accessed away from home and can be geo-tagged, meaning, if you forget to turn your lights off, it will automatically turn off, or the opposite, when arriving at your home, they will turn on. I will be gradually replacing all my light bulbs!

This switch made it much easier for my wife to go along with my plans for the Hue system. Now she can press just one button and control all of the lamps in the living room, without getting up from her seat. She finally gets it!
