This was worth getting! My apartment is old school and doesn't have lights or switches in the livingroom or the closet. Added this, and having the remote is awesome

I love these lights, and it was perfect to have the dimmer switch come with this. It makes it easy for friends to turn lights of when they are here when I am not.

I got this to control light strip in my kitchen. So far it’s working great and haven’t had any issues. Would definitely recommend!

If you do not want to go "All in" and purchase a starter kit ( HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THOUGH ) Then this is a great starting point. It can be used in one lamp on Light fixture. The Switch is also a remote that connects to the back plate magnetically. You can also mount the back plate via command strips ( included ) so no drilling holes in walls! I placed it next to the wired switch that controls the light I screwed the HUe light into. Flip it on and leave it that way, and now you can control it with the dimmer switch.. These things are AWESOME!!

I was in need of a way to switch a light in our second bedroom. The Phillips Hue that I purchased worked perfectly to this end.

I purchased this package instead of the bulb and switch individually because it's a better deal. I mainly needed the switch at this point since not everyone has a smart phone in the house and not everyone knows how to use Alexa to switch on and off the lights. There's a few reasons I like this switch. First I like that you can place it anywhere. If you don't like where the original switch for a light is then this wireless switch comes in handy since you can just stick it to any wall or surface that you want and wherever you want without having to rehardwire a normal switch to where you want it. Another perk is that with these switches you can dim the lights connected to it that may not have been dimmable before. I havnt really had a need to take the switch with me as a remote but there is that perk aswell. Lastly I'd say for people in my situation of having other household members with out a phone to change the lights that the smart switch ensures that they won't use the old switch anymore which cuts the communication from the bulb to the hub which is a pain to deal with since it then defeats the purpose of having smart bulbs in the first place.

We use this for our living room, which is the room we are least likely to have a phone in our hand. It works well, and it is nice to able to set some of the presets to the switch. I wished they had a kit with the dimmer and a color bulb instead.

I purchased this as an easy upgrade to a pull light in the basement. Setup was easy, and makes going down there much nicer.

I bought this for my dad's birthday and he loves it. The remote is great and you don't need the hue bridge for it either.

This is a good bang for your buck setup with a single remote and light. I only have one and installed it in a lamp, so I can’t comment if this works with more than one bulb. Easy to set it up and I placed the remote holder on the wall and usually use it as a dimmable light switch. Highly recommend!

I have four separate switches to control specific lighting in our house. I like that you can stick them to the wall or use them as a magnet (one is on our white refrigerator and controls our overhead lights. It blends in perfectly.)

This is a nice add to the hue kit. Having a switch for our most used light is handy, as you do not have to use your phone only.

I keep adding more hue to my house hold. They work well and the apps are functional. I really like the Amazon Echo integration. Its nice to say: lights all off as I leave the house" Color quality is good. the dimmer remote is great. Likely to order more. Cheaper than adding a dedicated dimmer switch in the wall!

This is great for others in the family that don't have the Hue app on their phones. They can turn the lights on and off .

This switch makes operating the Hue lights a breeze and no longer dependent on your phone. A must have for any Hue setup.

Im using these along with apple home kit. They work great and does exactly what I needed. Great product.

I already had several Phillips hue bulbs before buying this dinner kit. The kit bulb connected easily to my other bulbs installed, and I was able to control six bulbs with the dimmer. I use this in a large living room, and the detachable faceplate that allows you to use the dimmerlike a remote is handy.

Excellent solution for upgrading a smart home lighting system. Allows dimming of the bulb without accessing an app.
