Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This helped me replace an old light switch that required me to pull a string to turn the light on. You can connect other light bulbs to the switch and this can also work independently from the hue hub. The bulb that comes with this is about 800 lumens. Its enough light to brighten up a dark area. Not so much on the white side more on the yellow side. It is bright though and dimmable. Great product.!

Best switches for my house

They can be attached to the wall and the remote can be removed to take to your nightstand at night. Combined with an Echo for voice control, I will never miss the dumb light switches I used to have.

Easy to use

Paired pretty easily, though i did have to enter the serial number of a few of the bulbs in order to have the bridge find them. Also, the switch took a few pairing sessions to actually pair up with the bridge. All in all, it works fine.

Being able to dim the light with your smartphone is awesome when you don't want to physically walk to the light switch. Great for setting the mood for "special" events or reading at night when you just want a little bit of light.
