Great switch for hue light control when not using app or echo dot voice commands

this hue light kit does not require a purchase of the hue bridge system. cheap and easy!

Voice control is great using my Google Home, but I really like having a physical switch too. It does what it's supposed to very well. I also love that its magnetic so I don't have to drill any holes in my apartment walls. It's also wireless so that I can take it with me to the couch when I sit down. My only complaint is that there are currently five configurable presets. The presets are great and you can even control 2 rooms with one switch. But I have no idea why they don't allow you to add or remove however many presets you want. Buying the combo saves you a few bucks over buying the bulb and switch individually, which is nice.

I really enjoy having the ease and functionality this device provides. My only complaint is that it occasionally requires an additional 2nd or 3rd tap on the button to activate the lights.

I purchased this product mainly for the switch. For 35 dollars this is a steal, this bundle is great if you are looking to save a few dollars on the hue system, reliable, and you got a white bulb and a switch and still save money at the same time

Convenient and easy to work with. So much better having lights on a remote vs an app. By the time you open the app and scan all of your products you could have turned the light on and off 5 times with this remote. Dimming works great.

This kit is great in the bathroom or anywhere you want to dim the lights.

I already have other Hue lights in my place and was just wanting to get a dimmer switch for the bedroom. I couldn't pass on getting the dimmer and another bulb. Win win to me. The bulb is the basic A19 white bulb so nothing real fancy. If you want to use it for a bedside lamp or something it is perfect. No ambiance but really the only room that works in is a living or family room. Most of the time you just want a light in a room and these are relatively inexpensive smart bulbs. The dimmer is pretty basic as well. Out of the box it is paired with the bulb it comes with. So you could just use it as a standalone light if you chose to. It does on/off and dim/bright and can be used as a remote control. The wall plate uses a magnet to hold the dimmer and you can take it out and carry it around with you. I use it on my night stand for my lamp. It was a bit of a pain to connect it with an existing system. You have to hit the reset button on the dimmer before the hub will detect it. The bulb I had to enter the manually into the configuration. My system would not pair and control it without some work. Still, I have the dimmer that I wanted and a bonus light. I'm happy with my purchase and think it is a pretty good value if you want to add a light and dimmer to an existing system. Not sure I would recommend it as an 'entry level' system as it doesn't have most of the features you get with a full Hue system with a hub.

its pricey but I love being able to voice control the light. The remote control just sticks on the wall, no wiring. REally great when you wake up in the middle of the night and dont want to search for the light switch
