When I purchased these switches, I had expected them to work out of the box, as described, which they did. However, I intended to connect these switches to multiple lights throughout the room, rather than the single light bulb that came in the package. I found it frustrating at times to get the Hue Bridge to recognize the switches, including putting the switch into Pairing mode, and equally difficult to get the bulbs to be recognized by the Hue Bridge. I often had to manually enter the serial numbers of the bulbs when pairing them with the bridge. If you plan to use the switch with the bulb that it comes with, this is a very easy setup to perform. Basically no setup is required. However, if you plan to expand or modify how the switch will be used, expect there to be some trial and error and some challenges along the way. Once everything was synced with the Hue Bridge, it was very simple and straightforward to configure everything the way I wanted.

This is exactly what we needed for our bedroom being that we operate on two different schedules and go to bed at different times. We are able to dim the light to the lowest brightness and then turn it off. Upon turning it back on with the remote (from the living room), the light turns back on at its most recent brightness level. This allows her to remain asleep and myself the adequate light to get ready for bed/tomorrow morning. Perhaps best of all, it sure beats navigating through a pitch black house just waiting to run into something and wake everyone up. Thumbs up!

The dimmer switch is high quality and I love that its magnetic and can be easily separated from the wall mount to become a hand held remote. I have one in my bedroom with I keep on my night stand so I can easily turn off bedroom lights before I go to bed.

I love the hue lights, i would recommend them to anyone. The only down fall is; it takes a few minutes to work correctly if the lights go out.

If you are replacing your existing ceiling lights that had a dimmer switch with Hue lights, you almost must have one of these Hue dimmer switches to restore the lost dimmer functionality. Yes, you can use your smartphone to control the lighting, but having a physical switch on the wall is sometimes the quickest and easiest way to control the lights. While you can get the switch by itself for $10 less, I think getting the extra bulb for $10 is nice if you have some floor lights or other lights you want to control with the rest of your Hue system.

Needed something to replace the pull chain light that was in my closet so that the chain doesn't have to be pulled. For the money you cant beat it.

This made it very easy for other household members that aren't tech savvy to control the lights. I was able to install in less than a minute.

A few years ago I began converting my home control systems to be SMART controlled. I prefer to the use the HomeKit feature on my Apple devices. As such, the Hue light system works flawlessly. I greatly enjoy the control I have of my Hue lights and really enjoy these switches and their many, many functions. I now use these switches (and detachable remotes) in all rooms to control single and group of lights.

We were deciding between buying an actual dimmer or buying this. Since it was for our nursery, we decided on this one so that we could use our voice if needed to turn on/off the lights. You can set presets for the on button. We have it set so when we hit on once, it turns on the lowest light (so it's not bright for the baby). Hitting it again brightens it a bit. Then hitting hit a third time turns on the light all the way. Very useful feature.

I have this in my house so my girl does not have to control the lights through her phone. I have all my lights in my house set to dark purple at night and I have the switch set to turn the lights on with normal white, it makes it much easier to just hit the switch to make all the lights normal without having to change scene on the phone. The dimming is just an added bonus and the ability to take the switch out of the plate and keep it close by is great. I highly recommend this for anyone with a significant number of hue bulbs.

As amazing as these lights are, and being able to control them from your phone, or voice, sometimes just having a simple switch is still awfully convenient. Up until now their was not a good answer, as the previous option was only the HUE TAP. The TAP was nice, but had some issues, and was not always that convenient. This is a simple, and very cost effective option, installs and seconds, and gives you the basic function that you probably want if you've been without a switch for awhile.

Has many programmable options for dimming, double/triple clicking, etc. Works as expected. I have 4 that I use with hue lights.

Works fine most of the time. Sometime it hangs and needs multiple click.

Both the switch and the bulb work as expected. Also, buying this bundle saves you about $10 vs buying each product separately.

Installed without a hitch to the existing Hue system. The switch can be used to control more than one Hue lamp.

Works great. Basically only buying dimmers now. Suoer helpful controlling the brightness level.

I already had two Phillips Hue bulbs and a hub before getting this product. I was looking to get another bulb that would allow me to stop turning on a light using a pull chain. This switch and bulb worked perfectly right out of the box. I then paired the switch with my Phillips Hue Hub so I could also control the switch with my Echo Dot. I love that I can control the light using the wall switch and also thru my Echo Dot. The wall switch is very stylish and easy to use.

No color on this bulb but works great with the included remote. Will dim very low and respond to the control immediately.

The dimmer switch is pretty good but could be improved. It can be programed with 4 scenes /functions by pressing the on button. For example, my dimmer is programmed 1st press is warm white at 100% brightness, 2nd press is dimmed at about 80%, 3rd is 50%, and 4th is the nightlight scene. The down side for me is that you can only program a maximum of 4 rooms or your entire house to one dimmer switch. This created an issue for us when my husband would get up in the morning at 3 am for work, and turn on the lights with the switch, waking everyone up with 100% brightness. We ended up reprogramming the switch for only the living room /dining / kitchen areas and will purchase separate switches for each bedroom to avoid that issue.
