These dimmer switches require no wiring as they are battery operated wireless dimmers. It comes with one white bulb. It’s cheaper to buy this combo kit than to buy each piece individually.

This was my first purchase of Hue products. I have to say... The ease of this setup makes me wonder why I have not done so before. No need to purchase the Hue Hub, this light dimmer can act as a hub for up to 10 devices. Which makes it easier if you live in that gigantic mansion aka anything outside of SF. Do yourself a favor and move into the 21st century, you're looking at your phone anyway. Go ahead and turn on that lamp in the corner from the app.

This is a great dimmer for Hue lights. I got the one with the light bulb as well for only ten bucks more. Out of the box the light and dimmer can be used as a dumb wireless light with no HUE control. setup less than a minute. screw the light bulb in and pull the tape off the battery. Then you can control the light with the dimmer switch. It has tape to attach it to the wall or screws if you prefer. Okay if you want to use it as a smart light from the HUE takes a little setup. Only con is the directions are terrible. First off the remote snaps into the back plate by magnets directions do not show this. First thing is you have to reset the bulb with the remote. Basically you reset the bulb so it is not connected to the dimmer. Then hit the reset button on the back of the remote and the on button and the center button of the hub and the remote will be found by the hub after you have gone into the hue app on your phone to recognize new device. Then use the hue app to now add the bulb to the hub and you are ready to add the hue lights to the dimmer. In the dimmer device in the app go to add lights and you just check the lights you want to be controlled by the dimmer. From then on all you do is pick the button on, off, dim or brighten and the lights respond from the remote. You can also still use your phone to control the individual lights or the dimmer to control all the lights. when you control the lights through the dimmer on or off the light when turned on the lights will come on at the same level you had before you turned them off. hope my directions fill in the gaps not found in the dimmer directions. The battery should last in excess of ten years for the remote, giving you the option to hard wire the light and not have any other on off switches. Enjoy.

Having ventured into the smart lights\smart house ecosystem lately, I realized quickly that a touch switch for each room is a necessary feature in the system. When walking into a room; yelling out to a voice control system is slow and noisy. Reaching for one's phone to turn on lights when home is impractical. Thus, as part of one's budget for each room's smart lighting, include the money to set up a touch switch. Overall, the switch was relatively easy to set up. A couple of wood screws will be enough to set the base on a sheet rock wall. (did not attempt to use the self adhesive) Be ready with a pin to press the re-set button as it helps the Hue system find the switch. Setting up scenes is required to allow the switch to do more than on\off and dimmed.

Overall works well. Good design and functionality but overpriced.

We keep buying more and more of them. Very happy with them and will keep growing our collection

These light bulbs are great! Even for the dimming features alone. The timers work great for porch lights which have been working perfectly for over a month even though they specifiy indoors only.

This thing is so convenient! The switch also detaches and functions like a remote control!

I added this to my kitchen cabinet lights which are the Hue light strips. love these things. Double sided tape is really all you need to mount to the wall so you can change it anytime you want. The remote comes out of the caddy easily and stays securely in place. You can program them to operate a specific light or every Hue light in your system with one press of a button. Love these things, bought two more since.

Initially I just purchased a bunch of hue light bulbs to replace light bulbs in my house but quickly I found that you have to leave the switches on to be able to remotely use the lights. So these little switches are very important to have and I ended up with over a half dozen of them to be able to locally control each of the Light Groups. They always seem to function flawlessly seamlessly even when the network is down.

I bought the LED dimmer kit because I use the A19 bulbs in lamps (so I don't accidentally turn off a wall light switch and shut off the power to a bulb if it were in the ceiling light.) But, I don't always want to use my phone to turn on the lights, so I purchased the dimmer switch. Hardly any effort al all to set up and you can program the dimmer to your preferences through the HUE app.

We had a set of lights above fireplace that required us to turn on/off by twisting bulbs .this product was a great option to have lights by wireless controllers

Nice kit. Made for a nice addition to my lighting control setup. Easy to operate and setup.

My basement had the old pull string for each bulb. That got old. I inserted 5 hue lights (this kit plus 3 more) and programmed them to the included remote. Super easy.... maybe 10 second set up per light. Mounted the remote to the top of the stairs with the adhesive frame and now i have full lighting with one push of a button. Awesome. The hue hub that's Internet connected is not required and I haven't needed to buy it.

The dimmer switch works very well. Easy to set up!

Added this to my current system mostly for the dimmer but on sale the bulb was almost free.

This dimmer kit is wonderful! It was super easy to set up with my current Phillips Hue Bridge. I actually over-complicated the set up, so don't try to overthink it haha! Works great, no issues. Love the sticky back to adhere anywhere on the wall. And I LOVE the magnetic back of the dimmer. Allows for incredible portability. Another great product from Phillips Hue!

We have an existing Hue setup that we were controlling from the app. I needed another A19 for a foyer and saw the combo with the dimmer switch. The new bulb worked with the switch right out of the box. I actually wanted the switch to use as a remote for the living room lights. Re-configuring the switch took all of thirty seconds. This is a great starter kit or addition to existing system.
