I didn’t know what to expect when I purchased this starter kit but it’s been nothing short of fantastic. It integrated right into both my Apple Home and Xfinity automation systems. Very happy with the purchase.

Set up was easy. LOVE the color bulbs! I have color bulbs in all bedrooms and the living room. Nice to adjust the different colors when watching a movie or sync it with music. Easy to sync with Alexa as well.

Phillips Hue Color kit/lights (I bought 2 kits on sale, and four additional lights) are fun, interesting, and useful. I now have a complete smart home! The set-up of the lights was no too difficult, except some of my bulbs had to be set-up manually (not difficult.) The app that controls them from Hue was limited. I ended up spending about 20 dollars more on approved apps I downloaded so I could use them to create a home theatre, use them to coordinate with music, and get better animated effects. Hue should have all of these in the app they supply, Using the additional apps for home theatre is what made me buy all the bulbs I did. I operate the lights from my cell phone app, Amazon Alexa, and I did buy a hue wall switch/dimmer/remote for those lights that made sense.. I set it up so my bedroom light gradually turns on to wake me up with sunrise colored lights. I like that the lights can be programed to come on when anyone in my family gets close to the house, With the app I added the dining room candles that play an animated program that makes them look like candles/fire. I had to remove the frequently used lights from the kitchen because my wife kept switching the old light switch off. She is light sensitive and the lights start flashing like a strobe when you do that. I did add the available light switch to the theatre lights to prevent that. The light switch that hue sells was not the same size as standard lights. The wall switch/remote dimmer switch was easy to install, but taking out the existing light three way wires, was more of a project then I wanted it to be. Hue should have more guidance and adaptive cover to make this easier. I have been using the kit for two weeks, and we have gotten used to turning them on and off from apps/Alexa. It took me some time to figure out how to best use them. I have one light that is in my dining room group, but somehow changes when I use my theatre lights? My wife was not happy about the lights at first. But I assured her that I was learning how to use them, and over time she enjoying many of the ways they add to your life. I have added other Smart home items now. There are real benefits to having these, and I am glad I bought them. When companies charge you to create a smart home they set up the same thing, for far more money. The bulbs are expensive, but last for two years.

Instead of getting up to turn off lights when I’m laying down I can just turn them off from my phone now. I love it! Also the colors work with meditating apps and go with movies and music

I love these lights. It was east to install. Each light can all be a different color. I have them hooked up to my Google home and I barely have to go in the app to change the color.

I love pairing these bulbs with my smart speakers for home control. My son loves changing the color of his bedroom light. These are pretty expensive but as a tech nerd I love them.

I have to say that I have been a fan of LED bulbs for quite some time. I had already replaced most of the lighting in out home with various LED bulbs - not hue. I stayed away from hue mostly because I thought he were outrageously priced. So here I am spending hundreds of dollars on bulbs to give them a try figuring that I would return them if I did not see a difference of the bulbs I was using. All I can say is wow! I bought A19 and PAR30 and the transformation was amazing. I have to say that there is nothing artificial about the spectrum of light coming from these bulbs, pick you favorite color and be amazed. Give them a try!

These lights are amazing! They look great and are easy to setup. My kids love changing the colors of them. Definitely a great way to experience lights like you never had before.

The lights are easy to use and sets the perfect mood for any occasions. We like the HUE labs living color, where the you can set the lights to continuously change colors.

I have the Hues lighting system, so I purchased this one for my son. His family absolutely loves it. It is so easy to use, and lots and lots of choices for color schemes.

These are great lights. Love the color ambience and really bright. And love having it work with Apple HomeKit! Only thing bad is the price per bulb $50 per bulb is pricey

Needed something I could control in my THEATER ROOM without having to get up and use the wall dimmer. There are a lot of options out there for SMART BULBS or even Bluetooth enabled bulbs , each with pros and cons. I bought the Phillips based on user reviews and have to say I am quite impressed. I downloaded the app from the Google Play Store and paired it with the Bridge that comes with this kit. Each bulb in the box will have to be updated on the app. After the update I can control everything on my smart phone or tablet while sitting in my Theater Chair without having to get up. Works Perfect.

Make my day easy by asking google to turn on/off the lights without getting up. Set the mood and change the colors. Dim the lights. Need to read, turn up the lights. Control the timer via your phone. Can’t imagine our home without this function. Adding more lights to simplify what lights are on at any given time. Highly recommend as a gift but don’t forget to treat yourself.

Easy to set up and fun to use. A lot of different shades of colors. I like how you can program preset colors. Easy app and easy to use with google home.

The lights themselves are easy to use. The Hue App allows you to control color and timing settings. To sync to music, you will need to download a third party app which may cost you some money. The only negative is they do not work with dimmer switches. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I am relatively new to all things smart, but these lights were easy to set up. My kids have enjoyed using the scenes with various colors. However, if you don’t intend to use the color schemes, you are probably better off getting the less expensive, white smart light. I’m not sure that we use the colors enough to justify the difference in price.

These are some very cool lights! the colors are rich and controlling them is super easy with either the phone app or using the echo show.

Simple to set up! I love the different colors and option to change brightness. My 82 year old grandma is able tell it to turn on etc..

This is an awesome product. I installed these on the outside fixtures of my house for a few reasons. 1. So I could set a schedule for them to come on. 2. So I could control them with my phone and google home. 3. So I could create seasonal looks. All three of these have worked out very well! I have them set to red and green for Christmas now and it is very neat. I would buy them again. Since purchasing them I have added other hue lights to the house and they are so easy to setup and add to the smart home system.

Yes, they’re definitely a bit pricey but there a total game changer. There’s no comparison to any other smart bulb. Colors are vibrant and with one bulb you can fill a room with no issues. Process to set up was easy, since the bridge is already linked to the bulbs that come in the box. Hue app is intuitive and easy to use.
