Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this set for my grandparents since I’ve had Hue bulbs in my own house since they came out, and have never had an issue with them. They work fine with Siri/Alexa. I have most scheduled to turn on/off at different times of the day. Colors are all great. (except green - Hue strip is much better for green) Coordinating different “scenes” for movie time, bedtime, etc is a breeze. I have some LIFX items, and while they are MUCH brighter, the Hue app is far more intuitive IMO. Also, my LIFX Bar flickers, even though customer service is great and they’ve exchanged parts quickly without headache. So that’s probably just my bad luck, but I’ve had over a dozen Hue lights for years without a single problem.

These lights are amazing!

Far exceeded my expectations for what you can do with these lights. For me the favorite part is having them gradually turn on every day in the morning to wake me up. Awesome!

Easy way to a smart home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first started with bellkin wemo system using smart plugs and switches. They work well but installation of the smart switch was hard because of a small box. And the earlier plugs were big so they blocked two outlets. The philips hue system was much easier to set up and use. Install the app. Set up the bridge. Put in the smart bulbs. Assign them names. Both systems work with Alexa. Both systems can be controlled anywhere in the world via the app. The wemo system does seem to lag using Alexa where the hue is more quick to respond. If I had to start over I would use more hue items and only use wemo items for the built in lights. But try this starter kit and see if you don’t start buying more hue bulbs and devices.
