I bought these to connect my home lights. It worked out OK, but at times the app was slow to load. I have no patience for slow, since if it takes more than 2 seconds, I can just turn the light switch myself. I was using it with Google home mini and it was good until it did not receive my commands all the time. Overall a good product, but can get expensive outfitting your whole house.

Purchased the white light starter set to give the Amazon Echo that I purchased for my wife for Chirstmas something to do other than give the weather report. Originally considered both fairly "gimmicky", just something to spend money on that I have no real need for. Pleasantly suprised and a quick convert. Already spoiled by the convenience of "Alexa turn on family room lights". Will definitely be expanding the smart light network in other parts of the house. Pricey for light bulbs, but we will see about the energy consumption and longevity.

i bought this starter pack on cyber monday becuase it was a good price to try out. I enjoy using it to control a light in my bedroom, 2 in livving room and one in kitchen, works great

If you are on the fence, get off the fence and buy this. It will not disappoint. That being said wait til it is on sale. DO NOT buy the color pack. This hub will work with the color bulbs and you will more than likely not need 4 of those.

This package is what one really needs to jump into the automated/smart light bulb arena. I initially bought (1) color changing light bulb and thought Google Home could control this solo. This is WRONG. :-) I went back and bought the starter kit which includes the bridge. Connecting the bridge was painless and the HUE app is pretty good at walking you through what is needed to arrange everything. I primarily use the Google Assistant to manage my lights by voice. I would recommend this set for anyone looking to automate their lights!

initial configuration wasn't very user friendly. No way to tell which light is which when assigning to rooms. If you ever have to re-pair, lights must be close to bridge. After getting everything synced and working. Lights are awesome

Perfect to replace regular white light bulbs for a reasonable price. Now I’m kinda addicted to looking for color lights. Automations is where these shine. Come home and automatically turn on the lights! Totally recommend these lights.

Seriously the greatest invention for the table lamp since the original light bulb!! Got the starter kit for $60! If you have doubts about paying $15 a light bulb, consider a dimmable light bulb is about $5 then $15 more for a lamp dimmer. With Hue Bulbs, you are paying $15 and can control it with your Alexa/Google and phone.. The extra cost of the hub allows you to set schedules, remote turn on and off, and set wake up routines. The light bulbs themselves give off a great amount of light, and works much better than the ambiance bulbs at lighting up a room. My only complaint is that they are kind of “cold” when dimmed all the way.

I got these for a steal on black Friday to pair with my Google home. It has the newer bridge and I love being able to set up the lights on the app and just know they'll do what I need to do without me ever fussing with the switch.

It’s easy to setup. Now I can use Echo Dot, Google mini, and Siri to control lights. In addition, after setting up Hue online account, I can remote control the lights while away. Very fun to use. No more mechanical timers needed!

This system is perfect for us. We control all our single bulb fixtures with the Hue app now. Really easy to install and control. It's also pretty fun to randomly flick lights on and off if you want to give someone a little scare.

I was looking for a way to get into lighting with my Echo 1st generation. I've heard that Phillips are the Cadilac but needs a hub. This solves that plus gives you some bulbs! They work flawlessly. Try them and you'll love them!

I started with the white Hue kit, I am hooked, it works with my Amazon Echo and Google Assistant on my smartphone. I recently got the Hue color bulb, I am able to change color and brightness by voice to enhance my TV viewing.

This works great. I have named each lamp individually so I can ask them to turn on or off with my google home and mini. Some are on a schedule, turning on and off when programmed and others turn on and off with the sun up and sun down after they dim first for a small amount of time. I absolutely love that I can ask my lights to set themselves to a certain brightness to match my mood or the weather or the amount of daylight coming in. I can't wait to add some colored lights and strip lights to the equation soon.

This is my second set of Hue lights. I have a colored set and bought the second set for the beach house. It is very convenient to set the lights at the level you need and also the timing function when you are away from home.

The bridge is easy to set up with the Hue software available on your phone. The bridge then automatically identified each Hue bulb through the electrical grid in the house. The software is easy enough to learn and you can rename each bulb for better identification. It could be less cumbersome to set timers and automate by scenes, but everything worked fine.

I have a combination of TP-link switches and Philips Hue lightbulbs for my smart home. This is a great compliment for my lights that do not connect to a switch. It was easy to install and works well with my Google Home.

Purchased the Phillips Hue White starter pack with bridge and absolutely love it. Paired it to a Google Home mini and we can control lights wherever Google can hear us from. Ability to control individual lights in a room is great. The integration between smartphone, Google mini, even Siri was easy to set up and operate. Only advice is when setting up give simple naming routines for each bulb so it’s easier to verbally control individual settings. Excited to find other devices to connect to our home.

They sure are convenient. Now as soon as I leave the room I don't have to come back to turn off my mom's light lol. Now I just need something to go get my blanket when I want it! Guess when I have kids they can. Lol.

These bulbs are expensive, but work so well along with the app.
