Incorrect Product Description

The product information is incorrect.
The description says "Control it instantly via Bluetooth in one room, or connect to a Hue bridge (sold separately)". This is incorrect, these bulbs are not bluetooth compatible. They can only be used as normal light bulbs unless you buy a dimmer switch or Hue bridge. See my attached photos below for the setup instructions and the photos of the base of the bulbs which due not include a Bluetooth logo (which the official Philips Hue Bluetooth app mentions is present on Bluetooth-capable bulbs).
The Key Specs say "Dimmable", which is technically true if you have a Hue bridge (sold separately). What it does *not* mention is that bulbs say "DO NOT USE WITH DIMMERS" and the box says "Not suitable for use with dimmers unless specifically designed for Philips Hue." This is an important clarification that is mentioned on the back of the box which Best Buy has neglected to include in the photos of the product. I've included a photo of it below.
The Specifications also neglect to mention that these bulbs are "Not for use in totally enclosed or recessed fixtures." I will grant that this is a common aspect of LED bulbs and it is frustratingly common for resellers like Best Buy to leave this important tidbit off. That being said, it is unacceptable not to inform people of this.
Honestly, these bulbs are probably decent value for smart bulbs, but it is unacceptable to have incomplete and incorrect information about a product, ESPECIALLY information under the category "WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS" on the back of the box. How easy would it be just to at least include a picture of the back box on the product page? This would've saved me a ton of time and trouble.

I really like these older style bulbs. No Bluetooth but I prefer to use them with the hub anyway - it's more reliable. 2700K, which I prefer. Every once in a while they go on sale for $7.50 a bulb which is a great value. I've got lots of these bulbs that have been going strong for years with no issues. Only ones that have died have been used outside, which they are not even rated for.

You don’t need a Hub to use Alexa

Other reviews keep saying you need a hub to operate Alexa. We have used this same model number over the years without a hub. Screw the bulb into your lamp…go to your Alexa app & “Add device.” Next…Select Phillips from the list provided & pair the bulb. That’s it!! Literally only takes minutes to connect Alexa. We had two bulbs that died under the 3 year mark, so we are buying more to replace them. The bulbs have been great without any disconnecting issues.

I had some Philips Hue lights, but then tried to go to some of the other brands for cost savings reasons. But the headache in setting those other brands up and having multiple apps just became a burden. The Philips Hue app is super easy to use, The lights are super easy to set up on Hue Bridge and unlike those other lights and apps once they installed we have had NO problems at all. Two thumbs up. Wish they were cheaper but you can catch a sale from time to time.

Pretty much the only bulbs we have in our home. Expensive upfront but electric savings overtime is a plus. Perfect for ambience, nice to be able to dim any light.

I have tried several other brands of smart lights from other major and minor brands and none of them come close. Maybe it's the app, which is best in class by far. Maybe it's the hub that allows the compatibility and response time to be unmatched. Maybe it's just the wide breadth of compatibility and support. The actual light that it produces is great too, quite bright and very even.

Nothing fancy, but they work. Using them for outdoor lights by the door. I have them setup through the hue app to come on at sunset and turn off ~10:30pm. It's nice to come home to a lit doorway and it helps with security. I have the hub, so I have no use for the bluetooth. A little expensive not on sale, but that's the case with all the hue products to be in their ecosystem to be able to control all your different lights through one app.

Bought these as front pouch light. Works well with HUE outdoor motion sensor and the app. Set them to dim from sundown to sunrise, full bright when there is motion, back to dim after 2 minutes. Initially was going to get SmartThing light bulbs, and I am glad I got these.

These bulbs are so simple to set up and use it is amazing. Install them in the socket, pull up the app and they are immediately recognized. Rename them, add them to any groups you have and control them via Alexa or the Hue app.

These bulbs do exactly what they say; the price was quite reasonable, and they sync perfectly with any and all other Hue devices (as we've come to expect). My only issue is that they are single color (i.e. they can't change color temperature). At $7.50/bulb, and with the expectation they'll last pretty much as long as I own my home, I guess that's just nitpicking.

I like the Hue bulbs. They were the first smart bulbs I got. You need a hub to work. They are a lot more expensive than the Wiz bulbs also made by Philips. When we got a new router only the Hue bulbs would connect again. They are worth the extra cost

I prefer Philips Hue LED over other brands. I bought these white smart bulbs on sale for less than 2 for 1. They were advertised as having Bluetooth but they don't. I still kept them as I have the bridge to link them from a previous starter kit purchase. I was interested in the Bluetooth features so I was pretty bummed at first. It's a smart bulb regardless. If I could get the same deal again I would purchase them. The color ones are the best but they cost much more. In certain areas these are more than good enough. I have a mix of the color and white. Our electric bill went down when we switched to all LED bulbs.

Works great with my existing Hue bulbs and system. This is 2700k so it's the temperature of an incandescent bulb. Easy to setup and discovery of new bulbs went off without a hitch.
