Just as easy to set up as the original bulbs in the starter set. Just screw it in and search for it. Done. Fits right into routines and everything. I want more!

The Phillips Hues color changing stand alone light bulbs are easy to use and work great. I have more than one in my house. The only con is that they are on the pricey side, but they are worth in when you consider the time and ease in set-up compared to the aggravation when getting other systems to work (like WeMo). There are periodic sales that make them even more appealing - they have a long life - haven't had one fail yet. Nice for the holiday seasons - click of a button and they can be orange for Halloween, red or green for Christmas. I have begun to wonder if having too many in the house began to pull down my internet bandwidth though? Overall I would still recommend them.

These bulbs really give a great ambiance to any room. There’s also tons of customizable features from within the Hue app that you’ll find incredibly interesting.

Love the HUE system. Makes it easy to control the mood in the home, and great for security with custom timer settings and control from the app while traveling.

These bulbs are bright and extremely responsive. The app alllows for a lot of color customizations and it’s easy to set the vibe with a simple light change.

I started with the color pack and have added bulbs over time. Pricey for some but after getting started I noticed I really enjoyed the ambiance they create.

I wish I bought more of these Philips Hue color lights. Easy to install and configure. No issues getting these lights added to my Google Home app as well.

As many others have stated, these Gen 3 Hue bulbs are producing much richer colors than the Gen 2 bulbs which I started with! In my opinion, a $5 cost savings to buy Gen 2 bulbs is not worth the savings with the added color production you get out of Gen 3. There are a few things I would want for this to be a perfect bulb. 1) Default Color Setting -- the ability to set a default color / warmth / brightness for every time the light is turned on without using a Routine. While you can set these if you create a Routine in the Hue app, I'd prefer a default that, when someone uses the wall switch, the light would turn on with. Ideally this would be fixed with a Hue app/bridge software update. 2) Dimmable Bulbs -- these bulbs are not dimmable via standard techniques. They are only dimmable via RF such as via the Hue app, the Hue wall switch or automated home hub (ie. SmartThings). Buying a GE z-wave wall switch or even a standard wall switch with dimming will not work with these. Hoping Gen 4 would allow for this functionality OR have a Hue-based switch that isn't as unsightly as the current. Here's my setup if it helps with understanding my review. 10 Hue Gen 3 color ambiance bulbs 4 Hue Gen 2 color ambiance 4 Hue Gen 2 white ambiance bulbs, 2 Hue white bulbs, Hue Hub (Gen 2), SmartThings Hub (Gen 2) 2x GE z-wave wall switches with dimming (not for Hue-bulbs), 4x GE z-wave in-wall receptacles various SmartThings sensors

Amazing product! Set the mood instantly with vivid colors using the easy to use app or with Alexa. A must have for any smart home....advanced or starter!

Added another one of these lights to our home. Almost all lights have hue lights now can ask Alexa to turn off light after tucked into bed. Pure luxury

I love these light bulbs because we can control them on our phones and they change colors. So brightening and dimming our lights can be done remotely. Imagine you left the light on in the kitchen downstairs and don't feel like walking downstairs to turn it off. Just grab your phone and either dim the light or turn it completely off. It's amazing!!!

This is my 4th hue light, I have them set up for different purposes and I am more than pleased with them. Although I do admit they are a tad costly.

I love these. Bought a cooole to pair along with my white ambiance kit. Easy to add. Just remember to write down your serial number on the bulb before screwing it in so you can add it via the app. I couldn't find it on the box. A bit on the pricey side.

There is nothing you can no set up for these Philips Hue bulbs!!!.. I love the color range, speed, brightness, and overall experience with these!

The Gen 3 bulb provides richer colors than the previous generation. It is on par with the light strip which works perfectly for setting a scene.

These lights synced together with other multicolor lights is the perfect touch to our movie room. Easy to download the app, get started, and use!
