absolutely love these bulbs. Can control with Alexa or Google home. Able to dim lights or change color. Also turn on or off from phone. How did I ever live without these?

I have the 3rd generation starter kit and couldn't be happier. The colors are deep and rich and fun to play with. It can become an addiction. I was originally thinking about getting a bloom for behind my tv but I realized the blooms have less lumens. Since my tv is caddy cornered I was able to use an old lamp with a hues bulb and hid it behind my tv. It looks great and can dim it as little and as much as I want. I have my Christmas tree up in my living room and have been lighting the room up with red and green enhancing my Xmas experience. Fun all around and you don't realize you need them until you got them.

So first let's start off with the light and not the technology. it's great wonderful colors that you can get on these bulbs and that's the best part about it. Going down to probably what is 2200 k That's a really warm orange color that allows you to really feel relaxed especially when dim down. And then you can scale that up to somewhere around 4,000 k or something a little more stimulating or if you really need some kind of bright bright color turn all the way up to 6500 k. I love that aspect about this bulbs and that's the best thing about them. Now it's dive into why this only gets three stars. first I almost want to give this 1 and 1/2 stars for the false advertising. this does not work with the Google Assistant which is stated in this Amazon listing as well as printed on the box. It does not work with the Google Assistant. It only works with the Google home. Only way that this works with the Google Assistant is to get the Philips hub. Anyone that's buying the Bluetooth is buying it because I don't want the hub. so if I could give this two and a half stars I would because I don't like false advertising and I bought these because I wanted it to work with my Google Assistant and not have to get the hub.

This is an awesome light bulb that has all the colors of the rainbow. Easy to set up, use, and very responsive specially when linked to homekit via Siri voice control.

Many colors to choose form. Adds quite a few moods to your room. can be dimmed to and customize colors and effects. i like so change the light for different events.

Love the Philips Hue lights with my Google Home's. The light is bright and vibrant and the ability to dim is fantastic. High variety of colors and works very easy!

The newer bulbs have much better colors, especially blue and green. My only wish however is that the price come down a bit, $50 for any LED is simply too high now.

The things you can do with these smart bulbs are endless. Mine are programmed to dim when I watch movies thru Plex. I can change colors within seconds. Great stuff

I think this bulb is a bit expensive but it does what it promises. Tons of color options and easy to control via the hub. If you have hue, this is a fun addition

This is my 7th Hue bulb. They work right out of the box. Never had any issues with color bulbs. Only had one white bulb ever go bad but that was the cheap one.

These lights are beautiful and so fun to play with. I have them all over the house and synced up to my multimedia. It's nice to be able to change the ambience and color to help my eyes at certain parts of the day and night. I wish the prices were a bit lower but I can't complain at how long they will last and how much money they will save me in the long run.

I absolutely love this light! I originally bought the basic white light starter kit to see how I even liked the product, and I fell in love. After having some vouchers I decided to invest into the color options and they are even more amazing. There are so many color options to pick from, and the fact I can control it from my phone- set timers, turn on/ off or dim lights from anywhere, and now change the color is fantastic! On Halloween I turn these lights to be orange and the trick- or- treaters LOVED it, I cant wait for Christmas and change the colors to red and green!

I have had these lights for a few months now and they work great. My daughter has 6 of these in the ceiling in her room and she loves them. She can change any one of them to different colors or just have all of them the same. She also has them linked to her music so they flash in sync. I also have more that I use in the main part of the house as well. I love that I can turn them on using Alexa and adjust the brightness with my voice as well. The app is easy to use and setup has been easy and start forward. There are so many things you can do with these lights.

I was initially very skeptical of having a smart bulb that would change colors based on various parameters. Initially, I was curious what color it shows up without any wifi connectivity as an ordinary bulb (its yellow by the way). Paying a hefty price for that seemed me to question my intellect. But after paring it with my wifi control switch hub, I was spellbound. Granted this is a fancy purchase, but having to change the colors of the room based on whatever the mood is brought life to my house. I am planning to buy more and give my home a complete makeover.

I now use a whole mess of these around the house. Great app control, great HomeKit compatibility (as well as Alexa). Very rich colors, very dimmable.

I've owned several of the Phillips Hue lights for about a year now and love them. They work great, easy to set up and use, and are very reliable.

A bit expensive but they do add to the ambiance of a room. I'd recommend waiting for a sale or buying a starter kit as a hue bridge is needed.

These lights are absolutely amazing. I debated getting them for some time since they are obviously a bit pricey in relation to other traditional lighting. The demonstration they have set up in Best Buy made the lights appealing, but after moving into the 1st home I've owned last year which has a modern theme to it, I'd say these lights are the biggest game changer I've purchased. They completely change the entire mood to your living spaces, and there seems to be a setting no matter what activity you are doing or what mood you are feeling. You can control the brightness and color of the lights for each individual light, but also group together lights labeled under an entire room. You can control the lights through an app on your phone (and there are several additional apps for Hue that are great extensions; such as "Hue Fireworks") although there is the option to purchase a dimmer switch and a switch with presets. Probably the coolest feature is linking these lights with personal assistant devices such as Google Home or Alexa, where you can then have complete command over every individual light/ room/ entire lighting throughout your house with voice control. Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla would be thrilled by this unique, convenient, exciting, and genius invention.

For the most part, smart lights are for dummies. The problem with these type of lights is the control. If you use this in place of a light with a wall switch (like overhead lighting) then you'll have to have your cell phone handy all the time, connect to Alexa or Google Home, or shell out more cash for battery powered and wall mounted Philips switch to put on the wall next to the old switch. if you switch the light off, goodbye smart bulb. You have to switch the light back on, wait for the bulb to boot up and then control it with the above mentioned stuff. Plus, you'll need to buy a Philips Hue Hub to control this (even with Alexa or whatnot). So, if you plan to do your whole house with these lights, don't. Not to mention that at over $30 per bulb, you'd go broke fitting a whole house with these. That being said, these can be cool accessories to spruce up your place with a splash of color. I use this as ambient light behind my TV. I don't need it to see and it won't get switched off by someone leaving the room or whatnot. It have it connected to my Harmony Hub so it will turn on Red when I am using Nintendo, Blue with PS4, Green with Xbox, Purple with Roku and so on. It's a cool effect. I was given a Philips Hub or else I wouldn't have bothered, but it's nice. For the right use, worth it. For practical lighting uses, don't get it.

No issues at all. Works like a normal bulb on regular whites, then turns fun with alexa and the app. Great for hollidays and mood setting.
