I have HUE bulbs throughout my house. I purchased all the first gen bulbs which are great. I bought this second gen bulb for a new lamp I have and the colors are more vibrant and beautiful than the first gen! Blues, green, and yellows are MUCH better than the previous gen.

got these on sale. I have several already installed. I use these with both alexa and google home. Have not had any trouble because of the lights. These should last several years. Will be using them for driveway lights, have them turn colors at night so I'll know I'm home. :)

I got 2 of these on black Friday and I am in love... My bf is worried im gonna blow all our money on new bulbs for the entire house. so convenient when running through my google home mini and set up was super easy. bought one for my mother in law for christmas too!

If you are thinking about living in a smarter house. Don't look any further than starting with hue lights. It is the most convenient way to turn off your lights when you are too lazy to get up and flip a switch. Don't be alarmed they are pricey but, it's worth it!

Originally bought the start up kit in 2014 and it doesn't have nearly as wide of a color value as the new Hue lights. Wanted to try a new bulb out before buying more and now i'll be buying more! Easy to set up and fun to change colors for holidays and birthdays.

The Hue bulbs and hub were easy to set up, and the software for my phone seems to have enough features. There might be a few missing items, like flashing lights for parties, or color cycling, but I was able to use IFTTT for that. I will buy more in the future!

Vibrant colors for all occasions and decor, it is easy to connect to any hub (smartthings, Google, alexa, etc), I love the easy setup and programming.

We bought this light to add some dim color to our room at night and help with calming down to sleep. The spectrum of colors is great as well as the dimmable options. We were also able to connect this to our Google Home Mini for voice command- which works great! The Hue App itself is not anything awesome, but there are many third party apps available for purchase that take this light to the next level- one app changes the light pulses and colors according to the music playing on spotify, another has light changes that match a soothing rain shower, etc. Would highly recommend!

Along with this device, I have invested heavily in the Philips Hue ecosystem so I will be a bit biased. Though the price is a bit expensive per bulb, It is great at how well such devices are controlled via apps and even voice control like Alexa and Siri. All of these control methods overlap yet disrupt the other rarely. The bulb itself and a grand improvement over 2nd gen multicolor bulbs. The fact it does cool and warm whites AND color makes me want to install these all over the house. Again, the cost keeps that from being effective (maybe eventually...). Fits and standard American outlet, 15W which is fine for lamps and even smaller rooms but anything too large you may need multiple bulbs. Personally, I tend to light rooms with cheaper Philips white bulbs and use these for accents. I am quite happy with how my network of automated lights are coming along. A Philips hub is needed and is very controllable by many apps and assistants. Besides the price, my only caveat is that the app is clunky. I find that I use HomeKit almost exclusively for these bulbs with a little help from iHome and iDevices apps. Philips Hue app is a last ditch effort.

I recently purchased my first Philips Hue Starter kit and wanted to add one of the color lights into the mix. I am extremely impressed with the Philips Hue multi-color light and i'ts ability to switch back and forth between colors with the ease of voice command or smartphone access. This is a great purchase for backdrop lighting, themed lighting for events, and when it transitions to white it is seamless with my other bulbs. I would highly recommend this purchase and if money isn't an option I would suggest purchasing all hue color lights, due to their dual functions.

I decided to buy the Phillips Hue starter kit but that only came with 3 light bulbs so I need to buy another one for my living room. What can I say about these light bulbs? They are a lot of fun to play with. They aren't too bright and don't radiate heat. I love being able to dim them with my Echo Dot. Changing the color of the lights is fun and there are so many different color settings and apps that work with these light bulbs. Easy to use. Good quality product. They are on the expensive side but they last a long time so hopefully not all your light bulbs go out at the same time.

I love this product, easy to use app and gives an amazing setting to my home. Definitely a product to recommend for someone who appreciates energy. The app is very manageable and there are great features on setting routines and different color settings.

Jumped into the world of smart lighting. I purchased this bulb along with the starter kit as I had four lamps I wanted to use them in. Love the colors and being able to quickly change the brightness and color / warmth with my phone and Apple Home/Siri.

I know it's crazy to spend so much on a lightbulb but I caution you on being so quick to judge. My wife thought I'd lost my mind when I came home with five bulbs that cost over $200. However, she has come to appreciate my vision as we are now able to adjust lighting in the living room, dining room, and bedroom to fit our mood or needs based on what we're doing. For us, the color of the room makes a difference in our moods and overall comfort. I highly recommend these bulbs and look forward to a day when I can afford to put them throughout my home especially in the kid's rooms.

This lighting system is very cool and fun to play with. I can check my my lights from anywhere with my phone (as long as I have service on my phone) it is very expensive at $50 each for color bulbs and $15 each for white bulbs or a 4 pack for $50.

As expected these are very pricey but you get what you pay for and that would be quality. You still need to buy a hub to even be able to use these so take that into consideration. I cant wait for the future where stuff like this is the standard.

What a fun experience this has been, controlling lights remotely, this technology has a easy learning curve but also offers plenty of customization should you desire to have more complex integration with other devices, systems. I recommend this!

So, with it already understood that these smart lights are NOT cheap, I can say that they are REALLY awesome. My living room lamps all have these bulbs and I absolutely love the atmosphere you can give with these! The app is great and I also use the dimmer switch to easily flip them all on. I'm really excited to get them connected to my alexa as well for voice command. SUPER easy to set up with the bridge and the app. Bottom line, if you have the cash and are looking to do some nice smart lighting in your home, I'd totally recommend!

I love these lights. So many option to choose. The compatible apps are endless. Seamless with HomeKit. A little pricey but you can catch them on sale.
