My first step in automating home lighting. These lights looks very beautiful and really looks fancy.

Awesome in every way. Lights are super colorful. They aren't even hot ever. Energy efficient. Ambiance and dance strobe to music is incredible.

I tried a few other similar lights and this one works the best. Also software works out of the box.

The lights bulbs are awesome and change to many colors. They are pretty weak at making Green and are not as bright as some LED lightbulbs.

Philips Hue has come a long way since it was first created, and while the hardware has gotten better and better, the application is certainly something that could use some improving. The good news is with an open API there are a ton of third party apps for the iPhone and Android platforms. Anything from cool ambient lighting controls, to making your living room a flat out RAVE by making the lights strobe to your favorite music. If you are a lighting enthusiast this is a must have. It is a proven fact that our mood is directly affected by the type of lighting, i.e. color temperature, we are surrounded by. Other then that my favorite thing about this product is its outstanding reliability and ease of connectivity all to do with the outstanding R&D at Philips. One request Philips: please create a hardware wifi switch that allows the user to turn the lights off and on without searing through the sofa cushions for the iPhone.

These lights are awesome to change the atmosphere in any room. I have the light strips as well, and they are worth the money.

A great addition to our home. The bulbs are not as bright as they could be. The iOS app is a little limiting but when you pick up 3rd party apps it works great. Well worth the purchase.

It took me a while to build up the courage to purchase 3 light bulbs for 200, but it was definitely worth every penny.

Love the lights, Kids love changing the colors. Little pricey but worth the fun and ease of use. Not sure its ready to use for everyday or all of your lights. Spouse doesnt want to use a phone or tablet to turn on or off lights. Phillips app does some simple functions but our favorite app is Hue Disco for android that changes lights while listening to music.

very neat product basically a luxury item i guess. does make turning on lights and dimming lights more easier. I do wish the lights were brighter in other colors other than white.

The range wasn't wide enough to cover everywhere in our house, but was good enough if we placed the controller carefully. The thing is expensive, but the quality seems good and hopefully it will come down so I can get more bulbs. The color change isn't autonomous, which means it only changes color if an app is running to make it change color, but you can use an old phone for that and there's a lot of cool third party apps for it.

These lights although expensive are amazing. Paired up with my TV when watching a show has never been this cool

works great. only problem we have is with our cell phone's gps showing us away from home and therefore turning the lights off and on at times. lights work great as advertised.

I bought these mostly to be able to control lighting in a large room remotely. They turned out to be even better than I thought. I have them in my bedroom, den and strip in the kitchen. I can control them from anywhere in the house and they can be literally any combination of colors. Makes for fun conversation!

I find it rather expensive but it is totally awesome I have yet to use all of its potential but the kids love it they've already downloaded the app on their iPod & iPad

The philips hue bulbs enhances my living space by adding splashes of color to set the mood. The only downside (which also serves somewhat as an added bonus) is that the A-19 bulbs can't reproduce light blue or green well, but lacking that ability allows it to serve as a standard bulb when needed providing the soft/natural white light of general light bulbs. If it was perfect and could do both, I'd give it 5 stars.

We love our Hue lighting! The kids have some in their rooms too!

The setup instructions for this product were very well done; however, you need to go to Phillips website to find them. The app that comes with the Hue lights is okay, but Phillips recommends a variety that really cool. I'm using the Light Switch App which is very good but there are probably others that are even better.

Got a second starter set as a gift, the person fell in love with them and got the rope light as well.

I bought this for my husband and, at first he seemed unsure about what and where to put them, and had noticed another brand on the market that sold one bulb which you can turn on and off, etc with your smart phone. It wasn't until we started looking at some YouTube videos that helped us understand what the Hue capabilities are. It's only been one day, but they have proven to be very cool. Some functions that are not readily noticeable are: -The lights can turn on to a particular color setting when you come home (automatically) -You can take a picture (of a sunset for example) and match any color pixel on that picture and make that a preset color. -you can turn on and off lights remotely There are more features, but, it's just day 1. He's really happy and excited about this gift.
