I have no clue how anyone here can give more than 2 stars on this product. I opened the package and put in the lights on my fixture. hooked up the wired HUB. Now from that point forward, i was on my own. the instructions (OR LACK OF) only read legal things that saves Phillips' BEHIND. No real what to do or how to hook up. Only remotely helpful thing was to go to a website for the product, which i did and still was at a total loss because it was a marketing website, not help. I just got my samsung galaxy and looked up HUE at which the first pick was a free app from Phillip. I thought, ok im going in the right direction. finally got the lights to sync with the HUB and my App. Only problem was, i had purchased 2 single bulbs extra because my fixture is a 5 bulb fixture. Soooo, 2 extra bulbs did not follow suit of the others. I started fooling around with the app, which is mundane by the way, and found i had to add the lights, which makes sense. I added them and finally tried to get them all same color but took me forever. I am mechanically/electronically inclined, so that says alot. Well, at random the lights would not follow the other 3 bulbs, which is frustarating. I paid 2 bucks for a 3rd party app, synced and got better results, even a music section that makes the lights change to beats, which i do not think the phillips app had. Still had issues with the 2 extra bulbs, and not to mention the delay of changing colors from the apps. In all, this product is horrendous. I srsly took alot to buy it because i was saving up for Lifx bulbs which are 10x btter than this, but also cost 100 a bulb, but require nothing more than an app, no HUB. I just couldnt put 500 on it, but after i return this product (350 total) ill just save up for the Lifx ones.

I ended up returning my Philips Hue Starter pack simply because for what it is, wasn't worth $200. I was interested in truly keeping the bulbs for "future-proofing" a room in the house, but colored lights, I couldn't justify at the end of the day... I did like the app and user schemes that people have done to help adjust moods. When the price eventually drops on bulbs (LEDs are slowly dropping), I may revisit these as they were the most refined.

What we really like about it is that now we can control the lighting color and intensity while watching movies in the media room. Having the right color temperature at the right intensity allows for.much better movie watching experience . I really think we will enjoy them.

Great little system. A lot of color selection and easy to setup. Great for holidays!

This is the coolest home device I used in a while. It even lets you create a scene with a personal picture and draw out the colors to the bulb. looking forward to getting more bulbs!

I love my hue and it's used daily. Hardly ever any issues
